Chapter 42: Forming a Magic Core, Bravery or Stupidness

Elizabeth and Merlin were currently in the basement of the mansion, Elizabeth just followed Merlin quietly and the two of them then arrive at a weird hallway. They were walking calmly towards it and a while later they finally arrive at something that looks like a door.

'This is a weird place.' Elizabeth thought while looking around the hallway, Merlin who was right beside her, and press a secret button that Elizabeth literally saw. The Two of them waited for something and a while later a monotone that came from the door was heard.

(Scanning.....)

A weird laser light scanned the whole body of Merlin, Elizabeth who saw this was curious and finally realize that it was a scan that would identify Merlin. It took a moment for the scanned to be completed and after the scan was complete, The monotone voice spoke.

(Merlin, Legendary Magic Kreiger)

Elizabeth was surprised at what she heard, It seems that Merlin was very powerful. She knew about this but she didn't know the full power of Merlin, But with the title. She could guess the power output of Merlin which also means that Merlin is very powerful.

The Giant Door slowly opens itself, Merlin then entered while Elizabeth followed her. Elizabeth was looking around and found out that it was a large hall, She was curious about a lot of things so she wanted to know what this place was. Merlin then turn around and spoke to Elizabeth with a serious voice.

"Elizabeth follow me." Merlin said as she opens something weird, Elizabeth did what she was told and followed right beside Merlin. It seems that they were entering into some platform, It was a weird Platform but Elizabeth wanted to form the Magic Circle so she guesses that everything in here is nonsense.

The two of them entered the circular Platform, Elizabeth was still looking around with a curious face. Merlin who was in front took out a weird book and spoke to Elizabeth about the process of making a Magic Circle, Merlin was really focused on the creation of Elizabeth's Magic Circle.

"Stand in the center." Merlin said towards Elizabeth. Hearing her, Elizabeth began heading towards the center of the platform and began standing there. This was a weird process on creating a Magic Circle but the world is full of weird things so all Elizabeth could do is accept it.

Elizabeth was now standing in the center of the Platform, She was staring at Merlin with interest while Merlin who was holding some book sighed. It seems that there was something weird about Merlin so Elizabeth asked about the problem.

"What's the problem?" Elizabeth asked, Merlin look very stress for some reason. She has been observing Merlin since she met her but she was really not looking good today. It seems that something happened, Merlin who heard Elizabeth decided to speak about the truth. It was better for her to tell the truth than lie to Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth, I want to ask you something?" Merlin said towards Elizabeth, Elizabeth was surprised when she heard what Merlin said. But she just took it with a calm face and didn't panic, Elizabeth nodded towards Merlin and spoke to her with a calm voice.

"It seems that this isn't the place where I would make my Magic Core." Elizabeth spoke with a calm voice. Merlin who heard Elizabeth was in silence, It was the truth there was something more about this place. It was supposed to be for Arthur but seen him acting like and he already constructed his Magic Core.

"This place is an ancient hall." Merlin said with full honesty, She didn't want to lie and want Elizabeth to choose if she wanted to do it or not. Elizabeth when hearing her was now curious about this hall, but before she could ask about it Merlin already spoke.

"This Place is one of the Churches of Chaos, With Common sense. When there is Order there is also Chaos. The Chaos followers were already extinct and most of them died due to their own corruption. My Family was one of the families that had members of the Chaos, They didn't want the Chaos to die off so we have been finding a perfect Magic Krieger."

"Elizabeth, I want you to choose. Do you want to have both Chaos and Order in your body? This is a dangerous process, We can stop before continuing so it's okay to disagree." Merlin said with a serious voice, As much as she wanted to see a Magic Krieger that has Chaos and Orders with her grasps she didn't want her second student to suffer.

'Eh? What the hell is happening.' Elizabeth thought to herself, She began thinking about the things that happen. It seems the Merlin wanted to put two magic cores inside it, It could either be bad or good for Elizabeth. It seems that Mana of Chaos exists in this world and judging from the name it must not be accepted.

'There is also the fact that Chaos Followers are currently extinct or maybe some are in hiding.' Elizabeth thought about it, Merlin wanted her to not do it. She could understand what Merlin was trying to say and it was not a good thing to put a talented student on a death trial.

After a while of thinking, Elizabeth manages to arrive at the choice. This would shape her whole life and would influence the people around her. This was a risky choice by Elizabeth has been at risk ever since she got into the Primordial World and This world.

"I'll do it." Elizabeth said with a calm voice, She was confident in her body and was interested in the Mana of Chaos. Merlin who heard her was about to refute but then she saw Elizabeth's serious eyes, It seems that the girl in front of her wanted to take the test.

"Are you sure about that?" Merlin said with a worried voice, She just cannot stop thinking about this place when Elizabeth appeared in the mansion. Elizabeth seems like the perfect candidate for this test but she didn't want to take Elizabeth's future or life for her test. But she knew that there was something special about Elizabeth.

"I'm sure," Elizabeth said with a serious voice, She was sure about her choice. When she chooses a choice she would go with it. And she was also confident in her body, Hearing Elizabeth. Merlin sighed and prepared the process to fuse to magic cores together.

'Why am I acting like this?' Merlin thought to herself, She was a Legendary Magic Krieger, and to think that she was acting like a normal girl for no reason. She then manages to gather her own confidence to not Elizabeth get killed in this process.

"Elizabeth sit on the ground and cross your legs." Merlin said towards Elizabeth who was standing in the center of the platform. Hearing what Merlin said, Elizabeth then sat on the floor in a cross sitting position. After seeing Elizabeth sitting on the ground, Merlin continued.

"Breath in and out and calm your mind, Feel the mana around you and cover them. You could see the mana as an invisible gas that flows through everything in the world." Merlin said a lot of instructions, Elizabeth did what Merlin said and something surprising happens to her.

While she was calming her mind down, Relaxing to the lowest point in her many lives. Elizabeth felt something touching her, She then opens her eyes and saw something different. Elizabeth saw a color of many types, This was the mana that Merlin was talking about.

'Weird.' Elizabeth first thought when seeing the Mana. By her guess, this is the Mana of Order it was very calm and easy to control. Merlin seeing Elizabeth knew that she was currently in a Mana Sight, This would only happen once in a Magic Krieger's time. Only in the moment where their own Magic Core was getting built.

"Elizabeth gather the mana in your body." Merlin said towards Elizabeth. Elizabeth did what Merlin told her to do and controlled the Mana around her. She began absorbing them at a fast speed, She didn't bother stopping herself and gathered what she can get.

Merlin seeing this was surprised, It was hard for a Magic Krieger to gather a lot of Mana if it was their first time. But Elizabeth's first time affected the area around her, Merlin saw a breeze heading towards Elizabeth making a whirlpool.

Elizabeth who was absorbing the whirlpool of mana at a fast speed felt the Magic Core building itself, It took a while for the whole core to form but it looks like a Golden Crystal. It was weird and while she was thinking about this Elizabeth heard Merlin's voice.

"Elizabeth, After forming the Mana of Order Magic Core. Look down and open the small blocked hole." Elizabeth hearing Merlin began looking for the Small blocked hole that was below her, She quickly saw it but she didn't open the hole. She waited for her first Magic Core to solidify itself so that she won't get overwhelmed by the Mana that was covered in the small hole.

A while later, The First Magic Core was now formed. It was time for Elizabeth to open the small hole, It was a weird hole but she would do what Merlin said. Seeing Elizabeth was about to open the small hole, Merlin did one thing.

'Space Dimension' Merlin created a spell to cut off the whole area from the real world, They were currently in the basement of the Mansion but Merlin wasn't the only Legendary Magic Krieger. She didn't want them to notice what was happening in this Basement.

A sound could be heard when Elizabeth took out the thing that was blocking the small hole, Elizabeth stared at it and found a pitch black of darkness. It was scary for normal people but Elizabeth didn't fear the darkness, A while later something was seen in the hole and it was slowly going out. Elizabeth knew what was going out of the hole.

'Mana of Chaos.' This thought passed through her mind, But it was the moment the Mana of Chaos got out of the hole and engulf the whole area. Merlin was not affected by this Chaos since she was strong but Elizabeth who was at the epicenter made her worried.

Elizabeth who was at the Epicenter was feeling sick by this Chaos, She felt that she was thrown into a sewage canal but she didn't have a choice but to absorb the Chaos. Elizabeth then opens herself and made another Magic Circle for the Mana of Chaos, And something that she didn't expect happened.

"It hurts!" Elizabeth muttered, She was gritting her teeth due to the pain. It felt that somebody just punch her heart in the inside while beating up her lungs. This was the second time she felt a pain like this other than the first which was her body splitting apart. A notification was heard which was completely surprising to her.

[User has been detected to have Two Magic Cores.]

[Each Being can only have one Magic Core.]

[Balance....]

This was the last notification Elizabeth heard before feeling another level of pain, Her Two Magic Cores was forced to combine and the feeling was like your two lungs getting combine in an ugly way. It was not a good feeling for her and Elizabeth who can't take this level of pain especially with the pain receptors on her body.

After the Combination of Two Magic Cores in different Mana, Elizabeth got her consciousness thrown out and was forced to be in deep sleep for the fourth or fifth time. Merlin who saw her unconscious was worried and runs towards Elizabeth, She then began holding Elizabeth's body and felt that Elizabeth was still alive. She smiles gently and it seems that her student was braver than her.
