Chapter 2: ALEXA AND KATIE { MILA'S POV }
MIA'S POV
"Paris Berelc AKA Alexa Mendoza at the show called Alexa and Katie on Netflix once said, 'If you have a Katie, get a hold of it and never let go.' That was our promise to each other, and you're the Alexa to my Katie. Remember, Mila?" I'm currently listening to the audio files on my Mp3 player that my sister doesn't use anymore. I'm sitting on the school bus, going to school at 7 AM.
"I always call you my Alexa, because of how strong you are showing to your mother, even right after your dad scolded or do something bad to you, you're brave. Just like Alexa." I roll my eyes at what I just heard from this 'dead' Katie, and of course, she ain't dead! She's trolling us!
Going down the school bus before heading the school, I check my phone and there's a text from Ruby, she said:
Ruby:
What if she's dead?
I groan and close my eyes, "No! There's no way in fucking hell that Katie Hargreeves is dead, Ruby!" I said to my phone as Alazae comes to me.
She's my friend who helped me roast Katie to the groupchat I made on Whatsapp for Katie and the one who told her to get a life in China so she can get Coronavirus and die. "Hey, M. How's basketball yesterday?" Alazae said as I remove the earphones and look at her, "Well, it's just the same but I got this weird envelope."
She stops walking and looks at me confused, "And there was no return address, it's just my name. Then I thought it would be Sabina's envelope." We walk to the nearest bench and sit down as I get the SD cards and the notebook from my bag, she grabs it and looks at it. "Who's it from?"
I look around to see if anybody is looking at us, I look at her again. "It's from Katie." She looks at me again and opens the notebook, "Alexa AKA Mila Mullen, killed her Katie." She read as she quickly closes it, "What the actual fuck? Did you and the girls talked?" I nod and start to cry, "The thing is, we don't know if she's dead or not." She holds my hand and rubs her thumb on my knuckles.
"Mila, she ain't dead. We know that, didn't she faked her death on Izzy?" I look at her as she wipes my tears with her other hand, "And how would she mail these to you-" "I-It's not just me, Sabina got hers last night."
She huffed and looks around, "This? Is fucking bullshit, unblock her on Whatsapp and text her right now, Mila." She said as I shake my head 'no'. "She's not replying, Alazae. I waited for hours, and she's not answering. Not even delivered either." I grab the SD card and the notebook from her as I stand up and put my bag behind me, "Even if she's dead, I'm not the reason she died." I wipe the remaining tears and leave Alazae.

I went to the cafeteria and sit down at the table I usually sit, I grab my lunch bag and put it on the table.
Ping!
I look at my phone to see a dm from Xia on Twitter, she said:
Xia:
Having too much sunshine on you could cause a nightmare. Toodles!
I look quickly look at her Twitter account and she already deactivated it. What does she mean? I receive a private message from Sabina, she pictures a red notebook as the other picture are the words written on the first page.
It said: "Adventures of Sabina is already done, are you excited to hear the story?" I close my eyes as I sigh, Katie's being a crazy bitch. I went to Whatsapp and still no response from her, I groan in irritation.
"You okay? You seem... off." Alazae sits on the other side of the table as I look at her, "Why am I having these audio files? Why my friends on Twitter? Why us?! She faked her fucking death on us! She killed herself!" I annoyingly said as she grabs my left hand and holds it.
"Remember what you said earlier today, M. Even if she killed herself, you are not the reason why." She gives me a weak smile, "And besides, fuck her, right?" She added as I smile. "Yeah, she can go to China and get Coronavirus for all I care, oh wait, I don't. So, I don't care if she died anyway." I said as we both laugh.
Katie Hargreeves, you are nothing but a piece of bullshit! I grab the Mp3 player and my earphones to continue to listen to the audio file. "I love how we both need each other, Mila. It's like I'm incomplete without you, and it's true because you're my other half." Bullshit, I'm not her other half. "But then when you deactivated on Twitter, I cried while listening to our playlist. The one I made." I grab my phone and open Spotify as I go to the playlist she made, I only put one song in there.
"Especially Shower by Becky G, because if you listen to the song carefully, you'll understand it but you probably won't listen to it." I continue to eat my lunch. "So what did you do? Why do you have this? Did you do the right thing? How did you kill me? Well, Alexa, you could've done something simple than judge, call me names, put me in a gc with your friend so she could tell me to go to China and get Coronavirus and then die, and not understand the situations that I had." I gave her one too many chances, and it's over, I stop eating as I clench my hands and close my eyes.
"I'm pretty sure Alexa Mendoza doesn't do that to her Katie, right? I mean, Alexa only shut her out when she doesn't want her to involve or put into trouble." I imagine Alexa and Katie.. like me and her.
"It doesn't matter if I get involved, as long as I know you're safe and sound. I said that and now you're not 'cause if these get released you're going down, Mila. Like how you did to me." I open my eyes and look at Alazae. "We gotta stop whoever sent this to me," I said as Alazae finishes her coke and look at me confused.
"You know it's Katie, right? So stop her." She said as I shake my head 'no'. "Katie said from the beginning, someone that she trust have these second set-" "Hold the fuck on, the second set?! YOU mean to tell me there's another set of these shit out there?!" She shockingly said, "Surprise!" I sarcastically said as I sigh.
"Katie has a lot of trusted individuals that I know, but I don't know which one." "Why don't you go to Twitter and ask some of your followers?" She said
Emylie knows? No, she's on our side. Xia? "I think I know, but I'm not so sure if that person will answer me."
I went to Twitter and look for Xia's account, she doesn't use it anymore, or maybe she does. I hope she does.
I dmed her saying:
Mila:
Xia, hey,
I know you're probably
shocked why I'm dming
you right now,
but it's important.
Is Katie still alive?
I'm debating to send it or not, but I did anyway. I remember how we did our research on Katie whenever she makes new accounts, everytime she follows us on Twitter, we already know it's her.
We all know her favorites, how she types, and what emojis she uses. It's like we're FBI but on Twitter, she can't even make new accounts now because we know everything about her. She can fool everyone but us, we can just expose her everytime she comes back to Twitter.
I look up to see Katie in front of me, "Everyone knows I'm depressed, but you and the girls think I'm not. Look what happened, Mila. Exposing a depressed girl who needs your help." She said. "You're not dead, bitch!" I yelled as I blink and Alazae's now in front of me. "Of course, I'm not dead. I'm right here, Mila." Alazae said, I put my hand on my forehead and close my eyes as I sigh.
What the fuck is happening?! I swear I saw Katie. "Don't tell me, you think I'm Katie, Mila." I open my eyes and look at her, "I'm- I just- I don't know." I put down my phone on the table and play the Mp3 player.
"Don't worry, this is not me telling everything in one audio file, Mila. I added a rule for you. If you ever try to expose me by this, you better kiss your reputation on Twitter goodbye and I'm gonna say this again, do NOT take me for granted. Not again..."
I stop the player and look at my phone, Xia dmed me back. She replied:
Xia:
Why?
So you can tell her
that she's a fucking bitch?
That you wish she has the Coronavirus?
Tell me, Mila!
My bestfriend is fucking dead!
MY FUCKING BESTFRIEND!
ALL BECAUSE OF YOU
AND YOUR SELFISH GROUP OF FRIENDS!
I sigh and close my phone, "Xia's so annoying. I just want to know if Katie's alive or not! And she just- She went all out on me." I said as I pack my lunch, "Xia's kinda sus, you know?" Alazae said but then I remember what Ruby said, "What if Katie's dead?" I shake my head as I stand up, grab my stuff, and leave the cafeteria.
