Chapter 30: Ready for Haki?

The wax javelins are so dense they block out the sun. The only open space is a small circle around Sol and Byojack next to him.

World looks at the falling javelins and scoffs. Casually, he picks up a hand full of sand and begins throwing it towards the sky. "More More! Twenty Times Size!"

A cloud of sand is thrown from his hand, but in an instant, the sand turns into a dense cloud of basketball-sized stones.

The stones and the spears collide in the sky, bouncing and deflecting each other.

"I'm going to turn you basterds into my personal stress ball!" World yells before charging forward again.

"My brother is actually a good person. He's just a little stressed, he's never lost a fight since he was a child." Byojack looks up at Sol, a bit of panic can be heard in her voice; Worried that Sol will get tired of her brother's antics.

"Don't worry, this beating is good for them. It's also good for World to vent. He lost to me in every possible way, making him lose his confidence." Sol shakes his head and sighs.

"It's hard for one to live without a goal, that kind of life is empty. Nothing more than waiting for death." Sol turns towards Byojack.

"More importantly, we need to talk about your name. Byojack doesn't work for a girl, how about Jane."

"What!" Byojack hops in surprise. "What does my name have to do with anything, besides." He points towards the guys being blasted back by World. "They also have feminine sounding names."

Sol makes sure Byojack is serious before answering. "That's because they're originally women. One day they'll be women again."

"Then I can be a man again someday?!?" Byojack's big eyes grow even larger in expectation.

"No." Sol's simple response shatters the look of hope on her face. "You aren't even a good fighter, so be a good mascot. A grown man child sitting on World's shoulder looks disgusting."

Byojack's body seems to shatter as she drops to her knees in shock. "Disgusting?" The word constantly repeats from her mouth as she loses all hope of becoming a man again.

Sol ignores the newly minted Jane. Seeing the guys being beaten down, healed by the demons, and beaten down again; He turns his attention to the demons searching the island.

The island isn't very big, only 20km across. The demons are searching every inch, picking any interesting-looking plants that they can find, and slaughtering strong beasts for food.

For three days they fought, only stopping briefly for barbecue. The beach and nearby forest are filled with holes, gorges, wax, mud, and shredded paper.

Maybe to celebrate the start of the journey, or the proximity of the island to Upside Down Mountain, he actually found a devil fruit.

A dark-gray pear-shaped fruit with a scale-like texture. From looking at it, he assumed it was some kind of reptilian zoan.

Before leaving the island, Themyscira surfaced. All the plants, meat, and devil fruit were transported aboard. On the side of the ship is a hatch leading to the 11th and bottom residential deck.

While the caretakers were loading the supplies, Sol visited the babies onboard. They're only a few months old and their faces are full of smiles. It's too soon to judge their full potential, but their genes are the best.

While waiting, he reorganized the groups. Putting the babies with the strongest aura together.

When everything was done he got back on the paper boat. Setting off towards the next island.

Sol sits in his chair made of paper. His demon next to him looks at the guys training vigorously on the boat, trying to squeeze every moment to surpass World. None of them even got to enjoy the sexual release with the Desire Demon after jerking it for a year.

After being beaten down by World repeatedly, their confidence has been smashed.

None of them could even survive a hit, even dodging was impossible. The hardest hit is actually Vivian. This is his first time feeling so helpless since eating the swamp fruit.

His attacks were slow and the binding and absorption were useless against World.

Even World can feel a bit of improvement as Sol's growth hormones pump through his body.

World looks at their training and scoffs. All he has to do is eat to get stronger.

Not long after leaving the island, a few ships have entered his immense range. Few are on a direct path towards them and none have been worth going out of their way to meet.

The ships they did see were merchant ships that avoided them like the plague, but this time the ship has a crew of a hundred people. Those on board are stronger than normal people, two of them well above the rest.

"Is it the Navy?" Sol sits up with interest. World already has a bounty of 67 million. He, as the Captain, has nothing.

This is the perfect moment to start spreading his fame.

He can't have Jasmine and the others being seen, otherwise, that will reveal his abilities when they turn back to women. Their devil fruits and swords are too easy to identify. Revealing how his abilities work is the last thing he wants to do.

Lying back in his seat once more, he ponders how he wants to do this. The ship is far away and he has plenty of time to think. When he attacked the marine base before, no one but Sengoku saw him. Without a name or picture, no wanted poster can be made.

So, not only does he have to strike fear into their hearts, he has to let them live; At least enough for them to report about him.

Suddenly, an idea pops into his head. His first life he was a killer and this life he's a mass rapist. By every standard, he's already a villain. Even if his conscience is clear, that can't change the way people see him. If that's the case, then let's mimic the most successful villains he knows.

"Nora, create an army of paper men who look like random pirates." After thinking his whole plane through, he turns towards Nora.

"Paper men?" Nora looks confused, but makes them anyway. The deck begins folding and men rise from the deck.

Everyone stops their training as the deck becomes crowded. Eileen scans the sea but sees nothing. "Are their enemies Captain?"

"It must be out of our visual range." Jasmine shakes his head.

"What?" Jasmine's words cause World's ears to perk up. Placing the boar leg down, he looks at everyone preparing like they're going to meet someone.

"Captain!" Vivian rushes to Sol. "Let me fight this time! Whoever it is will crumble under my fist."

Sol turns to Vivian, sensing his eagerness to redeem himself. To prove that he's still strong. Even though World never hurt him, the helplessness was even greater because of it.

"Don't worry." Sol ruffles his hair with a slight smile. "The swamp fruit isn't great, I already knew that, But I already have a solution to your problem."

"Really?" Vivian's eyes light up for a moment before his face falls again. "You're not just saying that to comfort me right?"

"Yes, just build up strength for now. Wait until we arrive in the Grand Line." Patting his shoulder, he turns towards the others.

"We're coming up on a Navy ship. You guys can't be seen for now, at least not how you currently are. For now, hide in the paper men."

"Can you change us back master, we don't want to sit back and watch you fight." Jasmine glances at everyone's uncomfortable faces before turning to Sol.

"Are you going to give up when you're so close to your goal?" Sol turns towards Jasmine.

Even without eyes, it feels like he's peering into his soul. Jasmine's head drops, not daring to look Sol in the face.

"We just want to help." Eileen speaks when he sees this, agreeing with what Jasmine said.

"Help?" Sol turns towards Eileen, sending shivers down his spine.

"Interesting, is their willpower increasing?" Sol mumbles to himself. They never could have questioned his orders before. Suddenly an idea pops into his head, maybe they've reached the threshold of learning haki.

Deciding to confirm it later, he slowly shakes his head and withdraws his momentum. "Just wait, your bodies are almost full of lean muscles. It won't be long now."

World looks at this mini-drama and frowns. Not because he finds it stupid, but he doesn't know why it's happening. No matter where he looks or how hard he squints his eyes he sees nothing.

"I don't even see any ships, what are you all getting on about?" Unable to figure it out, he turns towards Nora who's closest to him.

"Didn't you hear? A ship is coming and the Captain wants us to sit back." Nora looks at World in confusion, wondering if this big man is stupid.

"No, I don't even see any ships. Why is everyone getting so dramatic." His finger sweeps the horizon.

Nora looks at World like he's a fool. His eyes go wide and his mouth drops open. "Are you a moron? You've been with us for a few days and you still don't even know why you lost your fight?" Nora's gaze is full of pity, wondering how he made it this far.

World doesn't even know what to say, he hasn't really spoken to anyone besides Jane.

Turning towards Sol, he grits his teeth for a moment before walking over.
