Chapter 2: 2nd Chapter: Fever
° Cassandra's POV °
It was in the middle of summer when everyone was so worked up, not because it was hot but because they can finally take a break. A one week break was enough to clear and freshen everyone's mind. The school had conducted a summer break for everyone, so everyone was fired up upon hearing they could take one week break.
Lily or Lilyan and I was walking to an hallway, chatting at our voices could be heard in the entire hall. Unexpectedly, someone came out of nowhere and patted our heads making me stunned. We both turned to look at the man who patted us and stood their with dumbfounded and stunned faces.
"K- kendrick?!" both I and Lilyan called out in surprise as we glanced at the 175 cm tall man with dark hair and masculine body. When he saw our unexpected reactions, he grinned over and ruffled our hair in a mess.
"Hey! Stop it! Your getting my hair messy" told Lily at Kendrick with a exasperated face.
"Oh is that so? I thought Ninty Minty wouldn't get annoyed to his wonderful bestfriend " Kendrick grimaced, glancing at Lily with a teasing smile.
"Whose Ninty Minty! You messed up my hair! Your the one with such a Pumpkin head!" replied Lily pouting as she slapped his hands away on her head. They continued to argue as I was left alone, giggling to how the both of them interact.
Kendrick was Lily's bestfriend since childhood, they are very close and he threats her like his younger sister. He sometimes do sibling things that made others misunderstand him as Lily's boyfriend...
"Alright, I'm going" I uttered before walking away, leaving the both of them to continue there talk..It was awkward for me to listen on such a thing, considering that I am there most cunning friend. I could hear their voices even if I was already far from them, yelling and shouting at once.
As I proceeded to walk, I heard a screeching noise coming from one of the room as it grew louder when I approached it. I scanned the places and there was no other person, so I thought it must be a cat or a dog inside being locked. As I slowly opened the door of class E5, something suddenly pooped out as I was taken a back. It jumped in my arms as I closed my eyes, trembling in fear in what had climbed on me. Almost minutes later, I slowly opened my eyes on the view and saw a cute little cat clinging on me.
"Sigh~ Just a cute cat" I said sighing, taking the cat away from and put it on the ground. I was glad it wasn't something scary, or if yes, I would rather jump off the roof rather than die in a heart attack. As I averted my gaze on the small kitten, I felt it that it was scared. The little cat was trembling greatly that it went on my back to hide. I could feel it's unstablenes as I peered to look at the cat, it was really afraid that it hid behind me for security.
' I wonder what made it scared' I muttured in my thought as I took a glance at the door. The little guy was frightened that its hair was standing on it's back. I took a peer on the door as I pushed it, enough for me to see what was inside.
There I saw a man standing, facing the door in front of us which made me took a step back. It's ruby eyes were like spears ready to slice you, his hair was curled up as it flows down to his lips. His breathing was heavy that even I could hear it, his hands were trembling as his body was so hardened enough to send some chills in my spine.
My mind flashed a warnings as it tells me to run, but my body just couldn't. I stood there trembling as I clenched my fist in my chest. The man slowly walked towards me with a killing gaze, slowly piercing my everything. Then I blacked out...

I woke up in a foreign bed, rubbing my eyes as I slowly got up from bed. My back, head, legs, and my whole body was aching that It made me slumped back. I forced my self to get up but none did work, my body was so weak that I couldn't even move my body. It was so quiet which made it somehow boring, my eyes were all sleepy and my body seems to be tired. I wonder why?
"Lita!" I shouted in the quite room, calling the head maid who take care of me when I was ill or sick. But, I heard no response. "Lita! Linda!" I called out again with all my might, but hearing no sound of footsteps or even a response made me frustrated. 'My body is all weak and I'm feeling sick, yet nobody answers my calls' I thought as I clenched my fist, biting my lips.
"Someone! Please... " I called once more as tears filled up into my eyes, it was my first time in my whole life to not be taken care when I had a bad feeling. It was really frustrating and burdensome. My cheeks hoten as I cried, feeling the burning and hot breath.
"M-mom... D-dad..." I uttered as the fever risen up in my body, almost eating me up. Once I had cried enough, I fall asleep laying on the ground next to my bed.
...
As I squinted my eyes on the lights, I could feel the warmth and security inside of me. Just moments ago, I was so worried and feeling sick that nobody came to help me. But just smelling the fabric and smoothing scent made me feel better. I slowly got up and walked out of my room, heading towards the corridors.
I sluggishly walked on the stairs, feeling the sweet scent lingers around. When I was almost in the floor, I suddenly felt a cold Icy aura coming from the living room which made my senses sober up. I glanced at the side of the living room and saw a man standing beside the wall, his hands was clasping on his back as he scanned the paintings that was hanging.
"Milady, your fever haven't gone down. Please go back to your bed and rest, we will send your breakfast soon. So please" Lita said woriedly as she came towards and laid her hands on my forehead, she took a step and held me on the hands as the boiling fever inside me calmed a bit.
"No, no please. I feel fine now, but why do we have guests this early?" I said to Lita before glancing into the man in the living room.
