Xiao Che was sitting on his bed wearing some very both rich looking and good looking red robes with bit of white stripes here and there. He had worn black jeans which he before didn't knew existed in ATGverse. But he was damn thankful that jeans exists. Because he doesn't want to wear wear those pitiful loose pants his grandpa wears. Those aren't loose pants, they look like loincloth with extensive fabric. The 'jeans' aren't actually named jeans, the public in ATG-verse treats them more as another kind of pants. They just call it 'tight pants'.
Xiao Che initially wanted to cut off his ponytail but after reading the ancient chinese cultural traditions, he got to know that cutting one's ponytail off meant either slavery or treachery or disrespect to one's parent etc. So, He didn't cut off his ponytail but he did shortened it. Instead of his hair reaching waist like the original Yun Che in story, His hair reached till the middle of his back.
Besides Xiao Che was, his grandpa, Xiao Lie. He was smiling at his grandson as he ordered all the servants out of the room. "Che'er, You look nice. Remember, this is a very special day to you." Xiao Lie smiled proudly at his grandson as he patted away the wrinkles on Xiao Che's robes. Then he raised a question.
"But how would break the fact that you can cultivate to your would-be wife? After all, Xia Qingyue is not only a great beauty but she is very talented in terms of cultivation." Xiao Lie asked stroking his beard.
Xiao Che resisted the urge to smirk as he cheekily said. "Don't worry grandpa. I will make sure that she FEELS my cultivation very well."
Xiao Lie slapped Xiao Che's shoulder lightly as he sternly joked. "I know you have grown up. But watch your mouth around me, young man. I believe I haven't raised a pervert."
Outwardly, Xiao Che just chuckled. But inwardly he shrugged. Xiao Lie had taken his words as a sexual innuendo but it actually was a double entendre. What Xiao Che really meant was, He will release his cultivation pressure on Xia Qingyue in not a good way.
While the grandpa and grandson were laughing, A knock comes on the door. After a short "Come in." from Xiao Che. Xiao Lingxi entered the room.
The raven head was looking beautiful as always. She was wearing some light green robes which made her look more beautiful. She also entered the room with a bowl of meat porridge in hand.
"Little Che, I have brought some meat porridge for you. You may get hungry as there is still some hours before the wedding. So better if you eat it now." Xiao Lingxi excitedly but lovingly said. Her face was one of happiness and excitement.
But Xiao Che could clearly see it. She was hiding her sadness and jealousy within herself. Her facial expression might be of pure excitement but her eyes shone with longing.
It hurt him seeing her suffer so silently. In this long years, he has truly come to love this cute and loveable raven head. He would comfort her later because now he wanted to direct his full attention towards shattering an ice cold heart.
Xiao Lie seeing the meat porridge in his daughter's hand also said to Xiao Che. "Yes, Che'er. You should eat the meat porridge that Xi'er brought. I know that you wouldn't need it but still should eat it. It would bring you some extra nutritions."
Xiao Che just nodded solemnly towards his grandpa as he took the bowl of meat porridge from Xiao Lingxi's hand smilingly. Taking the bowl in his hand, He patted Lingxi's head with another hand as he thanked her. "Thanks for the meal, Little Aunt."
Xiao Lingxi pouted with tears gathering at the corner of her eyes as she complained to Xiao Lie. "Father see, Little Che is again treating me like a child." Even though she complained, she didn't even bother to try and remove his hand from on top of her head.
After her complaining, Both Xiao Lie and Xiao Che looked at each other. They kept staring at each other for three seconds then both simultaneously laughed out loud. Meanwhile Xiao Lingxi pouted harder with embarrassed blush on her face this time.
Seconds later, Xiao Che stopped his laughter as he gently stroked Lingxi's hair, getting her attention. He smiled warmly at her causing her to blush. "I am sorry, Little Aunt." Xiao Lingxi beamed at him, smiling back beautifully, she said blushing but with wide and happy smile. "Its okay."
Meanwhile seeing this from the sidelines, Xiao Lie smiled warmly at the wholesome scene. He smiled at the kids who seeming loved each other. He, himself understood that they both loved each other immensely. But the not so old man, mistook this wholesome love for a familial type.
Silently bidding Xiao Che goodbye for now and reminding Che that he would back in awhile , Xiao Lie left the room. Taking his hand back from Lingxi who already started missing the warmth of his hand, Xiao Che sat down on his bed with the bowl of meat porridge in his hands.
Now, Xiao Che knows that this bowl of meat porridge had the 'Murdering Heart Powder' in it. Being a Medical Saint, He was a Poison Master as well. He knew the slight sour smell of poison coming from the meat porridge. And he is not messing the sour smell with the generic smell of meat porridge.
Being an orphan in his last life, he had learned to cook for himself. For many years, he had to cook for himself thus he got better and better at cooking with time. And after transmigrating as Xiao Che, he had successfully managed replicate many dishes from his past life. All in one, He was a very chef indeed. So, by default he knows what smell should come out of meat porridge.
The sour smell of poison very nicely mixed with the smell meat and rice. But for a efficient cook and a poison master as Xiao Che, It was relatively easy for him to know that the food was poisoned.
Now, The question remains, Will he eat it though? Yes, He will regardlessly.
After all, There is no way this Xiao Che can be poisoned. His physiques has their own counter measures that will stop the poison from effecting his system. Then the rich and dense profound energy in his profound veins can also nullify the poison. Then unlike the original Xiao Che, he has his Sky Poison Pearl activated. It can easily nullify the 'Murdering Heart Powder' poison. Last but not the least, He has his back up in the Omniversal God as Orion. Xiao Che isn't dying anytime soon.
Without a care in the world, he started eating the meat porridge. He liked the taste but it was a little salty. Probably because it was in Xiao Yulong's hands. After all, The guy is salty from head to toe.
"Little Aunt, Didn't you at first said that you cooked rice pudding for me? Then why bring meat porridge all on a sudden." He asked Xiao Lingxi who seeing him eat with a smile on her face, just like an obedient wife.
Putting her finger on her cheek cutesy, Xiao Lingxi answered. "I was at first going to bring you the rice pudding I made. But then Big Brother Yulong said that I should give you this meat porridge as it would give you necessary proteins for the wedding. And he is also the one who gave me this bowl to bring it to you."
Xiao Che was right all along. He knew from the story that Xiao Yulong would try this. But they don't know that he has his means as well.
Xiao Yulong was the son of clan master Xiao Yunhai. Outwardly, He possessed many good qualities but he had never been arrogant. He was someone who was kind and polite to everyone. Even towards Xiao Che, who was considered to be disabled in everyone's eyes, had never mocked Xiao Che but instead was as gentle as he was polite. Not only that, he frequently expressed signs of concern when faced with Xiao Che's damaged profound vein problem.
Inwardly, he was an scheming and malicious person who succumbs to his greed and wants to have all the good things for himself, considering others not worthy of them. His father, Xiao Yunhai was also the same.
Xiao Yunhai, The Xiao Clan master was a very greedy person. He is one of the big reasons Xiao Che wanted Xiao Lie and Xiao Lingxi to hide their real cultivation levels. If he had known about their real cultivation level then he would do anything to use them. He would even try to learn their secrets too.
That would lead that revealing that both Xiao Lingxi and Xiao Lie had Heavenly God Spiritual Veins. And from that would lead to Xiao Che. Earlier, Xiao Che couldn't risk it but now he himself plans to reveal some card from his deck.
And when Xiao Che's card fall to the deck, they would make quite the noise and attraction!
