Chapter 2: Other Half
"Other half?" Kei asked, confused as he looked around while still hiding body.
Suddenly he felt a strong gripped on his shoulder he turn around fast but,not fast enough in second his sword was thrown out of cave as he stare down on petite form of a lady with silky long hair and pale white skin her dress was everywhere it's hard to define her body shape as she was drowning in her dress.
"who are you?" the king asked, standing in the woman cave with a defenseless hand.
"Such a dark soul" witch spat with disgust clear on her face she turned around back facing the king "cruel lord have to torment the poor soul "as she said that the cave suddenly was lit as if the sun came out in a starless night.
She turned around again, this time her hands forward wet in blue color liquid as she touched the hand of kei. Kei being confused from the very beginning stares with curiosity mixed with anger as he never gets disrespected. The long haired woman kept her hand on his hand slowly her expression started to grow grim with her hold on his hand grew tighter. Kei looked at women with questionable gaze as a blood red tear escaped her left eyes sliding down her pale white face and landed on their joint hand. The startled witch removed her hands from Kings Hand like it got hell burned as she gasped for air. She turned again both of her eyes open and pure white color reflected the light it's only then the king noticed the disability of the woman. She moved closer to the king feeling his shoulder
"I - I-I saw your fate with your other half" she said, this caught the interest of the king
"who is she?" she shook her head "pure, the most pure soul in a human ev-" she said as she removed her left hand from his shoulder.
"HUMAN!" the king snarled at her petite form then he snickered "I knew you are a fraud" he said with an evil gaze on the woman.
She flinched from feeling such a violent gaze "stop, you sinner "she said "I knew who you are" she said as her milk eyes slowly started to turn blood red color from the strong gaze by blind women making kei change his own pupils involuntarily .
He looked at her shocked "you will destroy that poor soul you are not worth it!" she said as she shook her head violently, tears streaming down her face.
King running out of patience asked "where is my other half? How can I know? Who is she? "As he asked her she stepped back and moved away from him.
"you shall not find. You are too dark for that soul. Why did God bind such a devil with an angel? WHY!?" she shouted in the end she closed her eyes by which the light in the cave started to turn back to pitch black.
Knowing he won't find out much the King turned around and walked out of the cave and started to race his horse toward the palace with only one thought in his mind: ''Who is my other half? And, how is she human? "
°NEXT DAY°

Callus reached the Royal Palace. He was very nervous even after the long time period working for the concubines. He sat down next to his koto and waited. Soon he saw many royal concubines entering the lotus Hall. As the most of the concubine enter he starts to hear their gossips
"Did you hear about the King, how he...."
"Yes! I heard by a guard that his highness was furious"
"He even beat two soldiers near death"
"Who saved them then?"
"How do I know? What do you take me for?"
"Gossiping bitch"
"Yah! You insolent-"
Callus looks down disturbed by their way of speech and tomorrow's events. He remembers that his cabin was the closest one from where King goes ballistic on soldiers, but he doesn't remember hearing any sound of fighting.
"Music may start" the minister ordered as the food started to serve. Callus looks at the food he didn't eat for a proper meal for so long his whole body is weak and light due to weight loss makes him look like a teenager at the age of 22. Taking a deep breath he closes his eyes because of his social anxiety he is unable to show his art to others without assuming he is alone. He played his instrument and became one with tune.
He always found home in the music, he created beautiful melodies by the feather like touch of his long thin finger on string which in return reddened the artist's tips, but he was ignorant toward pain as well as the fact that other instruments are no longer accompanying melodies of his koto. Callus was entirely in another dimension unaware of the light wind blowing his hair which shades on his angelic face, pin drop silence of the hall other than heartfelt melody created by him neither the stares of the concubine and minister nor the thoughts of anything. Callus was lost in his world with a slight smile on his lips. After a few minutes of utter bliss he opened his eyes and, to his utter shock he came face to face with a man with utterly beautiful black eyes staring at his Hazel sapphire. The royal attire on the strong muscular 6'9 frame intimate 5'2 musician to no end. To avoid the man he looked around only to be surprised by the position of everyone in the hall. All the concubines and ministers are on their knees bending their back with hand forward and head down some peeking to look what is happening, shocked he looks behind only to find all other musicians in the same position. Then it hit him that the utterly powerful seeming man in front of him is the King.
He kneeled in front of him rather quickly while muttering
" f-f-for-forgive t-th-this h-humble s-s-ser-servant m-my l-lord "he was trembling under the strong gaze of the ruler when he felt hand on his chin raising his face up to meet the dark stare of the King. Callus felt his breath stuck as he stared at the dangerous beauty in front of him, the feel of hand was rough but the touch was gentle, almost making the musician melt.
"You were the one from yesterday," King said with his voice in a raspy whisper that sent an unwanted shiver down the spine of Callus as he stared at the eyes of a ruthless ruler helplessly not knowing his fate .
