Chapter 43: Royal Demon Body Art
Inside the Darian Mountain Range which is known as the largest and most dangerous mountain in the Sulfur Continent , a youth is currently battling with a peak Level 3 Flame Wolf beast .
The wolf is more than five meters tall and its fur is tougher than Level 1 weapons . On top of that , it can use flame element very easily and possesses innate skill called Flame Hurricane . All in all it was one of the most powerful Level 3 beasts but currently its fur was filled with cuts and stained in red with it's own blood .
It was looking at the human youth infront of him with clear fear in its eyes . The youth suddenly appeared and reduced it to this state with just one skill . Of course it would feel scared . In fact the dignified wolf wanted to run but cannot as it can feel that it's pointless.
" Ahem.. I dont have to kill you either . Just tell me the location of the empty cultivator den and I promise to leave you alive . " the youth is Raven who has been practicing on this mountain for more than two months now .
He heard from some disciples belonging to nearby sect that there was a cultivator's den discoverd by someone here . Raven also became interested because he may be able to find some good treasures there . So he has practically searched the whole small mountain and now only the domain of this wolf beast is left .
" Human , are you telling the truth ? " the wolf could actually talk and its voice was heavy.
Raven is not surprised though as he has already known that beasts from Level 3 can talk and Level 5 beasts can actually break the shackles of their bodies and transform into human form .
" Yes I'm telling the truth and please dont try to test my patience because I dont have much of it anyway .. " Raven smiled but the wolf became more and more scared as to him the harmless smile resembled that of devil's.
" Follow me ! " Raven immediately started following behind the wolf as it started heading towards the core region of the mountain.
Soon they passed through some kind of illusion barrier and a small golden palace greeted Raven .
Raven finally understood why he could not find anything with his Divine Sense before . The illusion Formation was simply set up by much higher level cultivator and had the ability to block his Divine Sense .
" Thank you , you can back now .. " Raven indifferently said and the wolf immediately ran outside with full speed.
The palace was not guarded by another formations so Raven easily entered inside it. He could only see a weird skeleton lying ahead of him and nothing else .
The skeleton was weird because it looked like human but had one thick horn on top of the white skull . The tattered black robes also had strange demon pattern which Raven could recognize because he had read the data before.
Raven was disappointed because he had hoped to encounter some good techniques but demon techniques were difficult for humans to practice according to the books .
The skeleton was wearing a similar black dragon ring like that which Raven had gotten from Zhou in Silverwind city . 'That ring must belong to demons then '
Raven thought felt glad that he did not chose to sell that ring for some profit . If he had done so then maybe Raven would be granted the title of a traitor as demons were enemies of human race. Raven decided to carefully inquire about that cloak because he only used system to scan it and knows that it can hide one's appearance from even peak Earth level cultivators.
Raven used his Divine sense to check for any trap formations and did not find any . So he quickly took off the ring from the skeleton's finger and checked the contents .
Inside were a few mid grade spirit stones and one thick book . Raven became delighted because these hundreds of mid grade stones were equivalent to millions of low grade ones in value . His trip here was worth it with just finding so much wealth .
Still he decided to check that book too because he has the knowledge of basic demon language from Ancestor's inheritance and who knows maybe he will find some good technique anyway ..
ROYAL DEMON BODY ART
Raven could read the contents and was surprised because this was actually equivalent to Heaven rank technique of humans. Demons used hell energy to temper their bodies and only a few of them can practice spirit cultivation like humans .
This body art was actually from the royal family of demons ! Raven was now extremely curious about the identity of this demon who actually carried such a precious art on him . He quickly gave up the thought though because it was would be a waste of time .
Raven immediately decided to go back to the Sect and ponder with the Sect master that can they modify this technique so that it can be cultivated by humans. Humans cannot absorb hell energy because their constitution is not suited with it . Some Devil sects transform their constitutions using pills and other methods to cultivate unique energies like the hell energy and corpse energy . But these cultivators were mostly evil and had their minds corrupted by their energy . So it was necessary to carefully study this Art before deciding and Raven was not against to share it with others either .
