Chapter 40: First day
Orochimaru saw that from 16 people, only he rejected the invitation of working in a team while the other 15 people formed 5 groups of 3 peoples each.
Orochimaru knew that it was because Konoha promotes teamwork that there were so many people making teams.
If someone asked to make a team in kirigakure in this situation 15 out of 16 would not form a team and leave to do it on their own.
As for the remaining 1, of course, the person would have been killed for even asking such a stupid question.
After that, all people left in their ways. Orochimaru walked toward the nearest village. Although he wanted to start hunting the dangerous beast, he is not in his optimum condition after long travel without rest.

When the receptionist saw Orochimaru he asked Orochimaru politely "Welcome to gesuto inn sir, do you need anything"
"I wanted to book a room for one week," Orochimaru said in a rough voice.
"Right away sir, can you tell me your name and village," Said the receptionist while writing the information and entry time of Orochimaru.
Orochimaru is already used to it and said about his fake identity. Depositing security fees he finally entered the room.
The room was quite simple with minimum required furniture. Without thinking much Orochimaru crashed in bed and slept soundly.

Examiner POV
I met all the anbu members supervising this exam in an already decided venue.
Arriving I met all the anbu members numbering about 4 people. It looks like others have already followed the candidates.
"Was there any anomaly?" I asked them.
"No Captain," Said the anbu members.
"Report the performance of the candidates"I ordered them.
After hearing the report I came to know that the candidate with white hair, named Orochimaru was exceptional in the exam.
"Has the other team already trailing candidates for their safety?" I asked to make sure.
After all, they are all good seeds, and even if they do not pass the exam they had to be protected.
"Yes, sir" Was the answer to his inquiry.

When Orochimaru woke up from sleep it was already 6'o clock in the afternoon means he slept for 6 hours.
After some lunch, Orochimaru roamed around the village to gather information. Although in a normal talk he was not able to find anything which indicates the sighting of a dangerous beast till the sunset.
He walked into izakaya for some more information. After all, in places like an izakaya people mumbles most of the things in drunkenness.
Orochimaru entered izakaya at 8:30 and sat in one of the seats.
"What will you have sir," said the waiter to Orochimaru.
Orochimaru just indicated the snacks. Although the waiter was confused about why Orochimaru did not order a drink he still completed the order.
After the waiter came back with snacks he saw that Orochimaru was already drinking something.
The waiter did not say anything upon Orochimaru bringing his drink but kept the food and went away.
Orochimaru didn't order any drink not because was he was not at age of drinking as actually, he was never the one to abide by the rule.
But he is already used to drinking the drink made by himself.
What he was drinking was brewed by himself.
It's made by a combination of wolfsbane, Botulinum, and cyanide in different concentrations.
If someone would hear the combination of the brewed drink, maybe he would never even come close to the drink in Orochimaru's hands. Because this beautifully brewed drink is made by a combination of lethal poisons.
Yes, Poison! After he got poison blood talent he has always drunk poisons to increase the lethality of his blood.
