Chapter 3: Chapter 2 - Camp Half-Blood

That night when the fight with the bull had occurred, the silver haired boy had brought both Percy and Grover to the farmhouse.

Greeting them at the farmhouse was an old man sitting on a wheel chair and a girl with blonde hair curled like Cinderella's, with ashen colored pupils.

The boy observed their faces as he calmly brought the two towards them.

'Chiron and.....Annabeth' he concluded the identity of the two figures that waited.

Chiron was startled to see an unfamiliar boy carrying the unconscious Percy and Grover over, but he remained calm outside.

Soon, the boy had arrived in front of the wooden porch and spoke as he looked Chiron in the eye.

"They need rest" He said, clearly referring to Percy and Grover.

Chiron remained silent for a few seconds before his lips parted to speak.

"Who...…..are you?" he asked of the unknown boy.

'You should really worry about these two first' the boy complained in his heart but he dared not to say it out loud.

He pondered for a bit before finally answering.

"Ark, my name is Ark" he said, It was the name he had used in many games that he had played.

"Ark, bring them over" Chiron said as he gestured for the boy to come in.

The boy, Ark entered the wooden porch then straight to the farmhouse before bringing the two to a room that seemed to be a bedroom. By the side, Annabeth mumbled "One of them must be the one...".

After letting the two lay on the bed he got out of the room, meeting the scrutinizing gaze of Chiron as he exited, Annabeth went to get a towel and some water as per Chiron's request.

Ark gazed back at Chiron with his ruby-like crimson eyes, the dragon eyes had been deactivated long before arrival.

"Stay here for the night, tomorrow Annabeth will lead you to a cabin" Chiron said as he turned around and exited the house.

Ark stood silent for a while before taking a seat and started thinking about his situation.

'I remember falling asleep while playing, then when I woke up I was falling from the sky, no matter how you thing about it I must be dreaming, right now'

His thoughts kept running and arrived to a conclusion, he tried pinching his arm, slapping his face, and other more things but he only felt slight pain and didn't wake up as he expected.

'There isn't enough pain' he thought.

Just as he was caught up in thinking, a figure appeared in front of him, observing what he was doing.

It was Annabeth squatting with a basin of water and a clean towel beside her, she was sneering as though she was looking at an idiot.

"Since when have you been there" Ark asked with a straight face as though he didn't do what he did earlier.

"Since you started pinching and slapping your face like an idiot" she replied with a mocking tone as she got up picking up the basin and entering the room where Percy and Grover were sleeping.

Ark did not mind it as he continued running his thoughts.

'If I'm in a dream then I'll wake up sooner or later without doing anything, guess I'll enjoy it for a bit'

He closed his eyes and felt the items that were with him.

After a while, he had discovered the items that remained and the items that were gone.

He still had his two dragon bone weapons which is the halberd, and bow, as well as the rest of his baubles besides the dragon's eye, but he knew that he could use it without any problem.

Ark was not a very practical gamer and had picked his weapon based on his preferences, not to mention he also liked to role play so he had no shield, equipping one with the halberd also slows his attack.

Looking at the stuffs that he had lost, there were a lot of important stuffs such as his full set of dragon armor, the dragon materials which were the dragon skull, scales, bones, flesh, heart, blood, as well as the egg that he had gotten, most importantly, he had lost the dragon horn which contained his stage 5 dragon.

Aside from those, a new item was with him, it was the horn of the Minotaur which Percy had broken off from the Minotaur's head, Ark had picked it up along with his dagger.

Ark opened his eyes and saw Annabeth exit the house.

Having nothing else to do, Ark closed his eyes in order to sleep, expecting to wake up back in front of his computer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning.

Ark found himself in a dilemma which troubled him gravely.

It was because by the time he woke up, he did not find himself back in front of his computer as he was still in the farmhouse where he slept for the night, still seated at a corner.

He was confused and his thoughts started running wild.

'M-Maybe this isn't a dream.....' he thought but shook his head to disperse the idea, telling himself not to jump in to conclusions.

As he was caught up in his thoughts, a voice interjected.

"Wake up already" Annabeth said, causing Ark to snap out of it.

He was quiet for a short time before finally replying.

"I'm wide awake" he replied.

"Didn't seem so" Annabeth said, expressing her doubt.

She stood up and walked towards the door, exiting the farmhouse.

*Clop clop*

Clopping sounds of hooves resounded as a figure appeared at the door, just from a glance one could tell that the figure belong not to a human but a different creature.

The figure stood on four legs with the body of a horse yet above its neck was that of a man's upper body, it was a centaur, it was Chiron who seemed like a crippled old man the night before.

Amidst this revelation, Ark remained calm as he had already figured it out, no other person used a wheelchair within the camp besides Chiron which is a centaur disguised as a cripple, at least that's what Ark knew.

He had in fact only finished the first book and was about to read the second, he had taken a break to play for a bit but was brought to this dream, or perhaps, world, it might have also been the reason as to why he was brought here, that's because he had kept the novel open as he was playing the game.

"I've asked Annabeth to inform cabin eleven, you'll be staying there for the time being" Chiron said.

Ark remained silent, he understood why he was arranged to cabin eleven, seeing Ark's lack of reaction, Chiron continued.

"Follow me" he instructed as he turned his back to start walking to a certain direction.

Ark followed behind Chiron quietly.

Ark remained silent as they came around the opposite end of the house.

What came to his view rendered him speechless, his mouth agape.

Although he had already expected it from reading the story, imagining is different from actually seeing it.

Ancient Greek architectural buildings infested the valley in his sight, an open-air ventilation, an amphitheater, a circular arena, all of them looked clean, the white marble columns glimmering fabulously due to the sunlight. Here and there, kids wearing orange shirts could be seen doing various things, playing volleyball with satyrs in a nearby sandpit. Canoes gliding across a small lake, kids chasing each other around the cabins, some did archery and some did horseback-riding with a bit of peculiarities as some of the horses had wings.

At the end of the porch, outlined was a figure of a man.

The man was short but porky. He had a red nose, big watery eyes and hair that's so black it was almost purple. He was wearing a tiger patterned hawaiian shirt.

Chiron kept walking along with Ark until finally arriving at where the man was located.

"And who's this young man?" came a sudden question from the man towards Chiron.

"Ark" Chiron simply replied, to which the man raised a brow.

The man turned to look at Ark before raising a question.

"Young man, do you know who you are?" he said.

'How would Chiron know if I didn't?' he thought sarcastically, not daring to say his thoughts out loud as he knew that he mustn't offend this person.

"A demi-god" he lied.

It was the only option he could go with, after all, he couldn't say any other else, he did not have the traits of a satyr or a centaur, the nymphs were only women and clearly he wasn't, he couldn't feign ignorance as it would fail to explain how he found the camp, say that he was a god? Which dumbass would believe such an obvious lie?

That being said, stating that he was a demi-god was the most simple solution to go with, no god would claim him as their child but such a situation was normal.

"Do you know who's your parent?" came another question from the man.

Ark knew that the question was referring to whether he knew which god is his parent.

'In fact, no god from the 12 Olympians is my parent, I'm not even a demi-god' he retorted in his heart as he firmly shook his head.

The man simply nodded in reply and turned his back as though he had already gotten what he needed.

Unbeknownst when but Annabeth had appeared from somewhere.

Ark looked at Chiron as though waiting for a cue, to which Chiron replied with a nod.

Annabeth proceeded to walk towards the cabin and Ark followed behind.

Chiron watched the two kids depart before turning to the man who had asked Ark the questions and gave a question of his own towards the man.

"What do you think of him?" he asked yet the man did not answer.

A second passed, then a minute, and after a long period of silence, the man finally spoke.

"He's a promising kid" he said but no words came after, the eerie silence remained.
