The current point in the story is about 7 years before Naruto's birth. Daisuke is 3 years younger than Kakashi who is currently 7.

I had been reincarnated for a week and I am thoroughly disappointed.

I'm not sure what the numbers in parentheses mean but my [INT] went up a little from listening to lectures and studying.
None of my other [STATS] went up as we were only working on theory in the Academy at the moment.
I also practised the katas for my [Basic Kenjutsu] and [Uchiha Intercepting Fist] but other than that nothing changed.
My [Observe] only went up from me spamming it at everyone I saw.
I also found out I had another screen, "[Titles]," I said out loud.

It seems Academy Students are anywhere between Level 1 at the weakest and Level 10 at the strongest, Gennins seem to be anywhere between 10 and 25, and I can't see Chunnin or Jonin leveld.
It turns out that the only reason I had any training before the Academy was because of my sister. My parents seem to be against me training outside the Academy while my sister did her best to teach me.
Which would be fine if I was okay with staying at Level 2.
But I'm not.
I've read enough fanfiction to know that the training grounds will probably be dungeons with chakra mutations.
I need to get on that.
It was for that reason I had convinced my parents to let me stay out for 2 hours after school with a 'friend'.
It was also for that reason that I was on my way to the training grounds.
Apparently training ground 30-40 as well as training ground 44 were filled with chakra mutations.
At least that's what a book from the library said.
As I arrived at training ground 30 a notice popped up.

I chose yes and another notice popped up.

With a gulp I chose yes. The moment I did it felt like I was being squeezed through a tube.
When the sensation stopped I was in a forest.
With a squirrel the size of my 4 year old frame starring at me.
I quickly drew my sword and used [Observe].

I wasted no time in flashing through the 3 Hand Seals required for [Flickering Flame].
I launched 5 flames at the squirrel, using up almost all my [CP]. Only 3 of the 5 baseball sized flames hit the little monster.

Effect: Critical Burning (-5 HP per second)
I may have made a mistake.
I drew my tanto as the squirrel leapt at me with speed far greater than my own.
I tried to dodge only for the bastard to take a large scratch at my arm.
HP: 70/100
Effect: Heavy Bleeding (-5 HP per minute)
As it rushed at me again, this time much slower than before, I managed to slash it across its side.
HP: 20/196
Effect: Severe Burning (-5 HP per second) Heavy Bleeding (-5 HP per minute)
I was momentarily surprised I did so much damage before realizing it was because of the burning I had inflicted.
I watched as it struggled for 4 more seconds before dying.

"[Status]," I said out loud remembering the effect the little bastard inflicted.

It then sunk in that I was dying and would die in 13 minutes if I didn't do something.
"[Inventory]!" I yelled.
I looked through the [Inventory] for the [Seal of Healing].
Seal of Healing - A seal to heal wounds and remove negative Effects.
Costs 10 CP to activate.
Heals Effects below Severe.
Costs 10 CP to activate.
Seal will restore 1 HP for every extra point of CP channeled.
I immediately put the seal on my arm and channeled all 30 of the [CP] I had through the seal.

With a sigh of relief I fell back and debated whether I should continue or turn back.
On one hand I would earn way more EXP just from killing a couple of the little bastarda than I had in a week. On the other if there was 2 or more Squirrels I could see myself getting overwhelmed easily.
It was then I remembered my build. I'm meant to be an assassin.
I looked at all of the trees and sighed. It was so tempting to keep going but I knew I wouldn't last.
So after resolving myself to learn tree walking I said, "[Dungeon Escape]."
Again I felt as though I was squeezed through a tube before arriving back in front of training ground 30.
I made my way to a non dungeon training ground and spent the next two hours falling off of and destroying trees.

I can only hold it for 34 seconds but I would say that the two hours were worth it. As I was walking back home I got an idea and drew my tanto.

I suppose that would explain the numbers in parentheses.
I arrived home as dinner was being set on the table.
"Have fun with your friend, Daisuke?" My father asked looking towards the clock. I was 20 minutes late.
"Yes father. I'm sorry, I lost track of time."
"It's alright, Daisuke," My mother said, "Go get washed up and come eat."
My stomach started growling at the thought of food and my father laughed before ruffling my hair.
I couldn't stop the smile coming to my face as he did even as I grumbled in annoyance.
"Would it be okay if I stayed out tomorrow as well?" I ventured once we were mostly done with dinner.
"I don't see why not," My mother answered, "Just come home on time this time."
"I will."
I found out through reading books, listening to history in class, and eavesdropping on grownup conversations that the Third Shinobi War is yet to break out, though apparently the skirmages with minor countries has already started.
That means I'll probably end up fighting in the war.
Joy.
This only means I'll need to train harder so I can stay alive.
And with that mindset I let sleep embrace me.
