Chapter 4: Chapter IV
My sister had asked me if I wanted her to carry me home and according to Daisuke's memories we had done this when she used to train me. So I accepted.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed her carrying me home. I felt safe and protected, like I was on top of the world and nobody could touch me while I was with her.
I didn't have any siblings before and Akari clearly loved Daisuke, his memories told me so and I could tell from the way she acted.
The effect of Gamer's Mind has lessened due to extreme emotions.
"How long are you staying home for?" I asked.
"I," She paused for a moment in the way adults do before telling a child bad news, "I bought an apartment before I left on the mission." She said finally.
What?! "But you just got home! Your going to leave already?"
"I'm not leaving. I'll be in Konoha, that's why I agreed to train you," She assured me in a caring voice.
"Let me stay in your apartment then!"
She sighed quietly and I would say she sounded annoyed if I hadn't seen her smile, "I can't just take you from mom and dad."
"Why not? I want to stay with you!" I said sounding suspiciously like whining.
"Look, I'll go to mom and dad's house and have dinner, kay? I probably left some stuff there anyway."
I dug my face into the crook of her neck and she sighed again.
"How about I see if I can pick you up from the Academy tomorrow?"
I hadn't felt tired since I became the Gamer but as I nodded into her neck my eyelids felt suddenly heavy and fell shut.

I didn't wake up until my mother woke me in the morning. For a moment I wanted to complain I was still tired until I realised how ridiculous that was.

I'm not a 4 year old. I don't ask my mom for 5 more minutes of sleep and I don't fall asleep on my sister while she carries me home.
"I need to get to the Academy early today," I told my parents once I finished showering, "I'll grab something to eat on the way."
"That's fine sweetheart, your sister will be picking you up after." I gave a small nod as I walked out the door.
I walked to the Academy and used [Chakra Control] to climb a tree in the back before looking at my stats.

"What are you doing up there Daisuke?!" Yelled a young boy from below me.
"I'm reading Inuzuka," I said waving my scroll at him.
"How'd you get there?"
"I climbed the branches, how else?"
"My brother can walk up trees," He told me matter of factly.
"Your brother is a Shinobi, Inuzuka. I'm an Academy Student."
"But you're second in our class!"
"I'm still only an Academy Student," I have worked hard to make myself seem talented but not a prodigy.
I still took the second place because I wasn't just going to let myself fall in with the pack. I'm an Uchiha, they expect more from me.
The only one beating me is a girl from the Sarutobi clan. Who I would say is a genius but not an unrivaled one like Kakashi or Itachi.
"We're starting sparring today," Inuzuka told me.
"Where did this information come from?" I put my full attention on him for this first time since he started speaking.
"Mirai," He answered smiling, he seems quite proud of himself.
"How did Sarutobi know?"
"Her sister told her."
"I see," My sister didn't tell me.
"Mirai told me we would pick teams of three and spare together against another team. She wants you and me on her team."
That would explain why he's so proud then. The top student chose him for her team.
Problem for him is that I don't want to be on a team with Sarutobi.
"I'm afraid I've already agreed to be on a team with my clan mates," A blatant lie seeing as I just learned this was happening, but he is 4.
"But," He stopped clearly trying to find a way to convince me, "She's top of the class!"
"In grades maybe. I would be taking a gamble being on her team whereas with my clan mates I already know that they are capable from training with them," Another lie. I do know their capabilities and they are decent but that's only because of [Observe].
I watched as Inuzuka walked off before choosing yes to learn my jutsu.

I walked down the tree and made way to find my clan mates. I believe their names are Akemi and Ayaka.
During the first week of the Academy the class split between myself and Sarutobi as the two leaders.
Most clanless students, students from new clans, and civilian students joined Sarutobi while almost all those in old clans and some from new clans rushed to join me.
I learned that there were alot more clans in Konoha than I remember. Apparently to have a clan you only need to have had 10 Shinobi related to you, dead or alive, in the past 150 years.
After the first day the kids from new clans left me and joined Sarutobi. Probably because of their parents telling them a daughter of the Third is far better than a descendant of Madara could ever hope to be.
Still most students from the old clans stayed with me. Problem is I had no interest with interacting with them and even if they are from ancient clans they are still 4 year olds so most joined the nicer Sarutobi by the end of the first week.
I think that at this point about 10 of the 46 students are still following me around at the Academy.
Sarutobi is the one of two of my 'peers' who I could speak to without feeling like I had to dumb myself down for.
I think she is using this as politics training because she is always very guarded and diplomatic speaking with me, or at least as much as a 4 year old could be.
She always tries keeping her face expressionless and her eyes dead but shes not very good.
I think she meant this as a peace offering. Problem for her is that I don't care how long the war goes on because I'm not participating.
"Hey Daisuke!" Came a voice from behind me as I walked to my class.
I had to suppress a groan when I heard the voice.
"Senju," I answered before muttering [Observe] under my breath.

I should have chosen Senju.
"You're early today!" She exclaimed.
"I was excited for what we were doing," I need to stop lying.
"Whose team are you joining?" She asked kindly, but I knew that she had to be faking it.
I didn't bother asking how she knew what we were doing, apparently I was the last to find out.
"I'm not," I thought I saw her face brighten for a moment before I continued, "Akemi and Ayaka will be on my team."
"Oh," She said and paused before continuing, "And they've already agreed?"
"They will," I told her.
She looked like she wanted to argue but didn't because she knew they would agree.
Senju had shocked everyone by joining me instead of Sarutobi. Senju and Sarutobi have known each other since they were babies and train together according to Senju, so no one has any idea why she joined me.
I was doubly shocked. I thought that Tsunade was the last Senju but with a few questions towards Kimiko I found out there were a good few of them left.
Also I know that the Senju and Uchiha have a lot of tension still so it makes no since that she would join me.
Unless she had an ulterior motive.
She was 3rd in the class with my clan mates being 4th and 5th. And the other 'peer' I could have a conversation with.
"I don't have a team," She said after a moment.
"Sarutobi and Inuzuka have an open spot," I told her.
"Oh? How'd you know that?"
"Inuzuka asked me to join."
"Oh," She didn't seem as excited anymore as we made our way to our seats in silence.
Thankfully I don't have to sit by her. Most people moved seats to show whose side they were on. I was in the far back right so that's where my group gathered while Sarutobi's group had everything else.
Despite the difference in size my group was the stronger of the two. I am the only one over level 4 in our class and most are only on level 3. My entire group were levels 4s whereas Sarutobi and Inuzuka are the only level 4s on her side.
Haruto-sensei wasted no time taking us to the training ground in the back as we clearly all knew what was happening.
Except we didn't because he informed us we would be doing 1 on 1s instead of 3 on 3s.
