Chapter 27: Goblin Battle I
Yue and Estel can be seen standing on a tree as they watched everything fold out in the distance.
Despite knowing that Avery can take care of himself, Yue was still worried about his safety.
She knew that her big brother's experience was enough to handle the situation.
But, she can't help herself from being worried.
Apart from the spars she saw when they were trained by their family when they were young, she still has not seen the current Avery in action.
Things were all going as planned. Avery was able to take advantage of the goblin's short-tempered nature to lure them out of the village.
With that, Yue prepared his spell that she had been practicing.
She held her hands out as her palms faced one another. Mana started to gather in her palm as they slowly form a small fireball in between her palm. She poured more mana as the fireball started to grow bigger and bigger as she expands her hands outward.
After a few seconds, a hot ball of fire was formed in between her hands. The flame was ranging in all directions trying to break out of control.
Yue controlled and stabilized the fiery ball of fire as she controlled her mana.

With that, she slowly waited for her big brother to lure the goblins closer.
On another tree, Estel slowly calmed herself as she prepared her attack.
Slotting an arrow on her bow. She slowly drew the string back and aimed at the incoming goblins.
As she aimed she prepared one of the spells his majesty taught her. She willed her mana to the arrow.
Unlike Avery where he only enhanced the arrow in order to kill the deer without elements in it. Estel this time added the wind element while focusing most of it on the tip of the arrow.
The wind started twisting around the tip like a miniature whirlwind.
His majesty told her that this skill was only a weak imitation of a skill that was way stronger. It is a skill that would explode and form a raging tornado wherever it landed.
This weak version of the skill however only contained a small part of its power. It would only explode and release the wind element inside it and would not a form the tornado.
It could be said that it was like the fireball that would explode on impact. However, instead of fire exploding, the wind would be the primary element.
She has decided to use this spell to complement her majesty's Great Fireball. The wind would resonate and strengthen the Fireball which would increase it firepower.

On the ground, Avery was running away from the mob of goblins.
He would occasionally throw rocks enhanced with mana at the goblins. This was done in order to clump and gather them together. By throwing the rocks, it would slow down the goblins leading at the pack thus giving those at the back a little bit of time to catch up to the goblins leading.
By repeating this, Avery was able to congest a majority of the goblins together.
He then looked at three at the distance and saw that his little sister and Estel were ready.
After coming a little bit closer, he then gave the signal.
The Great Fireball was then launched towards his direction, followed by the Wind Elemental Arrow which was trailing behind the Great Fireball.
As the spell and skill were launched. Avery activated one of the movement skills he knows that can be used at his current level.
[Wind Dash Learned]
With the help of the wind, Avery dashed a couple of meters away from the goblins.
The Great Fireball then landed on the crowd of goblins.
Bang!!
An explosion of fire was formed. The heat was strong enough for Avery to feel it at the distance.
But it was not over as the Wind Elemental Arrow activated at the center of the explosion.
Bang!!
Another explosion was then heard. The wind elements exploded from the arrow and strengthened the explosion by taking advantage of the fire that has yet to dissipate.
Avery then turned around to look at the damage they have done.
There he that seven goblins who were at the center of the explosion lying down dead on the ground with their body charred from the explosion.
Five were injured but were not dead. While the last 3 which included the leader of the globin were not harmed.
The 2 were the furthest from the explosion thus giving them time to get away, while the leader was able to easily dodge it with his superior speed.
"It looks like the combined spell was not enough to deal with them. Well, that is expected since there is quite a gap in level." Avery commented.
More goblins would have been able to escape if Avery did not bother at clumping them together by throwing rocks.
Though, Avery was satisfied as they were able to take out half of the crowd while injuring five others.
The goblin leader looked at his subordinates. He raged at the elves before him that killed half of his scouting party.
"Chwee!!"
He does not care about anything else and was dead set on killing the elve before him.
The goblin leader yelled as he rushes towards Avery.
Avery calmly looked at the enraged goblin rushing to him.
He then rushes as he prepared to meet the goblin head-on.
On the branches of the three, Yue looked at the remaining goblin. She saw one of the unscathed goblin archers aiming his bow at her.
Without any other options since her movement was restricted on the tree, she had no choice but to dropdown.
As she drops down, two arrows then shot past her previous location.
Estel looked at this quickly and raised her bow in order to quickly take out the ranged goblins.
She then took a shot at the goblin and quickly shot another one.
As the goblin was distracted an arrow firmly landed on his head.
The other goblin was fast enough to react but was still hit in the arms thus making him incapable of using his bow.
Yue on the other hand prepared a spell that she thought of in theory. She has cast it in order to know whether her theory was correct.
After some preparations, she launched a short purple ray of mana at the injured goblin and effectively killed him after the small bullet of mana landed on his head.
[Mana Bullet Learned]
"Wow! It worked. Looks like knowing the principles of magic allows you to create your own spells without acquiring them from the system." Yue excitedly said knowing that there are a lot of things yet to be explored in the field of magic.
Yue was able to form the spell using the principles of how a gun works. A bullet is propelled out of the gun using the force of the explosion from the gunpowder. Here, Yue formed a projectile made from mana and replicated the force of the explosion using mana thus effectively launching it.
'Though there are still a lot of rooms for improvement as the Mana Bullet is not as fast and strong as a normal bullet yet.' Yue thought. She knows a lot of ways to improve the spell further as the one she launched was only a test in order to try if her idea worked.
'This is not the time to think about those things yet. We still need to take out these goblins.' She shook her head in order to get back on track.
'I guess this prototype would work for now as the mana cost is lower than the standard fireball' Yue thought.
She then formed more mana bullets to take out the other 4 injured goblins.
At the tree, Estel continues to launch arrows at the goblin archer and assisted Yue once in a while.
