Chapter 2: CHAPTER ONE
AURORA
The name's Aurora Del Fiero also known as the Witch, the Temptress, Little Miss Boyfriend stealer, the list is endless and we could be here for ages if you wanted a debriefing on how my classmates quantified me,but what can I say its not easy playing the game of highschool, even as I strutted down the hall of the New Dawn Academy, the school for the extravagantly rich, I could hear their murmurs, I could hear their whispers and their sexual fantasies,all the things they wished they could do to me, but I'd grown used to this, the girls all saw me as a boyfriend stealer and a proud self conscious narcissist who would go out of their way to get a guy just so she could prove she was hot, and the boys, those fools just saw me as another conquest, a tool to satisfy their sexual fantasies, no one ever bothered to get to know me, so I played along, I was the proud bad girl to all the girls and the sexy tease the boys could never have, but this was high school, my act was not bound to last forever, I grew stale over time and I was tossed into the corner with all the other rejects, every guy gave up on the chase and as such I was never invited to parties, never spoken to, I never had much use, and not a single friend not even the other rejects wanted to associate with me, not since...
Loud screaming and ladylike giggles filled the hallway and snapped me out of my reverie, irritated I turned to see the cause of the commotion, just in time to witness the entrance of the two new boys as they strutted down the hallways and as usual the New Dawn girls were slut shaming themselves, throwing themselves at them without any sense of shame while the older jocks sulked in a corner, sure the guys were super handsome, the first one with his mesmerizing blue eyes, brown hair, welled chiseled face and alluring smile, while the second was his complete contrast with his jet black hair and completely dark and soulless eyes, his jaw clenched in pure defiance, he was handsome in a rugged and brutish way so to speak, both were dressed head to toe in the usual school uniform but somehow the way their muscles bulged out from it made it look rugged and sexy, a cold stare from the black haired guy made me realize that I had been staring for too long, we look at each other for what must have been the most intense second of my life, and I finally break away, giving him a cold sneer before turning to face my locker,
I heard their footsteps approaching before I felt their taps on my shoulder
"hello I'm Jared McCall,this is my brother Terrence and you are?" the fair haired boy asks
"Not interested in this conversation" I retort sharply
He raises his hand in mock defeat and his brother smiles, which makes him look hotter, God I sound like a dreamy schoolgirl but no matter these boys will learn that are bound to leave just like the others but for now I was going to humor them, the black haired boy opens his mouth to speak, when I am suddenly pushed out of the way by the greatest bitch of all time , my cousin Salem
"Hi" she says in her sweetest voice " I'm Salem and on behalf of the everyone I'd like to say welcome to New Dawn, and I'd like to help you make the right friends, you seem lost" she says giving me the stink eye
I began to slowly back away but the dark haired boy, I mean Terrence grabs my hand firmly
"I think we can choose for ourselves who we should hang out with, thank you" he says firmly
" I think you should go" I say meekly and pull my hands away, he looks confused and hurt for some reason, but I don't let myself think I turn and walk away
TERRENCE
I watch her walk away from me, I couldn't put my finger on it, she was different, she didn't swoon over me like the rest of them, she wasn't affected by our looks or the glamour, she was a mystery and I couldn't quite put my finger on it, as I watched her leave I felt the urge to go after her, I was about to but I felt a light tug from my brother Jared
"don't go causing trouble" he said lightly "we have to stay under father's good radar we don't want to get into any more trouble with father"
I grunt in annoyance because he is right I can't risk incurring more of father's wrath
"if you're done" a cherry voice huffed and I jumped, being so wrapped up in my thoughts I had completely forgotten that Salem was standing there
"well come on, you're gonna want to make the right friends and we don't have all day" she huffed and wrapped her hands around both of us dragging us to the rest of our uneventful day
UNKNOWN
I watched her as she talked to the two youngling gods and I felt my blood boil, she was for my master, his little energy ball and once he got out of that accursed purgatory he would make her his, but not after he'd broken her, she would be his muse and I his right hand man, but she'd have to be tamed first, her energy was too wild, but she could hold on to it for a while, but I refused to let her hang around the riff raff like those younglings I'd not be doing my master proud and I wouldn't like to be punished again I had to get her away from them before things spiraled out of control.
AURORA
Classes have been an absolute disaster, I've gotten at least three detentions all because of Terrence and his stupid brother Jared and by lunch time I'd just about had enough, silently I went to my corner and began eating while brooding in anger, I was halfway through my meal when they both plopped down right to me without so much as a request, I continued eating silently and neither of us said a word to one to each other, and the tension between us bloomed until it was getting unbearable, I was about saying something when I felt a cold sensation making its way down my back, and the cafeteria erupted into a cold boisterous laughter as Drake the football captain and Salem's current boyfriend dumped the contents of his slushee drink all over me
"sorry, couldn't find the other trash can" he says giving me his trademark smile
I was about to retort with a classic comeback when I heard a low voice growl
"Apologise" Terrence says lowly
"ohhh" Drake says showboating "our new guy has balls, maybe we should castrate him, huh" he says to the entire cafeteria and everyone cheers as he gets another drink and pours it down Terrence's back, everyone ooh's and aah's and no one but Jared and I see Terrence fume to a point of no return, we watch him slowly get up, grab Drake's fingers and breaks every single one with a resounding crack, and suddenly the whole cafeteria stills and the only sound that could be heard was Drake's screaming and rolling around as he clutches his finger in pain and I hear Jared mutter to me
"so much for lay low and stay in the good radar, you must have done something to catch his eye"
I cringe.
