Chapter 9: Chapter 8 - Closures
(Diana’s POV)
I woke up late in the morning and I really did that intentionally because we have no proper class this day. But we need to have our attendance since it’s required as what Ms. Andora said. Also, I slept late last night because mom called me to ask if I was doing okay or not. Well I’m doing well…I think so.
“Bes, what time are we going to the University?” I shifted my gaze at Auzia who’s busy drying his hair with the blow-dryer. “Looks like we also need to be there because Ms. Andora is the one who checks the attendance. Arghhh I hate it!” as much as we hate it, we don’t have any choice but to follow it.
“I’ll just clean myself up then we will go there.” I stood up and head immediately to the bathroom.
It was a thirty minutes type of bath and I feel like it is still not enough. I usually take a bath for almost one and a half hour. I wear my uniform and look at it with full of admiration.
Our uniform is unique though. It’s a white long sleeve blouse with black in its end and in the neck part. Then we cover it with blazer paired with above the knee skirt. We are also using knee sack to be more formal. To sum it up, our uniform can be compared to a Japanese school uniform.
“Let’s go.” I brought only my shoulder bag because I only have my personal belongings. I also left all my notebooks at the boarding house.

The gymnasium filled with crowed as the basketball game started. Most of the crowds are girls who are cheering for different years. We also signed already the attendance which is managed by the president of the US, Andrea Gallante. While I was signing a while ago, her eyes never focus at anyone except me. She’s really scanning me like I did something to her Hello? Who is she? Super girl? Duh!
Auzia didn’t also go inside the gymnasium because Jacob forbids her to. Your grandpa is quite overprotective with my bestfriend. Auzia is not the player but Jacob really forbids her like she was the MVP of the game. “Hey babe.” I covered my ears as I got cringe about their call sign. My gosh!
“Oh Hi Diana.” He greeted. I look at his back in case someone is following him and good thing that he’s not here. I still don’t know how to talk with him. “Kin is in the football court and he’s with Dew. They are waiting for Dew’s br…I mean Dew’s girlfriend-to-be” I raise a brow on him which made him turn his gaze into other direction.
“And the hell I care? We didn’t ask for his whereabouts.” I exclaimed defensively. After second, I thought that I really sounded defensive back there that I wanted to pull back what I have said. It’s not that I don’t want to see him but I just don’t know how to approach him if he’s here already.
“So let’s go there. I don’t like it here too.” Auzia suggested and grab her boyfriend’s arm and pull him into somewhere that I don’t even know. What the hell! I didn’t even agree with that!
They walked together like there’s something tied on them. It’s not that a long walk for us to be here at the football court. As we approach the benches, Kin’s sight immediately landed on me. I don’t have any courage also to look at him so I just ignored him like he’s not here. Dew is also looking at us but he’s also normal as he was. “You’re Auzia right?” the woman that is beside of Dew asks.
“Yeah…and you are?” Auzia.
“Lucy.” She smile at Auzia and my bestfriend did the same thing. We sat at the benches where we are comfortable. We are here at the mini forest of the university which is a small walk away from the basketball gym.
“Guys, we will just buy foods at the cafeteria. Babe, is it a lemonade again?” Auzia nod at her boyfriend smiling like an idiot. I’m still getting chills when Auzia is acting like this.
“Lucy what’s yours?” Dew asked her girlfriend. Is she really his girlfriend?
Lucy gets some paper and wrote something on it. I guess it’s her order. Wow, Dew is like a waiter here. Since when?
Lucy gave the paper to Dew which made the latter smile. He’s gorgeously cute when he smiles. Unlike…ah never mind. I didn’t say anything.
Four of them looked at each other then shifted their gaze towards us. What do they want now? Don’t tell me they wanted Kin to get my order? I don’t have any appetite to eat right now!
“Kin.” Jacob called him but he just looked at Jacob in a boring expression. He’s always like that. He‘s acting like he’s always on his red days! Gosh!
“Tss. You like carbonara right?” He stood up and didn’t wait for the others to go to the cafeteria. Dew and Jacob looked at each other with a grin on their faces. What’s with them?
The two men run towards the cafeteria to catch up with Kin. “By the way, you’re Diana right?” Lucy asked in a friendly tone. She doesn’t sound bitchy to me though. A good friend I guess.
“Yeah, nice to meet you.” I answered with a smile and she did the same as well.
“When did you because friends with Dew by the way?” Auzia asked which is not that uncomfortable for Lucy because she answered it right away.
“Since the festival of the campus. Actually I am the first to approach him because he’s hiding at the mango tree and I thought of trying to prank him or something like that. But he’s still calm when I tried to scare him.” We just nod at her. It looks like we will be getting close with her too. “Can we be friends? If it is ok with you? I have no friends here actually except Aedric.” She turns her gaze at a different direction while asking that.
“Sure! It will be awkward if we will not be because our suitors are close with each other.” Auzia answered with pride. I really wanted to correct her with what she has said. Lucy and I are the one who has suitors because she and Jacob are already together. But what the heck? I’m really proud that Kin is my suitor, huh?
“Kin’s your suitor?” Lucy asked in disbelief. She wanted to stand up with that reaction but I think she just contained herself not to be over acting. I just nod at her because I couldn’t also believe that he’s my suitor now. Maybe he really get mad that time at the cafeteria because I am getting closer with Stygian. Speaking of him, where is Stygian? He’s not in the attendance as what I have remembered.
“Bes. Did you saw Sty a while ago?” I asked her. Maybe he’s absent?
“Why are you looking for him, huh? You know what Diana I think there’s really something wrong with that man. So please don’t let yourself be close with him.” I felt the sincerity in Auzia’s voice so I just nod at her. She’s rarely acting like that and I think she’s right too. I must also consider the feelings of Kin for me before getting close with Sty.
Maybe I should be contented that we know each other. But there’s a part of me that tell that they are wrong. That being close with Stygian is not bad. Why would I distance myself t the person if I treat him only as a friend. Well in fact I am not still with Kin and I am not his property. This is confusing!
“He’s really hitting you huh? I thought, Kin is only appreciating his self.” I shifted my gaze to Lucy. How did she come up with that idea? Is it really that obvious with everybody?
“How did you say so?” I asked curiously.
“Because a while ago, I tried to approach him but he didn’t even look at me. Aedric also told me that he’s like that already so I didn’t push it further.” Why is that? He’s very rude to everybody but not with me? I’m not being a feeling her or something but even with Auzia, he rarely talks with my bestfriend. Even with Jacob and Dew, he’s very cold like he was allergic to humans. But when he’s with me, he…he’s fine.
“Hey! I’m sorry for being late. The cafeteria is still close so we still waited for it to be opened.” Jacob excused before sitting beside Auzia. Dew also sat beside Lucy and of course Kin is with me because that’s the only available seat here.
“Here.” He placed the carbonara in my front which looks like a newly made. “Be careful while eating.” He said before sitting. He didn’t look at me after that but the butterflies inside my stomach are eating me alive. Since when did he pay attention in my eating habits? I somehow felt flattered from what he said but I just cover it with a smile.
“Where are Flicke and Clay by the way?” Auzia asked while drinking her lemonade. Yeah right, they’re not here in the campus?
(Jiana’s POV)
My boss started lecturing me as I arrived here in the shop late. I couldn’t blame him with this because this is my fault too but how the hell did I end up in this unlucky day. First in the house, my brother took a long time in taking a bath so I took a bath quickly that I forgot to shampoo my hair. Then in the bus. I am just waiting for a single bus yet it is too late to arrive in the station. The driver said that there is a heavy traffic in the highway so he was quite late.
“Why are you late again, huh? Look what you’ve got; you have activated the witch mode of our boss.” Even Danica is already concerned with me because of multiple lectures that I earned this week. I really don’t know why she didn’t fire me back then. I’m not saying that I wanted to be fired. I need this job too.
“Just go back to your place, Dan. She might see you next and you will be the next to me.” Our boss is quite observant like an eagle so we couldn’t even enjoy ourselves here. We are working here in Sylvie Fashion Company also known as SFC. I’m just a week ahead with Danica here so we are also quite close with each other already.
“That’s what I’m saying. That witch couldn’t even understand the word let me explain.” I laughed at the mocking face of Danica. She can really copy the way I say those words to our boss.
Danica came back to her place after we talk some horseshit to our boss. Her place is not that far from mine so if there’s any problem with her, I can immediately go to her and help. Sometimes I just laughed at her because instead that she will convince the customer to buy, she is the one who’s bitchy with the. No wonder that the dresses around her are still there and no one dares to buy it.
“Uhm Miss, can I try this dress.” I came back from my reverie when a customer asked.
“Yes ma’am. You can. You may try these there at the….” I stopped from explaining as I saw the face of the lady that asks me. If I’m not mistaken she’s…. “Maddie…Is that you?” She glanced at me and her calm angelic face turned in to shock and excitement. Maybe she immediately knows who I am.
“OMG! Jiana!” she shouted then embraces me…tightly. If you’re wondering why she’s like this to me, well we’re childhood friends and we’re best friends. Then after she entered in high school they migrated to Canada because her mom wanted her to continue her studies there. She even cried back then because she wanted me to go with here…as if it is really possible.
“Oh my god! I never thought that I will see you here.” She looked at me in excitement and I couldn’t even pinpoint what she’s thinking right now. I miss her doing that smile.
“I never thought too. Why are you buying this? I thought you’re rich already?” I joke her. She laughed at that and I just noticed that she has someone beside her. It’s a man and I think it’s her boyfriend.
“Oh I forgot to tell you. He’s Pathreck. More or less he’s still my suitor.” Maybe she noticed that I am looking at the man so she introduced it. I look at him from head to toe and they’re not awkward. They even click with each other.
“Suitor? Why? You still don’t answer me?” she nods at me with a small smile.
“I’m planning to but not now because I need to introduce him first to my Mom.” She whispered to me but Pathreck didn’t even bother to get curious. “Pathreck come here.” Pathreck also did that. He has a normal aura but his face still shows that he’s tensed...with something I don’t know. Maybe it’s because he’s meeting Jiana’s mom?
“This is Jiana. My childhood friend.” She introduced. Pathreck gave me a small smile and I did the same. “Flicke.” He uttered that made me confuse. Flicke? I thought his name is Pathreck?
“Don’t be confused Ji. Pathreck is his second name and I like to call him in that name.” I just nod at him and look at Flicke weirdly. His name is something that was obtained in a Pandora.
“By the way, Ji is my Mom here? The workers in the house said that she came in her office.” I raised a brow at her. Why is she looking for her mother here? I don’t even know what her Mom’s face is because she’s always with her company.
“Why are you asking us here?” I asked between my chuckles. Did her mom bought something here a while ago?
“You don’t know? She’s the CEO here.” I looked at him in shock and disbelief. What the hell? So all this time her mom is what we are calling witch? What the…!
“Oh is that the case? She didn’t introduce herself…I mean we don’t have much time to get to know each other here so…that’s it.” I felt some guilt in after saying those words to her mom. I don’t have any idea before that! “Ah…yeah she’s here.” Maddie excused herself to introduce Flicke to her mom.
I still can’t believe that that witch…I mean our boss here is her mom. I hope Maddie won’t get mad after what I’ve done. Let’s just say that her mom won’t tell her about my stupidity here in the shop. I sat back at my place just to let myself believe that I am not nervous.
Phone rings…
I look at my phone and I got curious because the number is not registered at my contacts. Did I give my number to someone that I don’t know? Who the hell is this? I just answered it because it may be important.
“This is Jollibee delivery how can I help you?” Let’s find out what will be his or her reaction with this. Hahaha!
(Clay’s POV)
I didn’t join with Kin in the university because I’ve already sent an excuse letter for me to be absent right now. I don’t want to spend my time there since my bride isn’t there. We’ve also talked about our brides and what’s the plan about them
---//Flashback //---
“Kin you’ve encountered him so what’s our move now?” Flicke’s voice is quite not in the mood already because we’re asking Kin about the next plan yet he’s not saying anything.
“Jacob, you saw him too right?” Flicke asked…frustrated. “So what can you say? How can we defeat him?” our atmosphere is already in a mess because of Flicke’s mood.
“THAT’S ENOUGH!” Flicke stopped from ranting as Kin bang his hands at the table and suddenly, Flicke float in the air while chocking himself with his own hands. “You’re too annoying you idiot. Do you think I can plan it immediately?!”
“Kin stop it.” Dew uttered nervously but he also floated at the air while holding his stomach. I also don’t know what to do right now. Flicke is trying to get out from the hands of Kin but Kin is too strong for him to get out.
“If you are fucking concerned with this situation, better shut up you damn mouth and follow my orders.” Kin uttered ending the conversation between all of us. The two fell to the floor after Kin uncast his powers on them. Jacob and I immediately ran to the two and help them. It’s obvious that the two lost their own energy while trying to get out from Kin’s powers.
“Get your fucking asses alert and protect your brides no matter what. That’s my order. Contented?” He looked at Flicke intently before going up to his room. All of us here left dumbfounded and we can’t even utter a single word because of what happened a while ago. I can see the urge of Kin to kill. Not to Flicke and Dew but to Stygian.
“Damn it! He really has a temper like that.” Dew complained while massaging his shoulders. “But he’s right. We should protect our brides. As of now, that’s the best plan that we have. Let him decide what’s next.” Dew uttered before leaving the dining area.

So Flicke and I decided to leave the school premises for the mean time to protect our brides.
I walked around the whole city and I happen to pass by at the building where I and Jiana met. I could meet here if I will wait her here. I remember her giving her phone number to me I immediately dialled her number.
Phone rings…
“This is Jollibee delivery how can I help you?” huh? Jollibee? What is it?
“Jollibee? I thought this is Ms. Strangestone’s number? Who are you?” who the hell is this Jollibee?
“HAHAHAHAHAHA.” I put away my phone as his Jollibee laughed. It’s fucking loud! “It’s you sir…..I mean Clay, I thought it was someone. I got nervous with you huh.” her? But who’s Jollibee?
“Then who’s Jollibee?” is she seeing someone already?
“HAHAHA you didn’t say that you have a humor like this? It’s too far from your personality. Don’t joke like that!” joker? Does she think I’m joking right now? “By the way, why did you call?” That Jollibee will be toasted once I meet him.
“I want to meet you. Right now.” I have this urge inside me that that Jollibee is trying to spy her. A spy from the Dark Wizard
“Huh? Why now? I have a work right now and I am not allowed to leave.” Jiana.
“Tell me the address of the place where you are working. I’ll be there” The anger and annoyance is still battling in my mind. Who the hell is that Jollibee? He must hide right now because I won’t hesitate to kill him right away if I saw him.
