Chapter 18: Chapter 17 - Overflowing Jealousy
(Diana’s POV)
“Diana the research that Ms. Luna is talking about, is it qualitative?” I put down my book and looked at her with my annoyed face. She keeps on disturbing me here for almost an hour.
“It’s up to you. It’s our choice daw.” I still can’t forget what happened in the classroom a while ago. Make me having this mood right now. Does he think that it will be that easy for him to apologize for what he has done? I thought we we’re dating but why am I the one who’s adjusting to this?
“You’re still not in the mood, aren’t you?” Auzia asked while staring at me. Looks like she got affected by my mood too. But who cares? I’m like this when I am not in the mood. I’m ignoring everyone.
“Obviously.” I answered exasperated. Most of the student also shifted our gaze at our direction because of my shout. I don’t care though, they won’t die in that
“Diana! Wait up!” I looked back and I saw my bestfriend busy fixing all the books that we borrowed. “Just forget about that, will you. I know that I have no idea what happened between you two but I think he didn’t intentionally do it.”
“So you’re siding him?” I raised a brow at her which made her look at the other direction. Don’t tell me that he’s siding with that asshole rather than me.
“It’s not like that but…”
“I don’t need his explanation Auzia. We’re just dating anyway so I could just leave him if I wanted to.” I said those words but I felt a pang in my heart thinking if that will really happen. I know I’m slowly developing my bond with him but if this is the product of this bond, well I can erase that thought in my head.
She sighed. “Still I can’t convince you.” I didn’t reply with that for our conversation to stop. She’s right too. No one can change my mind when I’m in this mood. “I’ll get going. Jacob and I still need to go somewhere.” She bid her goodbye with a disappointed face.
These past few days, I can say that I am already okay with Jacob as Auzia’s boyfriend. He’s understanding and has initiative. I know that he can take care of Auzia as much as I want to.
I left the library after that ad went to the cafeteria. Good thing that there’s not much students here right now. I still have two hours vacant time since the science department has an urgent meeting so our professor in science cannot report.
“Hey.” I looked back as I heard someone calling me and there I saw Daniel wearing his nerdy look. This guy really never gets tired on studying.
“Hi. I thought you’ll be heading home.” That’s what he said a while ago to Andrea after our last class was dismissed. I don’t know how they ended up get close too for Andrea to ask his whereabouts.
“I change my mind. I’ll just spend my time here in the campus.” I just nod at him. He’s really a one question one answer type of a guy.
I get some food at the cafeteria and there’s the lady assisting me. I also notice this that this cafeteria doesn’t look like one. Cafeteria must be in a serve-yourself way but here, sometimes we are the one who’s ordering our food. But there are times that it’s a serve-yourself way. Maybe I just can’t get my timing.
“One white coffee please.” Daniel ordered too. I don’t know but the way he act right now, I think he’s tired or something. Or it’s just my hallucination. His expressions we’re showing tiredness.
“Did you run a while ago? I mean you look kinda tired.” I broke the silence between us while looking for a vacant table.
“I’m fine. It’s just my body is not that immune in staying under the sun?” Huh? Then why did he stay long under the heat? “Wondering why.” I nod at him, shocked that he knew what I was thinking. Is it really obvious in my face that I am curious?
“Mr. Morgan just asked me to deliver a document at the science department building. So it’s kinda hot outside walking there.” Is that our professor in science?
“By the way, did Stygian tell you when he is coming back?” I stopped from what I am eating as he brought up that name. Speaking of him, he didn’t attend the class right now too.
“No. It’s already been days since our last conversation.” How can I talk with that guys too when his attendance here is like a dolphin that rises and sinks in an unexpected time.
“Is that because Kin doesn’t want to see you near with Sty?” and that’s it. I already lost my appetite as he mentioned that asshole’s name. “I’m sorry for being nosy. Just don’t answer it if you’re…”
“No he’s not the reason behind this. Sty rarely attends class these past few days so we couldn’t get a chance to talk.” My mood came back again. Every time I hear his name, my body starts to tremble and I don’t know why.
“Oh I misunderstand it.” He chuckled at that and sipped at his cup like he was trying to hide his smile. He’s somewhat tensed in that topic. Did I say something wrong?
“What do you mean you misunderstand?” I asked intriguingly to him for us not to lose the topic. I need information all about that asshole. Maybe Daniel knows something about him.
Daniel’s face suddenly became serious as he put his cup at the table. “I heard that Kin asked you out so I thought he don’t like that idea.” He answered straightforwardly. He gave me a smile telling that he felt awkward talking about this kind of topic.
“Yeah you got it right. He’s still hitting me.” I still haven’t rejected that punk so I think I can still say that he’s asking me out. I’ll just reject him later.
“U-until…now?”
“Indeed.” As if on cue, my body went still as I heard his voice behind me. Goosebumps runs in my body and I can’t event move my body to look back at him. I just escaped the conversation, or should I say our shouting session, of ours a while ago.

“Look I’m sorry about what happened in the car last time. I know I sound rude that time but let…”
“I’ll let you explain?” I asked sarcastically. Ha! What does he think of me, an explanation center? “You don’t need to explain Kin since you have nothing to. I heard what I’ve heard so kindly leave me alone, ok?” I fixed all my things and just put them inside my bag without a proper arrangement.
I don’t care if it will look messy after this but I need t hurry. What I need is to escape this conversation before I burst out because of this dumb asshole.
“So you’re leaving me like this?” I stopped from the door when he spoke. So what if I’ll leave him? “I thought you’ve agreed for the date because you like me.” He let out a sarcastic laugh which made me look back. “You’ve only agreed because of that fucking cupcake.” He shook his head and stared at me. Our eyes met and I saw all the anger and hatred in his eyes.
“I-it’s not…I mean, I didn’t…”
“So you’re gonna reject me now?” I was taken aback with that question of him. I don’t know if I can answer that question right now. Is it right to reject him without hearing his explanation? Can I really reject him without any regrets?
Almost a minute passed and my mouth cannot utter any single word. “I…I…” Shit! Even we’re just alone here at the room but I’m still stammering.
“You? What?” He asked me with a husky voice, slowly walking towards me. What is he trying to do now?
“I…I gotta go.” I didn’t wait for his reply and ran out the hell in that conversation. Why did I even think twice about rejecting him?

I slowly turned my head around and I saw his death stares at Daniel. His fists are just closed and his veins in his hands are popping out crazily and at the same time, charismatic. He’s jealous again.
“Kin, I didn’t notice that you’re there.” Daniel greeted like it was nothing before sipping at his cup. I felt his presence trying to take the seat beside me. I looked at him panicking and he’s telling me to move a little bit for him to sit. I rolled my eyes and do as he says. As if I can do something with it?
“So why are you here with my wi-Diana?” I looked at him with warn as he almost slip out with that ‘wife’ of him. As if I like that call sign.
“We’ve just bumped with each other. Right Diana?” what the hell? I’m already keeping my mouth shut here and this nerd really asked me. I’m already safe a while ago!
“Y-yeah.” Shit, why am I even stammering?!
“So there no business between the two of you?” Kin emphasizes the word ‘business’ and dart his eyes at me. What does it have to do with me again?
“I think so.” Daniel answered casually before leaning at his seat.
“Great, cause I’m taking her away. I have a business with my property.” I was forced to stand up as the fucktard pull me with my wrist.
I was dragged by him and I don’t know where he wanted to go. I just followed him like his kid since I can’t get my hands from his grip. He’s too strong compared to me. I look back and now I know where we’re heading.
We’re heading to the rooftop!
(Lucy’s POV)
“Lucy, I’ll just send the copy of our report on your email.”
“Okay.” I left the room and I just bid goodbye to Zaya, my group mate. We don’t have class this afternoon since our professors will attend a seminar which we don’t know where.
Not our entire Prof joined though, but it’s still useless if only the others will be the one to teach us. Other Profs only left us with activities and assignments. This is what I hate, when our activities are piling up.
So right now, I won’t stress my brain with these activities. I’m planning to go to the gym to list my name in the competition in their place. Though I am not one of their people but Mr. Santos told me that it is still okay.
“Hey!” I look for the voice that, I assumed, called me. “Where are you going?” my eyes landed at the person that I am not expecting to see right now. He’s even running towards me. But I just noticed that Aedric is really handsome in all aspects. His looks are rare to find. His body is well built too. He’s insanely tall and I assume that he’s exercising always.
“Hey is there a problem?”
And he’s hot right now! Yes, I admit that my feelings are rapidly spreading unlike the first time I saw him. Who wouldn’t fall in this kind of face anyway?
His sweat that drips down on his face looks hot and at the same time charismatic. How to be a sweat, everyone?
“Lucy!” I was snapped out from my daydream as he called my name. Or more of he’s getting my attention. Did I stare at him for many seconds? Oh my god! How embarrassing! “What are you thinking?” I wanted to run from him right now!
“N-nothing.” My heart races again with my own breath as he leaned forward to check my face. I slowly leaned back because it’s too distracting for me if our face is too close to each other.
“You’re red. Why is that? Are you sick?” I looked away when he asked me about it. He saw me blushing?! But why is it that he’s asking me like that? Doesn’t he know that I am blushing or he’s just pretending not to know?
“What meds do you need?” He asked again. Good thing if he didn’t really notice that I am blushing. Right, settle to your mind that I’m just sick.
“No need. It’ll fade after a minute.” I contain myself not to stammer since his face is still an inch away from me.
“Oh is that so.” Oh thank you lord and he stood up properly now. I fix myself too as he distance himself to me. Good thing that he also remember to distance himself. I thought he’ll just stare at me until I drop down. “C-can you skip your t-training? Just for today?”
I glanced at him shocked and curious. His voice is also hesitating. Maybe he’s really shy to ask me that. “Please?” Why would I skip right now? Or does he have plans? If there is, why am I included?
“Why?” I asked back and he scratches the back of his head with a shy smile on his lips. H-he’s cute when doing that.
“I w-want to spend m-my free time with you today.” I unconsciously raised my eyebrow at him. Spend his time? It’s the same as if he wanted me to ask out. “If it’s okay with…”
“Of course it’s okay for me.” I cut him already. He looks nervous and keeps on rubbing his other hand on his pocket. “But…” He glanced at me, waiting for the continuation of what I am going to say. He and his stares are just hot. Why am I feeling awkward? “…you can just straightforwardly ask me.”
His face suddenly becomes clueless and curious. Doesn’t he get it? “What do you mean?”
“I mean if you wanted to date me, which I am not jumping into a conclusion that you wanted to, if that’s what you want, you can ask me directly. Not this that you…”
“Can we formally date?”
“…will use some words…what did you say?” Did I hear it right?
“I said, Can.We.Formally.Date?” his eyes were glowing like crystals while saying those words with firm and sincere voice. Yeah I heard it right. Of course!
“Sure.”
(Third Person POV)
“And what is it had to do with you if I will go with Daniel? And one thing, I am his friend and he’s my friend too so why would I distance myself to him?” Almost all nerves of Diana are ready to explode as he fired back at Kin’s argument.
“Because I don’t want to see you smiling in front of them.” Kin answered her calmly while leaning at the edge of the rooftop. “That smile is mine. I’m the only one that owns that.”
Diana’s face couldn’t be explained when he heard those words from Kin. Hus face is like angry but blushing. “I-it’s not y-yours.” Diana cursed herself as she stammers with that. Kin fixed himself and walk towards Diana’s position.
“I am. You’re my property Diana.” Diana’s soul almost left his body as Kin emphasizes the word ‘property’. He also almost forgot to breathe because of Kin’s words.
“So don’t hang out with some douche there. You don’t deserve them.” Diana didn’t expect what happened next. He only found herself standing still, shocked, curious, blushing and at the same time happy when Kin placed his lips on hers. Kin left the rooftop but Diana is still there holding his lips with a smile on her eyes.
She’s still feeling the lips of the guy whom he hated a while ago. Deep inside of herself, she’s glad of what Kin did to her just now but his mind still denies the fact that he loves Kin.
Seconds passed and all of those exciting expressions of Dian were replaced by irritation. “Hey Kin! Who told you to kiss me without my permission! That was my first kiss you dumbass!” Diana screamed more or like excitedly shouts to call the attention of his unofficial boyfriend.
