Chapter 1: MORNING
Flashback:
WHAM!
A slap landed on her tender face, she holds her hot face that was burning from the slap, Merlin's eyes began to tear up
She looked up as her gaze met her Father who just slapped her and her step mother and siblings who were undeniably mocking her with their humiliating smiles
Dear Lord, how much she wanted to rip their mouths apart....
She cried not because of how it hurt, but because she couldn't do anything, regardless of how much she hated them, she could only endure
She rose up with a smirk after wiping her eyes showing no fear as if saying, "nothing you do to me can affect me anymore"
Seeing this her Father's face became red with anger, so red that it seemed it would burst if slightly touched, he felt humiliated by her unapologetic look, losing his sense of reasoning he grabbed a large piece of the shard reminants of the glass table she accidentally broke earlier
Realizing his intentions, Merlin froze with fear but was quickly snapped back to reality by the sound of him stepping in the shards
She tried to dodge by running but her weak knees betrayed her, as she turned to run she felt something dripping along her back, she brought her hands to her back to feel what it was, as her hands returned forward she was shocked at the sight before her, just then a sharp pain entered and she screamed in pain
The present:
Buzz! Buzz!! Buzz!!!
Hearing the alarm, she opened her eyes but quickly closed them immediately after being blinded by morning light streaming through her windows
After adjusting her eyes to the light,she raised her head to look at the alarm before shutting it up
"Morning already...?"
"Hmmm"..... muttering, she rubbed her face which had be covered by her long messy auburn hair
Her hair was soft, rich and full which made it look very attractive and couldn't be ignored
She stood up to do her regular morning stretching routine, as she did her grey cropped top pyjamas raised and something caught her eye through the long dressing mirror placed directly in front of her bed
It was a scar left on her body from numerous torture moments during her childhood
She could only shake her head as she tried to push back the gruesome memories
She walked towards her closet and pulled it open as she said "let's see what fate has in store today"
