Chapter 12: Chapter 10
School has officially started and Alex forgot about the incident at the convenience store already. He didn't mention it as well when he checked in with his parents on that day as to him it's just a sudden chill that could have turned into a cold if he wasn't able to immediately counter it with a cold medicine.
Students rushed to pack their things and head out of the room to go to their next class or to hang out with their friends. The two Omega bestfriends took their time, not wanting to join the mob of students rushing out.
"Hey sluts wanna join us tonight?" Mike or Big Mike as what everyone likes to call him said as soon as he saw Dan and Alex walking out of the room. Big Mike being an Alpha that he is, harassed the two of them on the daily basis together with his two lackeys.
The two Omegas ignored him like usual, leaving the big guy seething in anger. It was actually a surprise that he hasn't done anything beyond verbal harassment on them.
"Hey Big Mike's talking to you sluts!" Brent one of the Beta lackeys grabbed Dan's arms making the Omega flinched from the pain.
Alex immediately helped his best friend and forcefully removed the Beta's hands from Dan. Brent just put his hands up as if gesturing that he's not doing anything, mocking Alex's for making a fuss.
Right now they are already attracting attention and some students are already murmuring about them but no one cared enough to help the two Omegas. After all it's just an Omega who's getting assaulted, it's pretty normal for them. Some even think that the Omegas should just give in.
Alex tried to shield Dan from the three idiots harassing them. Dan is on the submissive side and cannot stand up for himself. It's always Alex who stood up for the both of them, and usually fights off the bullies even though he's an Omega himself.
The commotion ended when the Chancellor happened to walk in on the scene. He immediately asked everyone to go to their classes and asked the two Omegas what's going on when Big Mike interrupted and explained that they were just asking the two about a class assignment.
Dan seconded the Alpha's statement so as no to create more trouble, which Alex did not agree on. He wanted to tell the Chancellor that they were being harassed but Dan's pleading face kept his mouth shut. They just took advantage of the Chancellor's presence and immediately left and avoided any more interaction with the trio.
"Why did you not let me tell the Chancellor the truth?" Alex asked disappointedly.
"Let's just leave them be okay? We will be starting our internship in just over the month. We won't be seeing them until we graduate. I don't want to talk about them anymore please." Dan pleaded, making Alex sigh at his friend's way of thinking.
Dan is right though, their curriculum requires them to only attend a month or so of their lectures, the rest of their semester would be spent on the internship that the University arranged. Though not everyone can opt for this arrangement, one has to apply and the university would select students who qualified for the internship. This is one of the reasons for the high enrollment in their school. Those who qualified for the internship usually get hired after graduation. The University has ties with multinational companies, ensuring a great future for their students.
"Hey Babe!" greeted by the new guy as he approached the two Omegas.
Alex's mood turned even more sour when he saw the guy. Eric is the Alpha boyfriend of Dan, who he still believes is not good enough for Dan. He doesn't like the guy as he always makes Dan cry, sometimes Dan would come to him and there would be some bruises on his body. They always argued as Alex liked Dan to break up with the guy which he hasn't done until now.
The Alpha immediately snaked his arms on Dan's waist and for the first time Alex saw Dan flinched at his boyfriend's touch. He can sense that the Alpha's presence is not making Dan happy.
"Dan we need to go now, we still have classes." Alex interrupted and he can see the relief in Dan's face. They said goodbye to the Alpha who kissed Dan passionately, ignoring the fact that they are out in public. It's one of the reasons Alex really hates the guy. He does not respect Dan at all. Why does Dan still love him is something Alex cannot comprehend. Maybe love is really blind indeed.
The rest of their day has been uneventful and goes by pretty peacefully as compared to their morning. They were planning to grab an early dinner together but decided against it when Alex noticed that Dan doesn't look so good. He sent his Omega bestfriend home and ordered him to take a rest.
It was already past seven in the evening, Alex just finished his dinner and was about to call his parents when he received a call from Dan. Apparently the other Omega is now in his heat cycle earlier than usual.
Dan called him for a favor, as he is currently in heat he cannot go to his part time job and asked Alex to fill in for him, otherwise he may lose his job. He only has to go in today as Dan's next shift is after his heat.
Alex was not aware that Dan is doing a part time job and in a bar no less. But he couldn't say no to his best friend and agreed immediately. He called his parents and checked in on them earlier than usual, not mentioning the part time job he's filling in. It's just for a night anyway and there's no need to trouble his parents about it.

"Sir, Ms. Ivana called inviting you tonight for dinner." Dana said to her boss as he took the documents he just signed. She knew her boss would definitely decline the model's invitation but she still has to relay the message.
Keith furrowed his brows in irritation. The model is proving to be as annoying as he thought. During the blind date that his mom set up for them, the model keeps insisting for them to go up to her hotel room. She keeps showing him her cleavage which actually repulsed him. The woman can get naked for all the world to see but he will not give a damn about it. He has rejected her on the spot, but it seems his rejection is not cleared enough as the model keeps calling his office.
He dismissed his secretary and ordered her to decline any invitation coming in from the model. Martin came in just as the secretary was leaving his office.
"Keith, I just got a report that Kiefer is currently at X Bar."
Keith heave a sigh, it seems his irritation is not subsiding tonight. That idiot brother of his has not been coming to school and Julian told him, he would be expelled soon if he won't show up. Jules' family owned the Ricci University where his brother is attending college.
Kiefer is almost ten years younger than him and has always been a pain. Their parents spoiled him rotten and its upto Keith now to ensure he graduated from college.
"Should I ask them to bring Kiefer home?" Martin asked. Keith declined, he would get that idiot brother of his in an instant.

Alex came to the address that Dan gave him and for an elite bar, they didn't ask him too much information. When he said he came to fill in for Dan, they just asked if he can carry the tray of drinks and serve customers. He just nodded and they gave him the uniform and the apron to use on the spot. It seems they are short on people and will welcome anyone who can fill in.
He's not lying when he said he knew how to serve customers as he used to help at his parents restaurant. So he didn't find it hard to take orders or deliver drinks. The bar is crowded and looks decent enough, though he's having a headache because of the loud music but all seems okay. If he concludes that the bar is shady and not decent, he will refrain Dan from coming back to work.
Alex just came back from serving drinks when he noticed a tray at the counter with an expensive bottle of brandy. The head bartender noticed too and he immediately checked which customer ordered it. When he saw the order list, he immediately asked Alex to bring in the tray to one of the VIP rooms. He told Alex to just apologize if they get mad for the delay in their order.

Keith walks straight to the VIP room where his idiot brother is, but when gets there Kiefer has already left and his friends scrammed as soon as they see him.
He ordered Martin to go and check where Kiefer ran off to. He decided to just stay and see his friend who owns the bar. He asked Martin to wait for his call to pick him up later.
He was about to call his bar owner friend when that sweet smell he was longing for suddenly fills the whole room and walks the prettiest man he has ever seen.
