Chapter 34: Personal Mercenary
He reached the place where Haku was crying behind one of the trees in the forest. He approached her and slowly sat beside her and took her in his embrace.
She cried even louder in his embrace due to the warmth he was emitting. She was more hurt by Zabuza's word than any of the battles she had in her lifetime.
After some time, she finally calmed down
"Thank you" she thanked as she appreciated his company during this painful moment.
"Its alright. Feeling well now?" he asked
"Yeah" she replied
He wanted to see the fight between the villagers and the Gato's men so he tried to wake up but Haku embraced him even harder as she asked
"Can we sit like this a little longer?"
"Ok" he nodded his head. He already had his clone with Tsunami so he will get the memory of all the things that happened so he was fine
"So what do you want to do next?" he asked as he really wanted to know what she would do next since her so called benefactor was now her painful past.
"I don't know" she replied as she was genuinely confused
"My offer still stands. Become my personal mercenary or would you prefer more" he teased trying to distract her mind from the pain with flattery
"Alright" she replied with no hesitation
He was surprised at how fast she agreed. Maybe the pain from the disgust Zabuza showed made her realize that she should live for herself and where better than with the man who took her heart on first sight.
"Glad to have you by my side" he replied
"So what do you want to do with him" he asked pointing towards unconscious Zabuza.
"Can you let him go? Even though he never took me as his partner, he still helped me survive in the past and fed me till now" she asked as even though disgusted just looking at Zabuza's face, she still had a appreciation deep down for saving her and this would be her payback and they were now even
"Alright" he said since letting him go was not a problem. What problem could Zabuza give him who stood at the apex of this world?
They then stood in that position for a while talking about themselves as they stood up after a while and went towards the village where the battle had already ended and Gato's men had already fled.
He created a clone and sent it to finish them off as it was better to remove the roots as a whole to prevent future troubles.
After he reached the village, he directly led Haku towards Tsunami's house where they were saying their thanks to Kakashi and others.
Sasuke had already recovered and unlike the anime, Sakura didn't cry due to her conflicting feelings but she did take care of Sasuke during this time.
They had a hearty dinner after defending their village from Gato and fending them off by themselves causing their confidence to soar.
They questioned about Haku so he explained about her being his mercenary, they didn't question anymore and they had a peaceful evening.
Tsunami then assigned Haku a room but Haku came to him and asked
"Can I sleep with you tonight?"
She had a red face as she asked realizing how ambitious her request sounded
"Alright" he answered as he laughed at her embarrassed face
He then told Tsunami about the situation and told her to not come tonight causing her to pout as it had become her favorite thing these days that is to sleep with Alex but she could understand Haku's circumstance and accepted his request with a sad face
He then kissed her and made his way towards his room along with Haku. Behind him he could feel an intense stare at him. He looked behind and saw Sakura looking at his direction with an obviously jealous expression.
He knew it won't be long before she will jump at his bed causing his anticipation to soar with just a thought of it.
He winked at her causing her to turn red with embarrassment getting caught red handed staring at them. She humped and turned away like a typical tsundere. He now wondered if he had a fully fledged Tsundere in the making.
He shook his head and entered the room locking the door. He could feel the atmosphere turned strange since it was the first time he was sharing a room with someone who had not fully loved him.
He then started to undress as he heard a shout
"What are you doing?"
"I am undressing duh. I have to get comfortable to sleep don't I" he said as he looked at her blushing face
"You won't do anything to me right" she asked as she crossed her hands before her breast pretending to be trying to protect herself.
He laughed at her antics as he just entered his bed as he suggested
"You should get yourself comfortable and I don't need to do anything to you. You yourself will be doing it with me in the future right" he asked with a smirk
"You" she blushed as she didn't think he would be this direct and she knew it will happen. Who could hold themselves from loving this man with all this charm he had.
She sighed and removed her protective gear but didn't remove her clothes and entered the bed with a red face without looking at his face.
"You better do nothing or or I will cut your thing" she threatened with a red face
"OHO can you" he asked with a smile
"Try me" she said trying to intimidate him.
"Alright, alright I won't do anything to you miss dangerous" he replied with a smile
She just pouted looking at his smile knowing full well that he was not threatened in the slightest and he was just playing around with her.
She then slept as she latched on him sleeping at his embrace soon asleep with all the stress she felt during the day.
His charm seem to have done its job as she looked more comfortable around him and was talking comfortably. She also seemed to have somewhat forgotten about the painful day.
He just slept with the beauty in his arms hugging her bust.
