Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Once upon a time, there were cousins who lived in a motionless ambience. Their names were Zues and Czeya. They were maternal cousins, for both of their mothers were first cousins. As they reached the transitional period of development between childhood and maturity, they both began to feel a strange energy in their hearts, every time their gazes met. What an inexplicable heartbeat it is. Czeya kept her feelings hidden since she was ashamed of what others would say if they found out. Until Zues confessed his feelings to her and ruined the peace of their cousinhood. He spoke of how his tummy was filled with butterflies every time she unleashed her sweet smile.
That was a go signal for Czeya to admit her feeling too, and so she did.
They then became a couple.
They became lovers in secrecy; kissing as the curtains closed, holding hands as the door shut, and exclaiming their "I love you's" when no one was around. For they both knew that it was a forbidden act. Who would allow their almost-unable-to-believe relationship? Their parents wouldn't, and neither would the church, the law, their family, or the world.
It was very difficult. So, for the sake of their love, although it was not easy, they kept their relationship a secret.
Galaxie, on the other hand, was a close friend of Zues, who happened to be his fake girlfriend in front of his family.
"Babe, Daddy thinks I'm gay because I haven't brought a girl home since! You know, I can't tell them what we are, about what we have. That's why I made an agreement with Galaxie. She knew it would be all for show and nothing serious. If I don't do this, if I don't let them know that I am in a relationship, they might find a girlfriend for me... I don't want that, babe." Zues explained to his girlfriend.
Czeya crossed her arms and said, "Make sure that it will be just purely pretending." she emphasized the word 'purely' then flipped her hair.
Months passed, their secret relationship continued. Galaxie, as well, continued to pretend to be Zues' girlfriend in front of his family. It pains Czeya everytime she sees them being sweet in front of her. It was as if she was stabbed in the heart every time they had to pretend.
If only she could uncousin Zues, she might have done it. So they won't have to hide anymore.
One day Zues got so sick. Czeya became so worried and urged herself to pay a visit.
"Uhm, Aunt Loisa. I'm going to visit Zues. I heard he's sick." she spoke to Zues' mom.
Her Aunt Loisa bowed slighty as a sign of greeting and opened the door widely for her, "I am glad that you two are getting closer," she said, "Zues is in his room, and oh... by the way, his girlfriend is there, taking care of him."
Czeya was so shocked, causing her to gasped deeply and immediately felt annoyed and jealous. Why was that woman taking care of her boyfriend?! It's hers! She clenched her fist and went to Zues' room right away only to find out that Galaxie is feeding Zues in a very sweet position, while he was so weak, lying down, and eyes were weary. What on Earth was happening? Why was she doing that?!
That's not necessary for Galaxie to do that thing.
It's Czeya's responsibility.
Czeya's blood raced at that moment and slammed the door. She then stole their attention.
"You can go home now, Galaxie. I will take care of my boyfriend." she raised an eyebrow at that witch.
Galaxie placed the plate on the table, and glanced at Czeya from head to toe. "No, I will take care of my best friend."
Those words verily suprprised Czeya, causing her jaw to drop. "Wow! This woman's face is thicker than a webster!" she said to her mind.
"I appreciate your concern, don't worry, I will be taking care of my boyfriend. Would you mind leaving? We need a privacy... and ah... so we can also have a moment for ourselves." she said while holding back her annoyance for Galaxie. Yet it was obvious in her voice, the annoyace she carried.
Galaxie's grin immediately sprouted upon noticing that kind of annoyance. Her bad side was now flourishing and blooming like a little flower. She thought of annoying Czeya even more for some inexplicable reason that ran onto her mind. And to include, Czeya never treated her well since day 1, and she was clueless for that. What had she done to make Czeya hate her? So, annoying Czeya would be a great revenge.
"Excuse me? We are in Zues' place, and in this place, I am his girlfriend." Galaxie hid her teasing plan, but deep inside she was already dying laughing. She never thought she could ever say those words.
Czeya took a step back, so shocked at what she just heard. She could not believe what Galaxie had said! She didn't expect that Galaxie would really-seriously play her role as Zues' girlfriend. How cuckoo?! She wanted to burst out at that moment, wanted to drag, and tweak Galaxie! However, she tried her best to control her anger. That was not the right place and time to burst out.
She had to control… or else, there would be a consequence.
"You're the fake girlfriend! I'm his real girlfriend!" But she failed to, her annoyance triumphed.
Inwardly, Galaxie has a demon who laughs so fvcking hard right now, because why not? She succeeded on annoying Czeya. Just look at her friend's girlfriend, her face was turning all red, like a tomato.
"As long as we are here, I will be his girlfriend, I am his girlfriend, and I am entitled to be. And you are nothing but a vile cousin." Galaxie seemed not yet satisfied with what she said to annoy Czeya.
That's it. Czeya couldn't hold back her anger anymore. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fist, threw her sharp stare at that witch. She was about to slap Galaxie… however…
"Stop it! Czeya! Galaxie!" Zues stole the moment.
Czeya raised an eyebrow in shockness, "Would you tolerate that woman, babe?!" she asked in disgust and pointed out Galaxie's face.
"Would you tolerate her, Zues? Is that how she should treat me? Instead, she must be thankful." Galaxie turned the table, raising an eyebrow. Throwing back the same energy as what Czeya had given.
Czeya gasped, "Why would I?!" she frowned.
Galaxie just rolled her eyes, "I saved the both of you! If it weren't for me, you might have been separated." she once again rolled her eyes and flipped her hair like a real bully.
Zues was now burning because of them, "BOTH OF YOU! GET OUT!" he shouted as he gritted his teeth. He could not endure it. Those girls made him feel more sick. d@mn it.
It was his first first to be like that, maybe because he was sick, or maybe he was too irritated. Both Czeya and Galaxie zipped their mouths, and silently left the room.
Czeya could not believe that her boyfriend had sent her away and raised his voice like, as if he didn't love her.
Galaxie, as well, could not believe that her best friend had sent her away. She felt so bad.
And just as they closed the door, they started throwing blames to one another.
"This is because of you! You're too ambitious, knowing that your relationship with Zues is just fake!" Czeya glared.
Galaxie raised her chin, "Never deprive me of my rights to my best friend, and the two of us won't get into trouble." She flipped her hair and then left.
Czeya knitted her forehead and glared at Galaxie, until the last phase of her presence vanished on her sight.
"That woman is a virus in our relationship, I have to keep Zues away from her." she said while having herself alone.
