Chapter 55: | Love is Not a Game (Part 1)

The horse was galloping straight ahead, barely skipping the low branches and jumping over the bigger rocks sticking out of the ground. The trees were sparse, so it needed no real guidance from its rider; it could continue to run forward until its last breath.

The man up on the saddle goaded his horse to move faster, like an arrow shot in a straight line. "Hia!" his shout echoed through the landscape at even spaced intervals. The rider 's nostrils flared from the rush of air intake, his eyes watered and his lips turned parched, but he only noticed the trail ahead. His focus was on the only thing dancing on his retina–the image of General Sung-Ho. The bloodied nose and swollen eye of what was to become the image of General Sung-Ho. 

Once Jung-In started on the direct path towards the general's military camp, he did not care anymore what lay in front of him, and he spared little thought about who he'd left behind.
