Chapter 1: Prologue

Raven Stone was what any resident of West hill would call perfect.

Doting neurosurgeons for parents, an unbelievably handsome artist for an older brother, perfect features on a perfect face, valedictorian, president of the West hill high student body, popularity.

She had it all.

Her life is uneventful, one perfect day after another until something, or someone flipped her world from the inside out.

Hayden Keating intrigues Raven from the first time he enters West hill high in clothes that could pass off as rags and worn out shoes that croaked with every step.

He's quickly made the social pariah, taunted especially by the popular squad, a squad headed by Raven.

Raven finds herself stealing glances at the pauper, drawn in by his dimpled smile and attractive, innocent face.

Her piqued interest doesn't go unnoticed by Hayden, who —against his better judgement— feels an inexplicable pull towards the dark haired beauty.

So when Hayden comes up to Raven one day, publicly asking her to give him a chance, everyone is beyond shocked.

However, they're in for an even bigger surprise when Raven accepts.

And so, an unlikely relationship began. Everything was perfect in the life of Hayden Keating once again.

Until everything came tumbling down.
