Chapter 6: DATE
6 years have passed since Dongxue regained her memories and went back to Realm of gods.
in these years I have been constantly training myself in cultivation as well as physically.
2 years ago I managed to collect enough SP to buy 'The Great Way Of Buddha' and comprehend its first stage giving me the strength of 2000 kg making it more difficult for me to train.
Over these years I also made use of different basic runes I could use with my current primordial energy. I used them on the weights I was wearing everyday and my clothes to increase their weights for my training.
I also secretly gave medicine to my big sister whenever I sensed she was ill with my experience and made sure she stays healthy resulting in 26 year old maid to look like she just turned 18.
Due to my strict training regime my physique leaned on the lean side and my muscles developed slim but hard, adding that to my blonde hair and deap sea blue eyes I could say that I looked rather handsome.
Qingyue in all these years still couldn't find information about the realm of gods but instead of losing hope she took it as a challenge, I sometimes feel proud of myself to be able to change the Raven head beauty so much. Unlike in the novel, she doesn't have that neutral face and icy aura around her instead she grew up to be confident, bold and dignified like a noble princess.
A year ago I imprinted a permanent rune on her profound veins without her knowing and let's just say I overestimated myself. The only reason why I was able to imprint the rune on her was because I used primordial energy rather than profound energy and I used my vitality when my reserves depleted. The rune I imprinted on her attracts profound energy from the environment and slowly circulate it in her organs, bones and profound veins resulting in her body getting used to profound energy and strengthening her body to some extent.
It also resulted her in body maturing faster than normal, currently her looks are of a 12-13 year old girl while being 10 years old.
Few weeks after her birthday she could feel the profound energy in the surroundings but to her joy.
Our relationship has grown quite close and it won't be wrong to say that we spend most of our free time with each other.
I was the first person that she informed when she sensed some time of energy in air to which I told her that it's profound energy.
I asked her to not tell her father about this as in this world children start cultivating at 11-12 years of age and her being able to do it now would lable her as a genius.
I am right now at the peak of true profound realm but I still can't fight chu yueli who is in sky profound so it's better that she doesn't attract too much attention.
I could've cultivated faster than this but I wanted to keep the fact that I am cultivating so I just cultivated 1-2 hours a day.
Getting back to Qingyue's case, I gave her a cultivation art 'DIVINE BLIZZARD ARTS', it is an ice elemental art and just for the record it's thousand times better than frozen cloud arts and maybe even better than that ice god investiture Canon or something.
the best part of this cultivation technique is that it doesn't have any BS side effect on the cultivator.
I sighed remembering all this and muttered 'STATUS' in a low voice.

'So system wants to play match maker here, huh?' I internally smirked as I made my way to the hall from where I heard Qingyue and old man hongyi's voice coming from.
To be honest I never got along with that old man I don't know why, maybe it's because his daughter spends more time with me.
By the way, arriving at the hall I saw Qingyue and old man playing chess. Like usual Qingyue was losing, she isn't good in chess.
"haha, you can't beat your own father so easily Qingyue" he laughed with a proud expression winning again.
Qingyue sensing me immediately got up and hugged me while complaining "big brother, father is cheating like always." while pointing her finger at her father.
"you shouldn't bully your own daughter like that, old man" I finished as I saw his expression changing, while gritting his teeth in annoyance he said "I am not an old man, little kid"
"I'm also not a kid, old man" Sparks flew in between us as I first broke eye contact and looked at the girl still in my arms "forget about the old man, yue'er how about we go on a date today?" I suggested internally a little nervous for rejection but to my surprise she instantly nodded "En, it will be fun." I looked at the old man who was witnessing the events with a shocked expression. I secretly gave a smirk toward his direction and his expression turn to realization and then a glare.
I took her hand leading her towards her room while the old man was shouting something about how I stole his daughter and what not.
I escorted her to her room and told her to get ready while I went ahead and booked a seat at a nearby restaurant.
after that I asked the system to convert some of my SP to profound stones. after all as a man I have to pay for her expenses.
Finishing all the preparations I went back to pick up Qingyue. I knocked on her door and after she told me to come in entered and got dazed at her sight.
she was wearing a white tip and long skirt which contrasted with her black hair but gave her a strange sense of beauty.
"how do I look?" she asked looking down but I could see a slight blush on her ears.
I snapped out of my stupor and immediately replied "most beautiful scene I have seen in my life" she seemed satisfied with my reply and showed a bright smile.
Taking her hands again we made our way outside the house after I informed my sister. my sister just gave me a knowing smile and just shooed me away as soon as possible.
As we were making our way to the restaurant I booked I sensed two auras of nascent profound trailing us afar, 'So he sent the guards after all, that old man.' I thought as I shook my head. ignoring everything else I focused on my beautiful partner.
After eating our fill and me paying we made our way to shopping district, there I bought an ear ring for her which she accepted with a smile.
All in all we had fun with each other and as the sun was setting we made our way back to home while holding hands.
During the date we got too much unnecessary attention from both males and females for which I had to use a little killing intent which I accumulated after all those assassinations.
Shaking my head a little to clear away these unnecessary thoughts I glanced at Qingyue from the corner of my eyes, she was still smiling to which I took a breath of relief.
When the Xia manor entered my field of vision I stopped walking and turned to Qingyue " I want to tell you something, yue'er." I said with a low voice. she also stopped walking and stared at me, nodding at me to continue"I love you, I don't know when I started falling for you but I want to live rest of my life with you, I want you to stand by my side as we continue to aim for the peak." I said in a single breath as I awaited for her answer, I don't know how from where I found the courage to tell her all this but when I started speaking all my feeling flowed out into form of words.
I saw her forming a blush on her cheeks as she opened her mouth but couldn't say anything and at last she just hugged me and tried to hide her face.
after a few moments I heard her speaking in a low voice "I-I don't understand what I am feeling, I like your company and want to always stay at your side. I feel empty whenever you leave me, at the same time I respect you so much. i-i don't even know at this point" she took a breath as I didn't interrupt and let her talk her mind "All my feelings are so muddled and I feel so confused" she tightened her hold on me "please give me some time, I want to sort out my feeling I promise that I won't take long" I smiled and i also hugged her "of course, I am not in any rush I will always be by your side when you need me."
We kept hugging each other for another few minutes and then decided to end our date.
Arriving in my room I laid down on my bed and started cursing my own stupidity "idiot! idiot! idiot! of course she isn't ready yet, what was I doing confessing on my first date" I punched my pillow a few times to release a bit of my frustrations, deciding not to cultivate in my current state of my mind I directly went to sleep.
The next day in the morning I made my way out of the room for breakfast and met Qingyue along the way.
She hurriedly walked past me with her head down without saying anything totally ignoring me.
I stood Stunned there for a few moments until I fell to my knees 'its over!! it's over!! it's over!!.'
My sister who happened to be nearby saw my pitiful state ask me about what happened, hoping to get some advice I told her about everything that happened yesterday "So, why is is she acting like that, big sis?" I asked my sister with a hopeful gaze.
"ohh so it's just that, it's very easy listen to your big sis here" I gazes at her impatiently urging her to speak faster "She doesn't like you" she simply said and I again fell to my knees 'its over!! it's over it's over!!' "or maybe she's just embarrassed" she voiced out again and I looked up at her "why is she embarrassed I'm the one who confessed and got shot down." I asked she she shook her head while wagging her index finger "you don't understand a girl's emotions at all, lang'er."
"Maybe she thinks that you are disappointed or mad at her, she's acting like that because she is feeling nervous" I nodded my head at her explanation, it all makes sense now.
"Now let's go and eat don't think too much about it, you both were very close since childhood I knew that you will end up like this" she nodded to herself eyes closed while I just chuckled at her antics.
I couldn't concentrate on meditation as my mind was on something else, sighing I decided to call it a day but couldn't as I heard a knock on the door.
Opening the door I was surprised to find Qingyue who had a little blush on her face
"can I come inside?" I smiled and nodded at her and proceeded to make way for her to come.
"So, I think you are here to give me a definite answer" She nodded her head with a determined look in her eyes "I know that you gave me some time to think about my feelings and I'm also sorry for ignoring you today," I shook my head but before I could say something she continued "I also love you, I may not know the true meaning of love but I want to stay with you for the rest of my life" She finished as she hugged me tightly while I was still couldn't comprehended what just happened.
Sorting things out in my mind I also hugged her back and said in a decisive tone "I love you. Today. Tonight. Tomorrow. Forever. If I were to live a thousand years, I would belong to you for all of them. If I were to live a thousand lives, I would want to make you mine in each one." this may sound funny coming from a 11 year old but my mind was more mature and I said those words with my heart.
We continued hugging each other for a while till we both were satisfied and I called her in a gentle tone"you can sleep with me for tonight" her face turned crimson in an instant as she said in voice low than a whisper "B-But we are too young for that" I managed to hear that and decided to tease her "ara my girlfriend has quite a vivid imagination, I just suggested to stay with me for the night" Steam started coming from her face as she decided to run away but I held her hand and pulled her to my bed pinning her down and then proceeded to sleep beside her.
"You are already stuck with me for your whole life now, Qingyue, I won't let you go, ever" I whispered in her ear as my adorable princess decided to bury her head in my chest and ignore me.
Smiling at her cute reactions I hugged her close as I drifted to sleep with a content smile on my face.

Cute_lama This chapter is basically light romance between mc and Qingyue. I'm kinda bad at these type of things but I will keep improving and no more long timeskips like this one, there can be small 1-2 year timeskip though.
