Chapter 3: [3] Davina Claire........
"How did you get up here? Who are you?" she demanded looking ready to use magic on him the moment he lied to her.
Even like that I still found her cute, giving he a sheepish smile I stayed where I was while talking, "Sorry about that, I didn't know anyone was here. I was in the quarter and while walking lost in thought I got lost. When I saw the church I just walked over to look it over, didn't expect to run into someone so beautiful though." I whispered the last part.
"What are you then because there is no way anyone magical or supernatural could get in here with the barriers I set up." she said looking him over, she put down her hand since he hadn't moved to enter.
"Ahh well that is hard to explain, and if I am going to talk shouldn't you also talk about what you mean?" I asked tilting my head to the side and giving her a smile.
She looked me over before nodding, "How about we both say what we are, but know that if you are a vampire I will kill you."
I chuckled, "Trust me I would never want to suck blood that just sounds gross, no clue how anyone could get use to the taste." She nodded along to that, "Anyway let's start simple the name is Dex Everly and you are?"
"Davina Claire, What are you doing in New Orleans?" she asked the next question even though mine was more of an introduction.
"Friend wanted to come for Mardi Gras decided to join, though hearing you talk about vampires makes me want to stay at home now." I said sighing, she smirked a little, "So what are you going in this depressing Church?" even though I knew why, I didn't see all of this series but I know enough about season 1 to know why she was here.
She paused deciding if she wanted to speak the truth or not, and knowing the story of it I would know if she lied, "Well there are some circumstances that made me need to be here, my friend is letting me stay here to protect me from something. Though to know more you have to tell me what are you since a normal hum couldn't get inside here."
I nodded since she was telling the truth but not the full thing, "I can tell you but it has to stay between us, to be honest I don't want to be caught up in whatever is going on between you and whoever." I really didn't need the trouble at the moment since I didn't know the power difference between me and a Vampire but I'm sure there status would be way higher than mine.
She thought about it before nodding, "I can do that but if it comes down to it I will tell someone if you become dangerous."
"Haha alright then, I'm a Nephilim." I said smiling at her shocked expression it wasn't hard to know what I was seeing as they were a biblical thing in some sense, though I'm most certainly no saint.
"No sh*t, you aren't joking are you?" she asked looked at me with wide eyes.
"Nope now your turn Love, what are you?" I asked in my best English accent.
She chuckled a little, "Well seeing as you told me then I should tell you it is only fair, I'm a witch. And no not the pointy hats and brooms it is more of channeling other old witches and power from the Earth." she said before I could say something about a witch in movies or tv.
"Well there goes my wish of us two flying in the sky me with my wings and you with the broom." I joked, since I still had not walked in I leaned against the door smiling at her.
"Ha Ha, Wait you have wings? Can I see?" she asked a little excitement in her eyes and voice.
"Why would I do that? You haven't even offered me a seat but you want to see something so intimate about me *tsk* *tsk*" I said wagging my finger and smiling.
She paused a moment and thought it over before looking at me with a serious expression, "You can come in but don't do anything funny or you will get a pain like never before."
I saluted her, "Aye aye Captain!" she rolled her eyes while I walked in and went to look over her paintings, "These are good you have a real talent for this, so what were you going to do before I rudely interrupted?"
She looked between me and the coffin before sighing, "What the hell, Inside here is one of the original Vampire...." she went on to explain them to me, "So I was going to see if there was a way to kill them for my friend, it would help him out a lot if I could figure this out."
"You know I am a Nephilim right so I know a lot about the supernatural world right?" I said this just so that I can explain things later, she actually got a pretty blush on her cheeks forgetting that for a moment, "I know what can kill them but," I looked at the open coffin that held Elijah, "You shouldn't take out that dagger it will slowly wake him up if you do."
She looked excited that I knew something about them, "Then how are they killed?"
I tilted my head smiling before standing up and walking towards the door I was here enough and I gain nothing from helping them, "Now why would I tell you that? Didn't I tell you earlier that I don't want to be apart of any of this." With a last smile and before she could say anything I turned into Doves flying away.
She was left standing there staring at the door with awe but also a complicated expression, she knew his words were right it would just bring him trouble if he helped her out. She sighed and looked down at Elijah she just hope he came back maybe he could help her out again, or come just to talk.

Before my energy ran out I landed on my back in an open field, it was a cool exit but the landing would have shattered all of that if she saw it. Standing I looked around and realized I went in a random direction that made it even harder for me to get back to where the city was.
Sighing I started following the road along the way killing anything that came in my way, knowing that vampires and werewolves were in this world then I needed to be much stronger just in case. The results were slow but they were gaining which was all I could ask for, I wonder how much Exp I would get from killing a vampire though.
That thought didn't go away as I made my way back into the city following the sound of cheers and music being played, when I made it back the place was in full swing. I went to the nearest place to eat it had been more than five hours since I last did and using Shinra Tensei twice along the way plus the Dove travel made me super hungry.
When I walked inside I sighed at the moment a blonde who went by the name Camille was at the bar, looking to the side Marcel was also here with Niklaus talking about something. Of all the places I ended up why did it have to be the one place I would run into these two, going to an empty table I sat down and Camille came over to serve me.
"Hey there what can I get you?" she asked with a smile.
"Ahh what do you have here? I'm only in town for Mardi Gras so I've never been here?" I said since there weren't any menu's either so it was kind of hard, it was obviously a spot for locals who come here often.
"Well we have it all but if you have a special request then you can ask and I will put it in." she said smiling and waiting patiently.
I looked over to Marcel and Niklaus they were both looking at me too but it was most likely because she was over here talking to me. Sigh well I only need to act like a normal person so they don't mess with me, " Can I try the gumbo please if you have some. For a drink just bring me some water."
"Haha you are in Louisiana what do you think?" She laughed while writing it down and walking off.
I felt their eyes leave me as she walked away, I let out a breath I was holding but then a thought occurred, Should I help Josh and Tina or let it play out? Shrugging I let it go I didn't know them that well and from what I saw in the show Josh has a pretty good life after he is turned so why should I stop it.
When Camille brought the food I smiled at her and dug in, it was my first time having authentic Gumbo and it was delicious, before I left I had three more bowls. It was about time for me to meet Max so I walked down the street until I found where I originally came from, though took me awhile I did find it.
Walking inside Max was at the bar with a different girl, sighing I walked over and pat him on the back, "What's up man how is your day going?"
"Ahh there he is, what's up Dex? What did you get into today, I met this really nice girl right here who invited us to a private party, invite only." he said with a smile winking at the girl who just smiled at him, I saw a glint in her eyes though.
Feeling something was off I declined, "Nope I'm okay, why don't we stay here and drink?" That was the wrong thing to say though seeing as the girl was staring daggers at him which led him to believe he was right about the party that was going to take place.
"Ahh what a party pooper, let's do it this way, you stay here and get drunk while I go enjoy myself. Don't worry they know you are with me so you drink for free and won't get carded." Max said standing and wrapping an arm around the girl, she looked like she wanted to say something but seeing that Max agreed she held her tongue.
Sighing I knew something was going to happen it was probably the same party where Josh and Tina got turned, I don't remember who all got turned there since they didn't show it. Hopefully Max makes it even as a vampire he could make it back home safely if he got a daylight ring, just in case I should probably go see Davina tomorrow.
Once they left I drunk a little and was tipsy, by one a.m. Max wasn't back yet so I figured something happen, it was confirmed when someone suddenly rushed into the room grabbing me by the throat. My worst fears were true though my eye could almost follow them the vampires were a little faster than me, another day of killing things would level me up tomorrow though.
The one holding me against the wall was the same woman who left with Max, "So what happen to him?"
"He will be fine, can't say the same for you though." her face changed and she moved in to bite but I used Shinra Tensei right at that moment lucky there was no need for a call out.
The downside though was it was more bloody then I thought her entire chest area where it hit was gone, blood was all over the place. I stood there looking down at her and my eye twitched seeing her dead there, the place was a mess and there was no way Banshō Ten'in was going to clean this up.
Sh*t! I forgot to ask where Max was though, shaking my head I decided to leave this place but first I took a shower, didn't need to leave in bloody clothes. Looking at my Exp Bar it shot up from level 2 to level 4 at 80% looking at the gained Exp it was 250.
Well while it was enticing it was not a situation I wanted to be in again at the moment, grabbing my things I took off toward the only place that I knew in this city.
