Chapter 5: Jack of Misfortune!
Inside a classroom, all student was eating their lunch, except for the kid who is leaning towards the window watching the other student playing on the field.
"Hey! Tyro wants to join with us," a cute female student talks to the leaning kid on the window.
"Nah I'm good, Jeanie!" Tyro replied to her did not even leave his eyes on the kid who is running on the field.
"I see then, sad I have your favorite chocolate then I have no choice but to give it to Yujin then." The cute girl name Jeanie tempting Tyro using his weakness, Tyro's favorite snack.
"For real? Mom told me I could only buy that thing for a certain amount of cash." Tyro rolled his eye towards the girl next to him could now believe the girl's words.
"Hmph! Yup! I accidentally found it and ask my dad to buy it." Jeanie replied to Tyro with rolling eyes.
"Then what do you want in exchange?" Tyro retorted.
"Help us with our homework, that's all." She replied directly and continued, "until we graduate in elementary," she added with an evil grin on her face the same as the students behind her.
"That's all?"
Tyro was confused about the girl's condition to exchange the expensive chocolate just to help them pass elementary.
"Huh!?"
Everyone is surprised by the reaction of Tyro, then she changes her condition. "Then what about until high school?"
"Let's do it until college" as a bonus Tyro confidently answered back.
Everyone's mouth gape opened at how smug the face of the boy in front of them.
Then a promise is a promise, Jeanie raises his pinky and swear to each other to help them pass until they graduated college in exchange for the expensive chocolate.
With that Tyro teach and explain to them what their teacher did not explain to make them understand their class topic every day. All of their classmates gather around and listen to Tyro's explanation. Tyro's explanation was better and understandable than their teacher's explanation. Making Tyro the most popular student in their school he was called the Unfortunate Genius. For only one reason Tyro always falls on the very first step on the stair every day.
Then Junior High School came. . .
Senior High School came. . .
Every single day of College days, that seen repeats. Every time Tyro fall on the very first step of the stair, some who did not know him feel the guy was fooling around, and some who knows him just laugh and hit the back of the man and said
"You'd never miss that old day JM still doing those silly actions. hahaha!"
Most of the people that are close to him called him "JM" in other words Jack of Misfortune. Jack from the word jack of all trades master of none, because he can do anything in terms of physical and mental aspects nobody can par the man.
Misfortune will be the obvious thing. Not only he fall into the stairs but also other things like Tyro want to buy soap to wash his body in the grocery store but instead he will receive soap for washing the clothes, ad if fate is joking with him mysteriously, and on that day he never buys soap in the grocery store instead he will just ask his mother to buy for him. And other more unfortunate events, that he wishes he could forget.
Until he meets a very old friend of his introducing the VR game called Z-ONE, which is where you can choose any power you want inside that game.
"Hey! JM! Long time no see." A skinny and tall guy with a white shirt waving at Tyro across the street.
Then Tyro notices the waving man and he was surprised and feels nostalgic about how long they haven't seen each other, it was Yunji his best friend since high school. Yunji did not go to college due to financial problem instead the man works in the gaming industry and become a pro player that is known thru out the world. His alias or In-Game-Name (IGN) is Black Samurai.

One of the high-end restaurant,
"For real a game like that exist?" With a smile that makes girls faint Tyro is delighted by the man's story.
"Yup! Are you perhaps interested in it?" Yunji asked the smiling Tyro.
"More or Less, yes!" Tyro replied to his friend and continued. "How can I access the game?"
"Hmmm, next year there will be a slot auction in Las Vegas but I don't know the details yet. But I know that the game is limiting their player every week." Yunji replied to the curious Tyro beside him.
"Limiting the players? What do you mean by that?" Tyro got more curious about his friend's replies.
"Yup! Limiting the players do you remember the VR games we played in the past? If you remember those VR games always launch their game publicly to boost the popularity of their game through the number of players they meet on the very first day of the game. But this game is different instead they limit their players for only one reason, to sell the gaming capsule at a higher price. That is why there will be a slotting auction next year." Yunji explains in detail to the curious Tyro in front of him.
"I see, so this slotting auction is very important to the future of your character if you want to play that game." Tyro pondered and somewhat could not understand one thing then he asked his friend. "How much does each slot cost?"
"I don't know but probably millions if not thousands," Yunji replied casually, and then he continued. The price of the slot varies on how many slots does the game company auctioned every week."
"Okay, but I just interested why would they limit the slot." Tyro replied still could not understand why the game limits their players and selling the slot for a higher price is just an excuse Tyro has a hunch on it.
"Whatever, so JM let's just meet up on the slotting auction bring Jennie with you okay?!" Yunji shakes his head and ignores the mystery about the game on his mind on the slotting auction venue the company will just explain everything to them so what's the rush.
"Jennie?!"
"I don't know where she is right now. The last time I saw her was her birthday 6 months ago. But I can contact her and tell her about this game." Tyro smiled he just remembered his other best friend.
"Then it settled we'll just meet in Las Vegas next year I will just send you a message when will be the auction start." Both of them exchange emails to contact each other. Then They both talk to their good for nothing old days, after that, they left the restaurant.
Time flows just like that and the slotting auction started. . .
