Chapter 37: Arrivals and Departures
Tau and Jade bond some over monster core and some loot, which is all blue, they have killed six squads now, the level might be slow for Tau but Jade has finally just hit level ten.
"Boss my system says as an advance body I can choose what one of two options, I can either upgrade my current talent or randomly get a new. The first shock to Tau is that Talents can be upgraded which means their is probably level to most stats. Secondly and even more unfair basically cheating she got an option to choose. A dreadful thought goes through his head. 'what if there are better bodies than advanced.
Tau shakes vigorously, as if water is trapped in his ear. He shakes until the feels a liitle dizzy.
"Boss man, you didn't answer me, what should I do?" Asks Jade, Tau throws his hands in the air.
"Upgrade, even if you get another equally amazing talent I doubt that there will be anyone with an upgraded talent like yours." says Tau, he scent of horror as he remembers he gave the tinkerer token to Gcina. He spins around stomping the ground like a child having a tantrum. He whispers curse at himself.
" Fuck me!" It boils over for a little bit the next squad he hunts alone are handed using the darts as daggers. He rips into them brutally taking his time to work through his misfortune in his head.
"Boss, you good do need more time alone or what?" Jade ask Tau who is ripping apart an already dead Jackol. He used his new fond knowledge of them to make it possible. Plus to his surprise when using darts as daggers he can attack much fast than they can. He also nearly put on his leadership ring but he is just sulking not really mad with fury after all he has his mob.
Tau also finally has his Horde bag an extra slot he got from being Horde Leader with the loot bonuses he is putting everything he does not intend to keep that was why he only had a tantrum he is sure their others worse if than himself not that helps him feel better.
"I will feel better if you tell me about your upgrade talent," Everyone even the Jackols could scent that lie but she does oblige him. His little tantrum was funny and showed a more goblin side of Tau.
"Well I'm still an artisan however I now gain job related masteries one hundred percent faster. On top of the original ability which is too gain expertise in all trades that I'm in whenever I work." says Jade proudly she imagines a moment what kind of things are considered technology here and how she can make things. A strong lack of scent, says all Tau needs to know. She misses her old career.
Tau and her start to make their way after about two kilometer of fighting in the tunnels, they are last to arrive, Tau looks at the two groups unhappy with one.
Pilo is not really leadership material he just is stronger than the others by almost two hundred, he is still in the white which is the lowest but being under one thousand even as a level fifteen puts into perspective how hard normal goblins have it. On top of that he seems to giving him lself the best loot even his Kobold is bare. Most of his teams have given their pets something any thing they find.
"Pilo, how did it go your side? Did you find the boss?" ask Tau his voice smooth his mind on that fucken Master Goblin Tinkerer Token.
Pilo answers confidently brimming with excitement, "We did what we could in the time you gave us we got about a kilometer in and I even managed to find a green rank item." the scent oozing from is positively goblin Troic. Tau can't fault him for being a Goblin that's just who he is but he could be a better goblin with just a little self control.
"Good work I guess, try to figure out why your group is working so slowly. Try make some changes to your group formation and think of each enemies weakness and try take advantage." Tau already knew the Dawn group did better each one of them is kitted out from head to toe even most of kobolds are wearing some type of armor it's most white and some blue rank but everyone has something just like a mob. Whatever they find is shared to one another group goblin greed, a better way to goblin.
"Impi coordinate the setting up of camp as the losers, Star group will be on watch duty." says Tau, scenting a tinge if fury as Pilo had the balls to grunt and moan while Tau spoke he can only give the gobo so much rope before Tau has to pull it and hung him.
Tau quickly falls asleep as camp is set up around him
A couple of hours earlier
Gcina is sitting in the hovel with Diana taking in her new look. They are waiting for Palesa to come back. Gcina loves the braid in the silver hair and the way the torches fires accents her light green skin makes Diana very attractive. Gcina is scenting pure attraction and desire at Diana.
Diana is also scenting desire but she has an awful undercurrent. Something is definitely on her mind and weighing heavily on it like waiting on test results.
"My sweet pumpkin, whats going on with you, anything I can help you with?" says Gcina lovingly.
"No, I'm trying to deal with myself. Like where the hell is she. We totally have an early morning like can't she understand." Diana says. Her mood not improving. Gcina trusts her old friend to open up when she feels she wants in her own time.
"Well then I'm here if you need me." says Gcina she didn't say 'when' as that assumes that Diana will not be able to solve it herself. Both Gcina and Diana's skin gooses as Palesa walks in looking tired.
"Can you like try and control that please, I don't like being cold." says Diana in an irritated tone scenting a bit amiss. Palesa decides to ignore its okay not be happy everyday but Diana is being a bit rude Palesa feels.
"Hello to you too Diana. I'm fine thank you." Palesa sit her blue ass down next to Diana pulling back all her magic power which is what causes the environment around her to be so cold. Diana scenting some apology let's Palesa sit next to her Gcina in front of them both.
"I think like you should start since you are the last to arrive Palesa." Says Diana, her smile both friendly and framing her words as an order more than request. The scent of everyone milling together mostly good and positive with hints of desire, stress and fatigue.
"Alright damn bitch, we all miss the fucker. Today went well they are in the travelling groups and should be ready to take by morning to leave the Get. Details are with Reku, I'm really beat you guys please try to make this brief." says Palesa projecting her own feelings forward thinking that is why her partner is in a mood.
"That's good I have also sorted everything out on my side with exception of about thirty goblins the others are also packing and will be leaving with us. That should bring the total amount of goblins in the Horde to a hundred with half of being in your Warband Palesa. What about the Roverband Diana? Asks Gcina after explaining her position with gobo without Tau here they can't officially add all these goblins but at the very least they can prepare them.
"Well It's like this they're all dead. I took all their stuff nothing of real value. Just a couple of old books which I plan to go through later." Diana scents annoyance at herself, she knows she could have it differently. Diana smiles when a strong scent of pride from both the goblina's..." You'll are not like mad at me wasn't I suppose to bring them into the Horde?" Asks Diana eyes wide.
" Of course not, you were supposed to handle the situation and that's what you did your really are surprising sometimes. Remember you can't have a braai without slaughtering a few cows." Palesa says scenting and rubbing her partners leg. Diana looks at Gcina next eyes still wide.
" Yeah damn girl I didn't think you had it you I'm so proud of you. Leaders do hard things all the time as long as you can sleep at night I don't see anything wrong." says Gcina scent pride and desires
"So like I did good?"..... The gobo's nod... "brilliant then now, that Reku what are we going to do with her?" Asks Diana who mood is improving. Palesa yawns she is very tired.
"Do whatever you want with I'm going to sleep, please wake up tomorrow. I want to make sure those gobo's are ready so we can leave as soon as." Says Palesa yawning again.
Gcina looks at Diana with a puzzled look, Reku is good gobo to have around very useful and makes wonderful dresses. That all of them are wearing." I can handle Reku my dear unless their is a specific reason you want her."
Diana responds with, "nothing at the moment definitely down the line she is going to be of use me and my plans." Diana gets closer to Palesa helping her out of her dress. Gcina watches stripping naked herself...
