Chapter 72: CHAPTER - 22 { The Hero: Croconaw! }
Boom!
The ground split open as multiple thick tree roots came up and tried to trap the Feraligatrs.
Slash!
One of the three Feraligatrs used Scratch and cut the roots, stopping it from advancing.
"Fera~ligatr!"
Then another Feraligatr opened its mouth wide and shot a strong jet of water, Hydro Pump.
Bam!
It hit Torterra but did little to no damage, mostly due to Torterra's strong defense and type advantage.
"Pumpkin, use Dragon Breath!"
Qeen said with a wave of his hand, Hydreigon flew towards the three Feraligatrs and opened all its three mouths.
The strong Dragon Breath pushed the Feraligatrs and also confused them slightly.
"Torterra, Leaf Storm!"
Seeing a chance, Jenny ordered her Torterra immediately.
"Tor~terra!"
Hundreds of green and sharp leaves burst out from the tree on Torterra's back.
These leaves gathered and stormed around the three Feraligatrs while inflicting severe cut wounds.
"Fera~ligatr!"
Two of the three Feraligatrs couldn't fight and fell to their knees. Their bodies were covered in wounds.
"Croconaw!"
The six Croconaws were in distress, they glared at Jenny and Qeen while coming before Feraligatrs.
"Qeen, handle them."
Said Jenny. Qeen smirked and then walked towards the Croconaws. Hydreigon flew behind Qeen and eyed the six Croconaws.
"Haha! What will you do now? Bite me? Hehe."
Qeen tried to taunt but these Croconaws didn't react to him in any aggressive way because they knew they wouldn't stand a chance against Hydreigon.
"Cuties, I shall take you all with me!"
The anger had subsided, Jenny put on a kind smiling face before turning towards the baby Totodiles.
But there appeared a seventh Croconaw standing before Totodiles to guard them from the intruders.
It was weak looking, with pale colors and covered in wounds and bruises.
Jenny raised her eyebrow and looked at this small Croconaw, with a mocking tone, she said, "Will you stop me, huh?"
"Cro~conaw!"
Even though tears were rolling down its eyes, it didn't back away and defended the Totodiles who were its brothers and sisters.
"Toto~dile…"
These baby Totodiles were too frightened and shrank behind Croconaw's back.
Stomp!
Torterra stepped before the tiny Croconaw, its huge head lowered and stared straight in Croconaw's eyes.
"Tor~terra!"
The loud shout from Torterra made Croconaw's legs tremble. The three Feraligatrs watched with red eyes while the Croconaws were shocked and also stunned.
The most cowardly and timid of all, was being the bravest and courageous.
If this wasn't surprising, then these Croconaws didn't know what could surprise them anymore.
"Croconaw!"
Suddenly, Croconaw closed its eyes and used Scratch on Torterra's face.
Six deep red lines formed on Torterra's face. The burning sensation brought Torterra back to its senses.
"Torterra!"
Boom!
Enraged, Torterra grabbed Croconaw by a vine and slammed it on the nearest tree struck.
"Tor~terra!"
It repeatedly slammed Croconaw on the trunk until the trunk shattered and the tree fell.
"... Cro… conaw!"
Croconaw bit on the vine and tried to free itself but it was too weak and injured.
Its eyes were almost at the verge of blanking out but seeing how scared the baby Totodiles were, it held on.
"Torterra, kill it. I don't want this thing."
Said Jenny. Torterra glared at Croconaw and raised it up in the air. It planned to break all its bones until it died by slamming on the hard ground.
"Croconaw!"
"...Feraligatr!"
"Totodile!"
Seeing Croconaw about to get killed, all Croconaws, Totodiles and Feraligatrs cried out.
"That's what you get for making me angry."
Jenny crossed her arms over her chest and said in a sharp tone. She watched as the vine moved and was about to slam Croconaw on the ground.
As Croconaw saw the ground approaching, it closed its eyes and awaited death.
"Chaa!"
But a red figure flashed and cut the vine before grabbing Croconaw.
"Wha-!"
Jenny didn't even have a chance to speak, a strong knee landed on her side sending her into the bushes.
"Shit!"
Qeen cursed and was just about to command Hydreigon unfortunately another figure appeared before Hydreigon and attacked first.
A beam of blue light hit Hydreigon and ice started forming around it.
While Hydreigon was captured in a thick block of ice, Kota immediately sprinted and kicked Qeen on his face.
Bam!
Qeem fell on the ground just next to the three Feraligatrs. Blood flowed out from his nose and his face had the shoe print.
"Chaa!"
Charizard shot a beam of flames at Torterra and burnt its shell slightly. Being a grass type, fire did double the normal damage.
"Torterra!"
It roared in pain and anger but Charizard didn't want to give it time to recover so he flew quickly towards it.
Boom!
Iron Tail slammed on Torterra's head knocking it out cold. Its huge body laid on the ground heavily.
"Ahhhhe! My nose! Fuck!"
Screaming on top of his lungs, Qeen held his nose and felt the broken part.
"Who in the hell is it!"
Shouted Jenny. She got up from the bushes and saw her Torterra knocked out while Hydreigon was trapped in ice.
"You!"
She pointed her finger at Kota, her mouth couldn't form a proper sentence to speak due to the frustration.
"I will never forget you!"
She screamed loudly before throwing a small round object on the ground.
Thick white smoke burst out from the pores in this object and covered the entire area.
"Cough! Cough!"
Until the smoke went away, nothing could be seen. Jenny and Qeen had escaped with their pokemon.
Even Ariya couldn't find them anymore.
"Fuu…"
Exhaled Kota. He looked around and saw wounded Feraligatrs. It was the best moment to catch them without any extra work.
But, he didn't. Kota didn't know why he couldn't catch these pokemon.
He sighed and shook his head. Suicune stepped near the injured and wounded pokemon.
For some reason, the three Feraligatrs didn't find Suicune threatening.
With a glow of halo appearing around them, Suicune used his abilities to heal them.
"Chaa."
Charizard extended his hands before Suicune and showed the weak Croconaw to him.
Suicune smiled and immediately healed Croconaw but couldn't change the fact that it was just weak to begin with.
"Croconaw?"
Amazed, it looked at its own body and found that all the wounds and bruises were healed.
"Cro~conaw!"
It cheered loudly and showed huge gratitude towards Suicune and Charizard, its saviors.
"Chaa."
Charizard chuckled and slowly put Croconaw on the ground. The baby Totodiles rushed and surrounded Croconaw, their eyes shining brightly.
Within a day, Croconaw had turned into a hero for them.
"We are leaving. Come"
Kota called them out. Charizard and Suicune followed behind Kota but not before giving a glance at the pokemon.
"Cro~conaw!"
Kota could hear the shout of Croconaw even after walking a hundred meters away.
"Chaa."
Charizard said in a low voice. Suicune nodded his head slightly then turned to look at Kota's back.
The two didn't know anything about what the next thing Kota would do, but they were happy to be with him.
Rustle!
When Kota, Charizard and Suicune had reached the uneven road between the forest, Suicune caught movement behind some bushes.
He focused his eyes and saw a small portion of the pokemon's head. It was blue in color, and Suicune easily guessed who it was.
He smiled and then his head away.
