Chapter 194: Chu Clan? Bye Bye~
Cross was dragged along to the meal and stood up from the ground before sitting down at the table and eating. Everyone else was standing and Luo Zichuan sat down, then the rest sat down. Cross didn't speak to anyone and nobody spoke to him, he was sitting at a table with Luo Bing, Luo Xue, Luo Qing, Qin Feng, Bai Xiaole, and Xu Zixiong.
The food came and went and Cross went outside for a smoke. Long Chen told the other 3 to go to the Sharpening Ladder and Qin Feng had to get to the 90th step. He told Cross to go as well, Cross looked at the stairs and took a step. The entire staircase trembled and people appeared at the Phenomena.
Long Chen smiled bitterly and Cross continued climbing the stairs while exhaling smoke. The pressure was a joke for him. He continued up until he stepped on the 91st step. He felt the Will of Heaven pressuring him, he snorted and took another step and another, and another until he was at the 98th step.
There was only 99 steps!
Cross looked up at the cracking void above him, he was straight as a pole, not bending even a little bit. He took the last step and stood on the 99th step, he looked up at the sky before turning around and walking down.
Everybody looked at him as if he was a monster and Cross walked away, ignoring the people. One day, he would tear the Heavens apart and make them surrender to him. He laid against a tree and fell asleep.
A while later
Cross was woken up by Long Chen and told "Let's go." Cross got up and said "Fight?" Long Chen said directly "Kill." Cross smiled and said "My favorite." and they both disappeared.
Another while later
Cross, Long Chen, Bai Xiaole, and a bunch of other people appeared outside of the Chu clan territory. Cross looked down at the ground and looked thoughtful, he crouched and touched the ground with his palm.
Long Chen said "Can you get us inside?" Cross nodded and said "Do you want to rush in or sneak in?" Long Chen said "Sneak if possible." Cross looked at the ground and said "Don't panic." the entire group disappeared and Cross said "Take the Spiritual Vein." The Inner World trembled and the spiritual Vein under the Chu clan mountain disappeared. Cross's eyes turned and he passed through the barrier, disappearing into the Chu Clan, before everybody appeared again.
Long Chen said "Wow. That's powerful!" Cross grinned and said "Let's go, yeah?" Long Chen grinned and blew up a specific building with a fire lotus. Cross disappeared into the Chu clan.
He ran through the buildings and silently killed people as he broke into the Treasury and stole everything. After that he ran to the Library and copied all the books before burning the entire building to the ground. He looked up and dashed to a mansion at the back.
He killed the maids, butlers, women, everyone as he ransacked the Patriarch house for everything it had. Weapons, crystals, techniques, books, everything. He entered a back room and found what he was looking for.
It was a giant blood pool in a special structure made of Stone, just like the staircase. He touched the blood pool and it disappeared into the Inner world, leaving the blood to fall to the ground. Now his sect had a blood purifying pool!
He looked around for any hidden treasure but found nothing. He came out and stomped on the ground, the entire mountain was sealed off, nobody was escaping today. He grabbed a child and performed the bloodline burning curse on him. The child and all the other members with the Chu clan bloodline started burning up and screaming in pain as they burned to ashes. Cross ran off to the medicinal herbs farm and pavilion.
He took everything the Chu clan had. Anything worth even a single crystal was taken by him. If the buildings weren't stuck in the ground, he would've taken them too! And to think, it was all because of a single sentence from Chu Kuang's mouth.
Cross slaughtered everyone who survived the burning blood curse. he moved like a ghost, sending one person after the other to hell. He didn't even stop for a single moment. He was owning up to his words, if there's even a single Chu clan member left, he wouldn't stop until they died.
A while later
Cross reappeared near the group to see an old man standing on a furnace. Cross' eye glittered at the furnace and he entered his strongest state while remaining hidden. His scythe was coated in black Qi, his armor came on, a half crown surround the right side of his head, and a blackhole appeared in the upper middle of his back.
Truthfully he looked like a demon. He crouched and grabbed the scythe with both hands. The old man said "Where's Luo Zi-" Cross shot forward extremely fast, he was barely visible and he swung the scythe at the old man's neck.
A barrier appeared but Cross' Qi devoured it and severed the old man's head right off. Cross spun in the air and grabbed the cauldron, sealing it with black Qi, holding it in his hands. He landed on the ground and turned his head to the group.
Luo Changwu jumped in fear and Long Chen smiled as he said "You should try assassination." Cross shook and the armor and scythe went back to a necklace and bracelet. The furnace was trembling but Cross slapped it and it calmed down as he said "Damn material, what are you so arrogant for?"
Suddenly, all the blood rushed to a statue and a blood portal opened. A demon with 2 horns a bone knife and a body wrapped in fire appeared. Then 7 more. And then giant hands tore the void open and a giant mad with large wings and a nice face appeared.
Cross looked up at the man and the man looked at Long Chen before saying "You're Long Chen?" Long Chen nodded and the man/beast looked happy. He sat down and ate one of the 8 demons as he said "No way! I never thought I would see you here! What luck!"
Cross held the furnace and sat down to look at it as the creature talked to Long Chen. Soon after the creature threw a bone blade to Long Chen and left after Long Chen promised to come and drink with the King he saved before. The creature gave him a thumbs up and left.
Cross stood up and pressed his hand on the statue of the Great Brahma, a blackhole sucked all the power of faith and turned it into Cross' strength, he did the same to the statue of Sky Falling Night and sucked all the power of Faith out. The statues were destroyed and collapsed and Cross' cultivation jumped to the 7th level of the 4 Extremes Realm.
He threw the cauldron to Long Chen and they got on a boat to leave. If the others were being honest, they were definitely scared of Cross. This guy was simply a demon, thankfully they heard about the grudge Cross had with the Chu clan from Luo Bing or they would've thought he was a killing demon.
He had to eyes when he killed. If you offended him, man, woman, child, it didn't matter what you were, you were dead. This was the scariest person, because they wouldn't give the others a chance to live. One bad apple rots the rest.
Of course, if you asked Cross he would just shrug and say "Who cares." Truly a strange person.
Long Chen called Cross over and said seriously "You remember Long Aotian?" Cross said "The guy that took your spirit root, blood, and bone when you were a baby?" Long Chen nodded and Cross said "What about him?"
Long Chen said "He was in the Chu clan before, did you see anything different?" Cross shook his head and said "Not even a single thing. He left a long time ago no? If we knew where he was, we would've killed him. Plus I think I know where he went... But you're not going to like it."
Long Chen's face fell as he said "You mean?" Cross nodded and said "Most likely. If I was a rat and had blood and whatever that didn't belong to me and I was scared someone was going to come kill me, I would go to him too. But maybe he went somewhere else. These kinds of people... He probably attracted a phenomena and got arrogant. Maybe he's even looking for you? Or your mother and father."
Long Chen clenched his fists and said coldly "I'm going to make him wish he was never born if he even touches a hair on my parents' heads." Cross added "En. First you have to find them and him, then we can torture him all we want, easy peezy. Activate his Spirit bone, blood, and root and then snatch them and return them to you. Why go through so much trouble to awaken them after, when someone volunteered to do all the work?"
Long Chen grinned and they both chuckled evilly, returning to the Luo clan.
A few days passed
The group returned back to the Academy. Long Chen was told that a friend was there to see him and rushed off, while Cross looked around for his family. He sniffed the air and stepped disappearing from his spot.
He appeared in front of them all and had a bad look on his face. They all looked at him and looked down, he sighed and grabbed the air. They all floated up and he flew away with the group of people following him from behind.
They arrived at his cave and he walked inside, sitting at the head of a long table. They all sat down and Cross said "This time... I'm not upset." everyone looked at him and Cross added "Maybe, I'm too selfish and I'm restraining you here. With me around, you'll always have a crutch to lean on. Even if the sky collapses you know that I'll hold it up, so you subconsciously take it easy."
He looked at them all and said "I'm surprised you all went to the Samsara Region. And it made me think. Maybe I should've agreed to the Dragon to send you where you were suitable. Like this I worry about you but at least you become strong on your own. Which of you can honestly say that I haven't helped you get to where you are right now?"
The entire group was silent and Cross shook his head saying "It's enough." he threw a bunch of fruits on the table and said "Eat one. All of you. Luna, make a list of what everyone excels in, their absolute best trait and strength, like wind, fire, assassination, music, formation, forging, etc. Xue'er come here."
Xue'er walked over nervously and Cross tapped on her forehead, giving her all the alchemy knowledge he got from Long Chen and what he came up with from all the books he's read as well anything related to fire. He said "Jie Yuan." Jie Yuan walked over and he tapped on her forehead and gave her everything he knew about music and then handed her a storage ring full of instruments he created.
He got up and left, having made a decision in his heart. It was tough but he wasn't going to back down from it. He was going to ruthlessly kick the crutch out from under them and let them go on their own.
Within reason of course. He wasn't going to let them loose in the wild, he was going to go around the World and drop them off at the places that suited them the best.
A while later
He sat outside the cave and looked out to the sect, feeling depressed. Suddenly, warm and beautiful arms wrapped around his neck from behind. Luna kissed his cheek and said "Are you sure about this baby?" Cross nodded and said "If not? Are you just going to sit under my umbrella all your lives? I'm not strong enough..."
He clenched his fist tightly, maybe out of all his lovers, Luna was the only one who could see his true emotions at a glance. Luna sat next to him and intertwined her fingers with his as she leaned her head on his shoulder and said "It's us who aren't strong enough. We're the ones holding you back, don't deny it. I know."
Cross said "If I was stronger I could-" Luna cut him off saying "Even if you were the strongest in the world, would you stop worrying about us?" Cross shook his head and sighed, Luna smiled softly and said "If it will be for a brighter future, I will bear with it and endure. All I want is to live peacefully with you."
Cross kissed her hand and said "Me too, Luna. Me too." Luna didn't speak anymore and they sat in silence, looking out of the mountain at the scenery.
