Chapter 2: °FUDGE MY LIFE°

All my life I have always prayed and wished for a better life for me and my family, every night I go to bed with one wish in mind...

I wish I was born rich.

I woke up to the buzzing sound of my annoying alarm clock by my bedside.

"Okay time to go to hell," (hell was my other name for school) I said while removing my warm covers.

"C'mon"I muttered under my breath as I tried to kill the my make-shift alarm clock.

"Just-just shut up already" I said as I Wrestled my poor alarm clock.

"Casey!!"my older brother,Ryan screamed from the next room. We had been living in this little house for years now and it was starting to grow....well old? Can a house grow old? Well you know what I mean.....so the walls are quite thin.

"Well don't blame me! It's this stupid clock!" I screamed back.

My little sister Zoe walked in my room, adjusted her tiny glasses, snatched the alarm clock from me and did something and suddenly the noise stopped.

"Hey how do you always do that? Please tell me, please oh please" I hit my own little sister with puppy eyes.

"Nope,I'm still not telling"she adjusted her glasses again, and started walking out.

"You're 8years old for Pete's sake, how do you do and know these things and i  don't" I yelled at her retreating little figure.

"Casey you're getting late for school, you need to catch the bus and you know that"my mom yelled.

"Oh well"I sighed.

I ran to the only bathroom in the house hoping, just praying that Ryan didn't beat me to it. But my life always had to give me the opposite of what I wanted didn't it?

I waited for minutes, the time currently being 7:45.... school starts at 8:30 being so poor,my family and I couldn't find accommodation cheap enough so our house wasn't close to anywhere, the mall,my school, the movies, our house was rather off and far.

I had to walk, most times run to the bus stop which was an hour walk and the school bus would drive for another 30minutes so basically my house was more than an hour away from my school.

I know it doesn't seem far but it is. I was surely going to be late as always.

Back to the now....

Immediately Ryan came out of the bathroom I shoved him out of the way and jumped in like a girl who just heard free WiFi was in the bathroom, what? Who doesn't like free WiFi?

I had previously carried my clothes into the bathroom.

Showered, brushed and applied little pink gloss which I had been saving  and keeping preciously,I do not joke with my make up stuff as little as they are.

I wore my worn out looking blue jeans which I had shredded at the knee area, to make them look like crazy jeans whereas, they got so worn out and had holes so I had to improvise. It was a Monday so I decided to go with a white top which had a collar,it was one of my best shirts. I slipped on my black flats exited the bathroom and hung my black bag loosely on my shoulders.

"Casey you should eat something"my mom said worriedly as she looked at me sadly."I mean you look like a bony fish" she continued

"Haha very funny"I grabbed a slice of bread slapped it with peanut butter and shoved it in my face.

"See, look I'm eating,"I said through a mouthful.

"You're so so classless casseopia."

"You don't have to remind me mom," I rolled my eyes.

"I named you casseopia because I thought it sounded classy,I didn't want you to be like me,but apparently it seems we're just not meant to be those kind of people."

"Mom, don't say that please."

"Fine fine don't worry you're getting late you have to go to school now

"Yh I know but are you okay?"

"I am now remember what I always tell you"

"I know I know a poor person always has his dignity and respect and kindness and Blah blah blah blah and that is nothing compared to riches" I said while rolling my eyes the whole time.

"Bye honey."

I dashed out the door and ran as fast as I could.

"Yes! I made it" I said as I arrived at the bus stop sweating like hell, I had never been more happy to see a yellow bus with black stripes at the side appear in front of me.

I hunched over trying to catch my breath.

"Okay miss cartez get in the bus I will not hesitate to leave you at this bus stop alright let's get moving come on!". Miss crabgrass yelled from the bus.

Why does everyone in my life have to yell at me so much?

"Yes ma'am" I said as I stepped into the bus.

Miss crabgrass didn't even wait for me to find a seat she just zoomed off like I didn't exist.

"Hey!".

"You better find a seat miss cartez." I could almost hear the evil smirk in her voice and right on top of the smirk,a black mole.

I tried to find a seat but everyone kept ignoring me or blocking me from sitting beside them. The bus hit a bump, I tripped and fell on Jason the head of the football team.

"Oh I'm so sorry"I mumbled with wide eyes staring into his twinkling light blue eyes, the sun paying special attention to his blondish bronze hair.

"Yh it's fine but could you get of off me? You're sweaty and I don't think I want your sweat all over me" he smiled awkwardly.

Why was he being so nice? I know his words aren't exactly the nicest but I seriously expected something worse or aggressive I guess.

"Oh oh sorry again," all I could do was apologise as I regained balance and left to find a seat at the back.

"Finally." I breathed as I plopped down on a seat at the back but then suddenly the bus stopped and I realized we had gotten to school already.

Now I was going to start the day with my shirt drenched in sweat,my face flushed and my curly hair looking like a crow's nest.

*Sigh* fudge my life.
