Chapter 24: Chapter 24

When you got home and logged into Eden, the first thing you thought of, was that something like yesterday could happen again, so getting your hands on a few more skill programs would be a big help.

And you'd been meaning to get your hands on the Visualizer skill for a while now. Not only could the night vision and thermal vision parts help you track digimon, but the part that allowed you to see data would let you know if anyone was using the Stealth skill near you.

So off to the Black Market it was for you. A place you weren't really too fond of. Last time you went, one of the guys there had been very aggressive in an attempt to buy Black Agumon off of you.

You'd ended up punching him and threatening to kill him if he didn't fuck off.

Stepping out of the teleporter, you withheld a grimace as you took the area in. Oddly, there were fewer people than you expected. A few skill salesmen you recognised from buying your skills, and only two guys set up for selling digimon, one with a cage full of rookie's, while the other had three in a much larger cage, and all were champion's.

The rookie's didn't really appeal to you, except the one Salamon because cute, right? The champion's did draw your eye though, well two of them.

The Peckmon wasn't really your things. But the Devimon and Geogreymon in with it looked pretty damn powerful. Looked expensive as hell though.

Ignoring the digimon sellers for now, you made your way over to the salesmen and got the Visualizer skill quite cheap at only fifty thousand yen and then asked if they had any cache's of chrome digizoid.

Sometimes specific items from the digital world could be found in the data cache's that appeared in Kowloon. But apparently they were sold out. Too bad, getting the data of chrome digizoid would be a big help in digivolving Black Greymon down the line, since you know from the lore that Greymon hit Metal Greymon from installing metal into itself and becoming part cyborg.

Digivolving from champion to ultimate usually came with a few things your digimon needed to do before they hit the requirements needed to digivolve. And you'd heard rumours that loading the data of chrome digizoid would fill most of them for Metal Greymon.

"So, why is it so quiet here today?" you asked the salesman before you left.

He tipped his cap up a bit and blinked his eyes, "You haven't heard?" he asked, mouth dropping open a bit almost like he was shocked before he shook his head, "Apparently there was a massive influx of eater's in all levels of Kowloon today, Zaxxon is being run ragged, it's at the point where they've sent out a general message for everyone to stay out of even Kowloon level 1, because they're so busy in the deeper flowers they haven't even got around to clearing that one out yet, being so focused on the deeper levels."

Seriously? Just one passing through brought that insanely strong Guardromon into Kowloon level 1, and now every floor had basically been hit?

Actually, thinking on it, Kowloon Level 1 is probably filled with digimon right now thanks to the Eater, you wouldn't mind getting that bitching ass amount of data for your digimon to make them even stronger.

You definitely wanted to power up your digimon some more. Getting some Ultimate levels would mean nobody would willingly mess with you. Well, almost nobody. But still, you liked the thought of that power at your fingertips.

After leaving the black market and inputting the URL for Kowloon level 1, you were immediately greeted by the sounds of battle as soon as you left the entrance teleporter.

Roars and shouts reverberated throughout the area, and despite it fight being at least a good two hundred feet away, you could still feel the ground shaking.

Looks like there was a massive fight going on, possibly multiple champions.

Well first things first, you released Black Greymon, Gatomon and Devidramon. Keeping Garurumon in reserve for if you needed to jump on him and book it out of there.

"A fight already?" Devidramon groused.

Black Greymon punched his clawed hands together, "And by the sounds of it, they seem strong!" he cheered excitedly.

Gatomon herself hopped up on to your shoulder, her new perch that she'd claimed last night when out so she could protect you better, her words not yours.

Like you need protection. You're badass.

And to punctuate that point, you loaded your new gauntlets up over your arms.

"Right team!" you can't call them boys anymore with a girl on the squad after all, "We're going to go in there fists blazing and show off the epicness of our go to battle formation!"

"We have a battle formation?" Gatomon asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

Devidramon sighed, "He means we're going to get near invisible and attack them from behind like cowards and the gloat about how strong we are."

"Yeah!" Black Greymon cheered. He liked to fight and didn't care what type of fight it was, whether that be ambushing opponents or taking them head on.

"You act like you don't like doing it." you chuckled.

"I never said that," Devidramon sniffed, "It's much more smart and pragmatic than you just attacking them head on and risk getting hurt like a fool."

"There's the Devidramon I know!" you laughed.

And like you said, you activated your Stealth skill. And your Visualizer skill just in case, and then you lead on, a cute white cat on your shoulder and two giant monsters following behind you obediently.

Seeing thermal energy was actually pretty awesome. And it told you ahead of things just what you were up against even through the walls once you got close enough.

You recognized a Greymon, though weren't sure what kind. And there was an Ogremon to its side. They both seemed to be facing off against something you couldn't quite make out though.

Some massive thing that towered above even the Greymon who was a match for your own in height. It was like some kind of amorphous blob.

Well whatever.

Turning off the thermal imaging for now, you made your way into the area they were fighting in.

The blob it turned out,was actually a freaking Raremon. And now that you were close you had to hold your nose because my god did it stink like fuck. Like rotten eggs, mixed with chilli filled shit and a dash of rotting corpse for a bit of spice

First things first though..again. Using your digivice, you used the Copy and Paste skill you designed and copied Ogremon's bone club.

Then you pointed at the large ogre digimon standing closest to you, a Black Greymon at its side as they faced off against the giant Raremon.

"Gatomon, take it out will you?" you ordered.

"Consider it done." Gatomon agreed with a nod.

She jumped off your shoulder and landed on the ground, before blasting forward so quickly she left your sight.

The stealth wore off around her instantly, "Lightning Paw!" the white cat digimon shouted as she blitzed into view beside Ogremon in an instant and outright ploghed her fist right through its stomach.

Ogremon gave a kind of choking cough mixed with a scream, before bursting into a small lake of green data particles.
