at the end of the day, all of them passed the first part of the exam. The next day the candidates gathered outside the Forest of Death.
Anko briefs the candidates on their objectives for the second portion of the Chunni Exams. The test is structured such that at least half the teams will be eliminated. Before entering the Forest of Death, all teams will be given either a heaven or an earth scroll. Once inside the forest, the genin must take the other scroll from another team. Only those that make it to the tower in the center of the forest with both scrolls will advance to the next stage of the exams. Anko hands out the scrolls and opens the forest gates.
Karin's team had gotten the earth scroll. They entered the forest.
"can you track them" haku asked Karin
"yeah I can feel the traces of their chakra" she says
they had already decided on the team they were going after, thanks to sai using his ability to scout out the scrolls of the other teams.
following their trail, they quickly caught up to the other team.it didn't take long for them to get the scroll from them.
"with this we will be able to pass no problem" said haku
"we should move towards the tower" Karin said
agreeing to that, they moved towards the tower but were stopped by Karin
" l can feel Naruto fight something" she says
"isn't it normal for him to fight" sai asked confusedly
"no what he is fighting is different. not only him but Sasuke as well"
"we should go help them" haku said
nodding they dashed off to where Naruto was, only to see him fighting a huge snake with a thousand clones

on the other side, Sasuke was currently facing the female ninja for kusa who was Orochimaru in disguise
the disguised Orochimaru subjected Sasuke to his Killing Intent. but to his surprise the youth was still able to move even after experiencing his killing intent.
"hoo!!! you can still move?" he asked
but Sasuke didn't answer he quickly grabbed Sakura who was paralyzed and tried to run away
"this guy is bad news he feels like Ryu nii when we sparred. no, he is more than that.'
"leaving already?" Orochimaru says as he begins to chase him.
Sasuke ran with all his might but the person chasing him caught up easily.
as he was about to grab Sasuke, he was forced to move away as ice senbons stabbed the place he was
looking around, he sees Naruto and Karin team have arrived.
When they arrived, Sasuke explained the current situation.
So that's Orochimaru, one of the "Legendary Sannin", Karin says.
"And it seems he is after Sasuke", she added.
"Ho!! what do we have here? An Uzumaki and an ice user from the Yuki clan",
Orochimaru says as he looks at both Karin and Haku while saying
"Interesting bloodlines you both have, but I only came for him".
"There's no way will let you take Sasuke", Naruto shouts at him.
"So, you plan to stop me?", Orochimaru says amusedly.
Sasuke, Naruto and Haku charge in to fight Orochimaru. The others focused on support using long distance Jutsus. Karin, using her chains, tried to restrict his movement.
Orochimaru swiftly moves around, easily dodging her chains. Naruto and Sasuke had leapt forward to meet Orochimaru, head-on. They engaged in a furious bout of Taijutsu, with Orochimaru easily handling them both at the same time. Orochimaru noted that their fighting styles were good and the Sasuke was doing far too well.
Punches and kicks were being blocked quite easily by Orochimaru. Naruto and Sasuke were giving it their all, while Orochimaru seemed totally unfazed by their attacks. They were landing hits, but they were barely afflicting any damage. Naruto charged two kunai with wind chakra, increasing his reach.
They were forced to duck when snakes erupted from the Sannin's sleeves. They quickly moved away, and as he was about to chase them, he was met with an ink-like Lion beast charging at him, causing Orochimaru's eyes to widen.
This forced Orochimaru to retreat; turning around, he sees four ice mirrors behind him shooting out a barrage of ice senbons.
Before the attacks reach him, he jumps up dodging it. As he was in the air, Karin uses her chains to block his path. Not missing this chance, Sasuke uses a `Great Fire Ball Technique`, while Naruto pushes more with the `Wind Style: Great Breakthrough`, making it more powerful.
Orochimaru watched with wide eyes as the utterly humungous fireball headed towards him. The flames barreled into him, burning his skin off.
"Got him!" Naruto exclaimed, but his eyes widened when Orochimaru's body turned brown and crumbled into mud.
"That was some great teamwork there", Orochimaru chuckled, watching the Genins look at him in surprise as he reappears.
"It's seems it is really not easy defeating a Sannin", Karin says as she narrows her eyes.
"It will take much more than that to take me down", Orochimaru said.
"Then we will just hit you till you do", Naruto shouted. Following which, he crosses his fingers and shouts: `Multi Shadow Clone Technique`, making a thousand clones charging at Orochimaru.
"As expected of the Nine Tails Jinchuriki. Only a person like you can make these many clones without running out of chakra", Orochimaru says.
The Naruto's moved in their massive amount to overpower Orochimaru.
The latter seems unfazed by the army of clones as he makes some hand seals: `Formation of Ten Thousand Snakes`, opening his mouth as snakes began to crawl out in large numbers.
The snakes begin clash with Naruto's clones as the former gains the upper hand due to the clones being out numbered ten to one. Taking their positions, the others get ready to continue attacking as they see the clones losing.
`Hiding in Mist Technique`. Haku exhales a large amount of mist that covers the area making it hard for their presence to be felt. They all charge in, but were caught by Orochimaru's snakes, binding them.
"Did you really think that this level of attack can affect me?"
"No, we didn't", Karin says with a smirk on her face as she and the others turned into smoke.
Orochimaru's eyes widened, "Clones?". As he moved, a large explosion erupted around him.
Naruto, Sasuke and the others watched as the explosion engulfed Orochimaru. The explosion was so strong that it tore apart the area where blast occurred.
It was the trap that Karin set-up with the help of Sakura as Orochimaru was preoccupied with Naruto's clones, planting large amounts explosion seals and using the mist to escape while some of the clones transform into them.
Sasuke fell to his knees, trying to catch his breath. He had never spent so much chakra at once. Looking up, he saw Naruto intently staring at the place where the Jutsu had hit.
"Did we... get him?", Sai asked, between deep breaths.
"It certainly looks like it," Karin muttered, trying to see with her senses if they indeed got him. Turning to the others, "It doesn't matter if we got him or not. We have a chance to run-".
That was all she could say when something pink, wet and slimy wrapped around her. She was dragged away as it slammed her into a tree, making her unconscious.
"Karin!", Naruto screams as he sees her get dragged away.
"Guess I have to take you a bit serious".
Turning, he came face-to-face with Orochimaru, who had not a single scratch on him - only his clothes were a bit burnt. He had a smirk on his face as he brought up a hand, five purple kanji lighting up on his fingertips. "That's enough out of you, Naruto-kun."
`Five Elemental Seal`, His arm shot to make contact with Naruto's seal.
Naruto was overwhelmed with pain, setting his nerve endings on fire. It was such an unmatched agony that his vision blackened, he couldn't even scream in pain then he was suddenly unconscious. The last thing he saw before losing consciousness was Orochimaru throwing him to the ground.
