Chapter 24: Reconciliation
Ok, so a reader gave me this wonderful idea that since The MC kinda absorbed the darkness of Shadow Monarch, he now has the power of darkness as well as shadows.
originally I wanted to give him the best affinity in the darkness element (elemental mastery has nothing to do with affinity, it just means his mastery over the element), but since I got this amazing idea, I wanted to take your advice.
(Refer to chapter 14 who don't remember when this happened.)
Should I give him powers of Shadow Monarch?

"Ok… this isn't going anywhere." Lilith said with a sigh and sat down on her comfy bed.
Yuuji watched her actions but continued standing, he put his hand in his pockets and asked: "So…? What do you want to do now?"
"Just return for now" She said while looking at her hands, she clenched her hands into fists and spoke with determination: "If you still can't trust me, then it just means that I haven't put enough effort yet."
Yuuji listened to her and felt slightly guilty for some reason, it sounded like he was the one who was not comprising here.
He sighed audibly and spoke: "Lilith, I do appreciate your help, I am extremely grateful for what you have done. You helped me escape that hellhole and helped me travel to the world I am in right now. I can't thank you enough for that."
Lilith smiled and waved her hand in a nonchalant manner: "That is the least I can do for my partner."
Yuuji raised his eyebrow and asked: "Now that you have said it, can you please explain what is a soul partner?"
"Haven't I already?"
"No"
"Oh, my bad." She said while playing with her hair.
She coughed to regain her composure and stood up, she walked up to him and put her hand on his shoulder: "I put my mark on you when we were having sex, it is on your shoulder."
Yuuji nodded his head and started taking off his shirt and vest…
Meanwhile, Lilith continued her explanation: "Being soul partners means that we are bound to each other at spiritual level, it also sometimes helps to feel the emotion of each other."
"Oh!? That is quite interesting."
"It is, but it's only possible if one of us feels intense emotion in a short time, it won't be active everytime."
Yuuji finally took off his upper clothes and stood bare chested, his fingers traced his shoulder as his eyes landed on the strange tattoo on his shoulder blade.
The tattoo consisted of strange sabers bent at an unnatural level colliding with each other.
"What is that?" He exclaimed with a stunned expression.
To be honest, this looked rather cool.
How didn't I see this when bathing?
"This is the soul mark, it proves that you are my soul partner, I also have it at the same place. You want to see?~"
She said and started to slowly pull down her dress little by little.
Yuuji deadpanned at her actions,
You think this type of seduction will work on me?
Girl, I am already immune to these type of lame seduction efforts, if you really wanted me to lose control, then you gotta think out of the box.
Not getting the reaction she wanted from him, she cutely pouted and showed her own soul mark.
It consisted of three rose petals. Compared to Yuuji's mark, this one looked more befitting for a noble lady with how graceful it looked. Yuuji's mark was more of a warrior.
Yuuji couldn't help but feel even more curious after seeing that "Shouldn't the soul mark be same for both of us?"
"Why?" She asked with a genuine questioning look.
"Well…. I mean… isn't that how it's supposed to be…" He said rather awkwardly "No?… Fine, I guess it's just me."
He shrugged his shoulders at the end and gave up.
Lilith also didn't press on the matter and continued with adjusting her dress while Yuuji wore his uniform again.
Finishing that Lilith turned towards him and hummed "So, I think it's time for you to go back." Even though she tried to not sound like it, but she still couldn't completely conceal the disappointment and sadness in her voice.
Even though all they did was to argue with each other, they still spent time together, The only regret Lilith had was that she couldn't go to that world with him.
Due to being a big figure in the Multiverse, she was constantly being watched by the leaders of other universes. For now, no one knows about her relationship with Yuuji since she was especially discreet.
She didn't mind exposing her relationship with him, but that could result in someone holding him as a hostage against her. She could absolutely not let that happen.
The demon palace in which she was living was resistant from spying, therefore No one could feel Yuuji's presence with her.
Her personal servants were all absolutely loyal to herself, she really made that sure when recruiting them.
"Ok, I am ready." Yuuji informed as he finished dressing up.
Lilith raised her hand rather reluctantly, she looked at him with those large teary eyes, giving him that cute and pitiful look.
Yuuji felt his resistance crumbling down looking at her.
Dammit! Is that your out of box thinking?
Fine! You got me there.
"Would you leave just like that?" She asked with a sad voice.
Even though she could teleport him back here at her palace anytime, she didn't wanted to disturb him too much. Not to mention, she heard that some men don't like girls to be too clingy.
Yuuji closed on to her and embraced her whole body. His hand caressed her silky hair while the other one pulled her closer.
Lilith let out a surprised yelp, but feeling the warmth and his gentle touch, she had to admit that this was a pleasant surprise.
She looked up from his chest and stared into his eyes…
He cupped her soft cheek and placed his lips over hers.
Unlike the passionate Kiss they had at that night, this one was soft and gentle.
Lilith closed her eyes and relished herself on the joy of being kissed by him.
There was no aggressiveness, no tongue involved…
But this was still enough to brighten up Lilith's mood.
Yuuji pulled back from the kiss first but didn't free her from his embrace.
In reality, after everything she had done in his favor, he also had started having feelings for her, but there was only one wall that was in his way.
Lack of trust.
It is extremely fundamental to have trust on your lover in a relationship, this is something Yuuji didn't had in large amount.
He couldn't help but think that it would have been perfect if he didn't had trust issues.
As much as Lilith didn't wanted to separate from him ever, she still knew that it is important for him to go back, she wasn't too disheartened anymore since she got what she hoped for.
Still in his arms, she put a hand on his chest and whispered: "Good luck"
Yuuji listened to her and smiled a little, his body faded from the sight leaving a happily smiling Lilith alone in the room.
She traced her lips lightly and reminisced the feeling of being kissed by him.

On the rooftop of the Fujimi academy, a Teenager suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Luckily, there was no one to experience this strange phenomena.
Kazami Yuuji looked around and confirmed his surroundings after being teleported back.
The feeling of being teleported was like you know something in theory but can't put it in practice.
After being master of elements for some times, his body remembered the feeling of space laws. He understood what was going during the travel but couldn't do the same.
He came to a conclusion that this was the type of talent Lilith was talking about. He could feel the space laws even when he hasn't practiced his Mana at all. This in itself was a mind blowing achievement.
He pushed these thoughts at the back of his mind for now and descended the stairs.
While climbing down the stairs he came across the abandoned floor like he would call it.
This floor literally consisted only of a storage room, a separate room where sports equipment were placed and a chemistry lab which no one visited except for the teacher sometimes.
He heard the door slid and two people striding out of the room…
Looking closely he recognized the female as Miku Yuuki and some unrecognizable random male.
She also spotted Yuuji almost immediately, her face morphed for a second before her expression turned into a mocking one.
"Well, if it isn't the rude guy from the class."
The boy beside her also looked at Yuuji and sneered: "Huh? You know this guy?" He glared at Yuuji.
Well, the handsome guys are usually hated, I guess.
"Unfortunately, I invited him today before you, but he insulted me instead." She said in a wronged voice as if she did a noble work and Yuuji interrupted her.
"What‽ So you invited him!" The anger was visible on The boy's face… who would want to be the second choice?
Yuuji gazed at them like he was looking at idiots: "Huh? And your point?"
The guy with Miku seemed to have a idea, he got behind her and put his hand around her waist pulling her body to grind his crotch. Using his other hand he grabbed a handful of her breast with a mocking smile: "You think you are some big shit just because you got some looks? You didn't even know what you missed out on."
Saying this, he started fondling her breasts while she started his grinding her ass on his crotch while moaning lowly.
"Tsk. Truly a piece a scum." He said looking like he was seeing a price of filth.
"What did you-" She shouted in hysterically.
"You know, Sluts like you are like bowling balls, they get picked up, get fingered and thrown down the alley and still come back for more." Yuuji commented with a disgusted expression.
Her body started trembling with rage as she grouted her teeth. The boy beside her saw her like this and tried to be a cool "Dont Worry, Yuki-san. I will show this bastard his place."
He ran up to Yuuji with his fist clenched and reeled back while Yuuji just watched them both with a bored expression.
He easily dodged the punch with sidestepping and kneed the guy right into the abdominal area.
He released a silent shout as the air broke out from his lungs, he kneeled down on the floor while coughing heavily.
Yuuji looked down at the guy at his feet and delivered and kick into his stomach.
Looking up Yuuji saw Miku who was about to blow up, Not wanting to be bothered again by her, he shrugged and continued moving downstairs with his hands in his pockets.
"You!!… You!!!" Miku Yuuki's body shook uncontrollably as she saw the guy sprawled on the ground and the departing back of Yuuji.

Kazami Yuuji stomped back to his own classroom to find that he wasn't too late, after giving the teacher excuse that he forgot his way since it was his first day, he was able to get into the class.
To call it boring would be an understatement, he spent most of his time sleeping at the back.
When the classes ended, he went to the boy's dorm for registration…
Apparently, this was a pretty big school and only the 1st years have to share their room with someone else.
Being in the 2nd year, he was able to get a personal room for which he was quite thankful for, since he has never shared his room with anyone aside from girls sometimes.
After that, there was this question of joining a club, which was mandatory for 2nd years.
This gave him quite a headache since he didn't wanted to waste his time anymore than he was currently doing so by attending classes.
By the way, this was the list of all the clubs in the academy:
- Football club
- Chess club
- Kendo club
- Sojutsu Club
- Cooking club
- gymnastic club
- Reporter's club
- Photography club
And so on.
Looking over the list, he noticed the Kendo club immediately.
By choosing Kendo club, he could easily practice his own swordsmanship, like Lilith said, he only had to practice the skill he had again.
This was time efficient as well as useful for him too.
He also noticed the Sojutsu Club, but….
He wasn't really interested in the art of Spear, neither did he had talent in that, so it was logically more appropriate to spend time in Kendo club.
Not to mention... he was quite looking forward to meet her in person…
