Chapter 58: Ch. 57 Ninja Blue Lock
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!?!" Magnus and Galileo exclaimed at the exact same time startling everyone else on board. In the capital they hadn't even landed the ship yet when they each received the biggest system missions they've had in a while. Needless to say, neither of them were too excited about the terms of it.
For Magnus- Take the next year to rest- No training or management of any business operations. Delegate the work to someone else and take the last chance to be a kid before it is too late. Bonus challenge: No use of heavenly magics, ocular powers beyond rinnegan, and clones for menial tasks. (You will stunt your own growth overworking yourself…don't be a hypocrite.)
For Galileo- One year extreme training- Make the most of training with Madara. Block off all distractions to increase productivity. No outside contact with others, all energies will be reduced to half power and capacity, eat a strict specially prepared diet, and no use of the system or modern technology. Bonus: Complete additional Muay Boran master training regimen. (Being second best is still a loser. You won't get another chance like this to catch up so don't waste it.)

"What's wrong!?" -Asta
"Did something happen!?" -Lumiette
Everyone crowded around them expecting the worst.
"These conditions…" Magnus fell to his knees dramatically.
"Conditions? What conditions!?" -Morgiana
"…How can anyone live like that?" Galileo continued trembling with frustration.
"What's going on you two?!" -Noelle
"I'LL DIE OF BOREDOM!" They shouted in unison.
"But we must have those rewards, and who knows what those bonuses hold for us!"
"No way we can miss em'! One year ain't too bad for that."
"We have to do everything perfectly for this mission! Failure is not an option!"
"HELL YEAH! WE GOT THIS!"
"LET'S DO IT!"
Magnus and Galileo hyped each other up and jumped overboard yelling 'one year'.
"Where are they off to in such a hurry?" -Velgrynd
"Beats me." -Leopold
"Those two are idiots, so who can tell?" -Yuno

"Alright you guys, after this week I'm going to have to cut your hours" Magnus addressed a few of his clones.
"We know. That mission is pretty important, so do what you have to do."
"Yeah, unlock nen for us!"
"And a quirk!"
"Glad we're all on the same page. Clone one, you're on restructuring business management. Clone A, you are in charge of training the king's men. As for you clone Alpha, you have the important task of finding us some entertaining things to do over the next year. Chef Magnus cook your heart out, I'm going to miss you most of all. If any of you need help just let me know." They all laughed. Help? Who needs that? "Everyone clear on their duties?"
"Yes!"
"Now go you handsome beasts." The Magnus clones dispersed to do the various things Magnus needed finished immediately. "Alright Gali should be done turning in his report about now."

"And then she made all the demons explode across the city. Most of heart's capital was leveled by that but it gave her a chance to make her escape. And that was it. The hollowfied fishmen weren't able to be cured in the end so we had to finish em, and Jinbe held a service for them shortly before making the deal with the heart queen. The fishmen are now guardians of heart kingdom, and unofficial citizens while they investigate the other warlords. After that, we helped rebuild some and set up the second guild hall, which Yomi is heading, then came home."
"I see it's all here in the report. Lumiette is very thorough as usual…" Marx stated reading through some paperwork. The king and captains were expected to arrive in the capital later in the evening, so he handled Galileo's unusually early report.
"I wrote that report!"
"Right…(that would explain the sloppy handwriting and spelling errors.) Is there anything else?"
"Oh I also got noble status over there! You're looking at Galileo Vermillion prince of Clover and Duke of Heart!"
"Are you really ok with that?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Unlike in Clover where you are the third child of a royal family and people have learned to not expect much of you, your noble status will actually hold meaning in Heart. Your actions will have a major effect on Heart/Clover relations and you'll have much more duties now on both sides."
"Soooo I can't just go vacationing there?"
"No…that's not how it works. If anything you'll be working harder over there."
"DAMMIT!" Galileo facepalmed.

Later that day the king was pleasantly surprised to see Magnus had everything ready on arrival. A new temporary facility had been built to quickly weed out and train an elite crack troop of guard ninja. Beautiful maidens escorted him, to a lavish private section overlooking an empty stage. About three hundred teenage boys of varying ages stood in front of the stage waiting for something to happen. After being settled in the king wasn't even given a chance to complain about anything, everything he could think of had already been provided and just as he was going to rush things Magnus appeared center stage.
Standing in front of the masses Magnus did not look much like Magnus. He had his long silky hair cut into a short bowl and he had thick glasses on. Wearing slacks and a white dress shirt and bolo tie, Magnus looked like he belonged being overworked in modern office instead of training ninja. True to his character there were heavy bags under his eyes and he looked as if he's lost a bit of weight like he'd been working nonstop on this project for days. "Greetings you lumps of coal, I'm sure you know who I am." He sounded as tired as he looked, his voice was low and raspy. You're all here because you think you have what it takes to defend our precious king from danger. I'm here to tell you have a better chance at holding the sun in your hands." Magnus paused as they began to murmur amongst themselves.
"If that's the case then isn't it impossible?! No one can hold the sun in their hands!" One of the candidates exclaimed and few agreed with him. "Why even set the bar so high why when you-" He was stunned to silence to see a small sun floating in Magnus' hand.
"Understand this you worthless trash. Under the right conditions anything is possible, even holding the sun. Here catch." He tosses the miniature ball of fire at the crowd and all clear out the way. One boy stood bold and caught it with both hands. His hands immediately began to burn and he was forced to his knees under its weight but the boy held on with all he had. "Good catch, what's your name kid."
"I-I am Luminate Kira- Clover, son of Augustus Kira Clover XIII! I swear here and now I will pass all your tests, become an elite ninja and make my father proud!" The boy spoke loud and clear despite handling the greatest strain of his life.
"(Did he really just…) SHUT UP YOU STUPID BOY! He didn't ask you anything about me! Just focus on passing the trails!" The king roared from above.
"(Ooooooh a bastard child? Interesting dynamic we have here.)" Magnus giggled to himself before continuing his speech. "Luminate has just demonstrated the first and most important step to achieving your goals. Courage. As a ninja one must be prepared to give everything for the sake of the mission, including their life. You shit's aren't just training to become ninja here, but to become bodyguards to the king. If you can't sacrifice everything you are for his sake, get the fuck out now. I have no need for cowards, so don't waste my time and yours." Everyone paused and looked around to see who would leave first, but none moved. "Any takers? No? Heheh, good." They could hear heavy doors slam shut behind them. "The lot of you are at least trying to believe that you have a shred of the courage needed to survive here. We'll soon find out who actually has it though. Over the next year I'll break and mangle you in every way I can think of, whilst drilling the way of a ninja into your tiny pea brains. Only a handful of you, will survive this and join the ranks of the most elite ninja I've ever trained. I should also mention that the rest of you nobodies will fade into mediocrity and disappear into the tides of time. I've made arrangements for those who fail here to be barred entry from the ninja academy, Heavenly sword sect, magic knights squads, and adventurer's guild…For life. So don't disappoint."
"What did he just say!?"
"For life!?! He doesn't have the authority to do that! Does he?"
"That's gotta be some cruel joke to motivate us right? Right?"
Many were trying to cope with the last bit of news. Failing here meant you could never become a warrior of Clover in any of it's major institutions. The news rattled them to their very core, however there were a few who never considered failure to begin with. It could be seen on the faces of those who remained calm or got more excited at the thought of such a terrifying trail.
"Your majesty." Magnus looked to the king smugly.
"Ah right, Anything that Magnus says goes. So do your best to impress me!" The king's approval made it all sink in for these new recruits. Failure was not an option here.
"Is it really that terrifying a notion? To fail your king means you've failed your kingdom. You'd be banished or executed if you were lucky, so why should failing your king be tolerated here? I expect nothing but perfection from those who want to be perfect, in turn I will spare no expense to get you there. This facility will crush you lumps of coal under maximum pressure to find out if there are any diamonds among you. This is Ninja Blue Lock, where I will create the best of the best. Once you've changed your diapers enter through those doors and get ready to begin."
"Oh boy this is going to be exciting!" The king was watching happily eating modern snacks. "What is this? It's really good."
