Chapter 3: Ch.3 Origin

The Upper Aether

Recorded Date: Unknown

A slim silhouette could be seen gravitating to a black hole among the stars. The hole however had no violent force attracting things into it. Just a void in the void. The figure, drifting gently into it, and silently passing, no longer seen.

"Daem my friend, how long has it been since I've visited you huh?" Asked the figure as it passed into what one might interpret as a viewing room.

"Clearly not long enough, numerically however, about 100 or so years. You're quite efficient in the domino effect to give yourself power for the least amount of effort." Replied a seated man. Instead of looking at his visitor, the man was peering into a large sphere of light. Seated on a chair that only supported his lower back, resembling a directors chair, large wings could be seen sprouting from where his shoulder blades would be seen. His hair was in a pony tail, while it's texture was tight and curled, seemingly as if it was always wet or oiled.

"Honestly they're just shots in the dark. Plotting is unnecessary when I'd rather be watching the show." The figure chuckled back, walking to stand next to the winged man. As he stood next to him, the seated man finally turned to examine his visitor. The silhouette hadn't come into focus as there was nothing to focus on. It's outline was black, with a soft maroon undertone. A soft glow of the same maroon emanates off of it, and the figure itself is filled with waves of unending movement. Spotted with very small white spots, while everything else remains featureless.

"Isfaos, I'd like to remind you it's rude to refer to the project we've made here as a 'show' when you reap the benefits of it's interactions." The seated man sighed.

"Honestly, sounds like you're the butthurt one. But enough of that, let's make another deal." Isfaos, the silhouette replied, with what one might imagine a smirk to be in it's face.

"Your deals aren't known to be exactly fair, last time-"

"Last time I told you the death of that king would push all of the spirits of the world into improving themselves which they did. Just because the following wars reduced them, doesn't change the fact the overall quality increased. You just didn't like the way it was refined, that's not my problem you didn't consider the consequences." Cutting of the winged man, who know looked annoyed.

"If you want a deal, no war can occur from whatever you plan on making happen." Stated 'Daem' coldly.

"Easy-" A sense of joy could now be sensed from the featureless figure, "I just want to take one of the less refined spirits and preform an experiment."

"Elaborate."

Walking around the glowing sphere, Isfaos began, "I take a spirit from project Earth, to one of our old projects. All of it's memories will remain, and I'll see if his interactions with souls he's not native with reaps me any extra benefits." Stopping on the otherside of the sphere from the seated Daem. "After imprinting him with my mark." Bringing up it's hand and pointing a finger upward, a white speck from its body rushed through the colored waves to the finger, and slowly pushed pass the borders of red and black.

"So let me get this straight." Starting to lean forward, "You want to transfer one of the humans" Daem gestured to the sphere in-between them, "Onto a previous project-" Pointing his thumb behind him where the figure entered from. "For the sole purpose of seeing if it gives you more power?"

"Yes." nodded Isfaos

"You also want it imbued with chaos energy?" Asked Daem, now with an astounded look on his face.

Shaking it's head nonchalantly, "Yes, what I said really wasn't that complicated."

"How is this a deal? What do I gain?" Daem questioned now nearly flabbergasted.

Putting its hands behind its back, Isfaos straightened up, as if a secretary was about to give a report, "Well you see, I've already imbued a spirit with the energy. So I'm gaining benefits either way" Hearing this, Daem stood arubtly from his chair.

"... You WHAT!?!" his voice boomed. With a scowl among his face and flexing his wings, he began approaching the figure. Wind could now be seen in the once calm room.

Seemingly gliding, Isfaos stayed in the same reporting position while making sure to keep the sphere between himself and the winged man approaching. "But, I figured moving him to somewhere already completed would give you less of a headache. Seeing as how you would be the laughing stock for a while after letting me get past you already, we can just make it so it never happened. Plus I'll be out of your hair for a while, win-win right?"

Stopping what might be a meaningless battle of pacing, Daem's wings came down resting closely to his back. Staring fiercely at the apparation across from him. "So are you going to be angry or let me deal with the problem I created before it gets noticed?" Isfaos managed to calmly say without releasing the suppressed humor.

"If I see you anytime in the next 2 centuries after this one of us is going to have to recharge our energies." Threatened the winged man.

"No problem, thanks Daem" replied Isfaos with a chuckle. A light could then be seen separating from the glowing sphere, falling into the voided hand of the figure.

With his voice now filled with cold anger "That's Daemones to you God of Chaos."

"Yes yes all hail Daemones god of spirits, but still don't you think you should change it to God of souls?" Asked the figure plainly.

"LEAVE!" The space began to rumble following the shout of Daemones

"Yeah yeah." The figure waved its hand in dismissal phasing back through the way he came.
