Chapter 612: Whoever Crosses the Line Is a Dog

Li Yuan's heart skipped a beat as he reached out a hand to the poor little thing. "You can sleep in the adjacent room." 

With her eyes lit up, Shen Xi bobbed her head. "Sure." 

While Li Yuan pulled her up, Toffeecito jumped off Shen Xi's arms to his lap and meowed at Li Yuan for attention. 

Shen Xi bitterly gazed at Toffeecito. She wanted to sit on his lap too! 

After Li Yuan took the girl into his home, Shen Xi downed a glass of warm milk and gobbled an apple before she wobbled to the guest room. Li Yuan wheeled himself back to his bedroom after she closed her bedroom door. 

He had no sooner turned off the light than footsteps were heard approaching his bedroom door. His fair lady's soft and sweet voice came after. "Brother, are you asleep?" 

Shen Xi murmured in a hushed tone. 

"I'm asleep." Sitting up, Li Yuan turned his gaze toward the door.
