Chapter 16: Am I Sick

"Ah!"

Early in the morning, Chen Xiaoqian was awakened by a scream.

She slowly opened her closet and picked out her clothes to wear amidst Qu Xue's cries from downstairs. 

The closet was almost empty.

There were two or three plain-colored clothing that had simple designs.

Then she picked a white skirt and did her hair in a bun. Then, she remembered that she was no longer a doctor. She let her hair down and put them in a ponytail.

The lack of dark circles under her eyes was a sign of vitality, and she did not even need makeup to look great. 

She tidied up the room and opened the window, which faced the courtyard.

Qu Xue stood in front of Chen Lin while crying.

"Brother Chen, am I critically ill?"

"What happened?" Chen Lin asked impatiently.
