Chapter 2: halloween dance
addy's pov
it was finally my favorite time of day. lunch time. the bell rang signaling that class had ended.
"bye moon i'll see you later" i smiled as i got up from my seat
"you sure you dont want to sit with us?" she asked softly
"you know i can't leave eli miguel and demetri alone" i sighed
"next time you better sit with us" she laughed
"fine fine" i said and walked out. eli was already at the door waiting for me
"hurry kylers coming" he mumbled. i nodded and followed him to the cafeteria.
"you're coming to the dance tonight right?" i asked
"kyler and his friends are gonna be there" he sighed
"but i'll be there you have to come please" i said pulling on his arm
"fine fine"he smiled
we grabbed our lunch and went to our designated table. miguel and demetri were already sitting there.
"so what are you guys dressing up as tonight" i asked as i bit my sandwich
" i dont know maybe deadpool or spiderman"miguel said excitedly.
"this anime character, you guys'll see" demetri muttered
"i'm gonna be a nurse" eli said
"what're you dressing up as addy?" he asked me
"little red riding hood" i smiled
"i mean she is little what are you four foot?" miguel laughed
"im actually five foot one" i argued causing all of them to laugh.
"you guys are mean to me. i need new friends" i pouted as the bell rang ending lunch.
me eli miguel and demetri had the same science class. we walked into class and sat in our assigned seats. i sat in the back desk next to eli, miguel and demetri were in the desk in front of us.
"since today's halloween, and some students are helping decorate the gym, we're watching a movie today" the teacher announced.
"come on lets ditch, we'll say we need to help decorate" i whispered to the boys and they agreed except demetri.
i called the teacher over and explained that we all needed to help and decorate. he gave us permission to go.
"we're out what the hell are we supposed to do now" miguel said as we walked through the hallway
"did you forget i got a car for my 16th birthday"i giggled as i pulled my keys from my bag. (i got my drivers license last week hehe)
"cool where are we going" miguel asked as we all got into the car. miguel was in the back and eli was in the drivers seat.
"the mall?" i asked
"shit yeah this comic came out today and i need to go get it" eli smiled
"i needed a new skirt anyways" i smiled
"dont tell me we're all going to the same stores at the same time" miguel said with widened eyes
"yes we are" i laughed as i drove towards the mall.
eli put on the radio and we all sung along to the music.
"who's that brunette that sits with moon during lunch?" miguel asked
"oh that's samantha, kyler's girlfriend" i explained
"ohh thanks" miguel responded
"does miguel have a little crush?" i asked teasingly
"he totally does" eli smirked
"no not like that i just think she's cute" he smiled as his cheeks turned red.
once we got to the mall, i parked the car and went in.
"so where to first?" eli asked
"the comic store" i said and they nodded.
"why didn't demetri come?" i asked miguel as we all walked to the store. i grabbed elis hand.
"he mentioned something about how he doesn't ditch" he laughed
we got to the store and looked around. eli still didn't let go of my hand.
oh god how much i loved this boy. but he'll never love me back, im just his best friend.
"addy?" eli asked me confused
"huh what" i asked looking up at him.
"you zoned out and i asked if you wanted anything" he said
"oh no thanks im okay" i smiled at him. he nodded and walked over to pay his and miguels comics.
"so where next" hawk asked as we walked out of the store
"lets go get coffee" i said as i dragged miguel and eli to starbucks
"oh my god no. not starbucks" miguel and eli groaned which caused me to laugh
we walked in and got in line
"so what do you guys want? im paying" i said
"thanks i'll get a vanilla bean frappe" miguel asked
"i'll get a cold brew please"eli said i nodded and went to order and pay.
we got our drinks and started walking to a cute boutique
"thanks addy" the boys said
"you're welcome" i said
"we're going in here" i shrieked and ran in
i saw the cutest butterfly top and grabbed it
"guys im gonna dress up as a butterfly tonight instead " i said showing them the top
"that's the most basic high school girl costume" miguel said as he took a sip from his drink
"but its cute" i said
"i doubt anyone else is gonna dress up as one" i continued as i walked over to the skirts section and grabbed a green pleated skirt.
"you're right but its still pretty basic" eli said
"see look this is perfect, now i just need some wings or something" i said and got in line to pay
"chicken wings?"miguel blurted causing eli and i to laugh
"no fairy wings you dumbass have you never watched tinker bell" i asked as i finished paying
"shit its 4 i need to go to the dojo can we go?" miguel asked
"yeah sure" i said and we walked back to the car.
" i call shotgun"miguel screamed and ran to the car when we walked out of the mall
"that's not fair"eli said
"he called it seems pretty fair to me" i laughed as we got into the car
"so where's this dojo so i can drop you off?" i asked as i drove out of the mall parking lot
"its in reseda you dont have to take me all the way over there" miguel replied
"no its fine i live over there anyways" i smiled
"eli do you want me to drop you off at home or do you wanna go to party city" i asked as miguel turned the radio on
"uhm i'll go with you" he said
then youngblood by 5sos came on
"omg i love this song" i said as i put the volume up higher and sang along
soon enough we reached the dojo.
"thanks for everything it was fun i'll see you guys later"Miguel said and got out of the car.
Eli and i went to party city quickly to buy what i needed, then i dropped him off and went back home.
i parked my car in my apartments parking lot and walked inside. robby my neighbor was in the hallway
"hey robby"i smiled at him
"oh hey addy what cha doin?" he asked
"oh i have to get ready for this halloween dance and you?" i replied as i unlocked my door
"just waiting for the guys" he explained
"wanna come over for a bit and give me your opinions on my costume" i asked
"yeah sure" he said and we went in
"okay let me go try on the top i'll be back" i said and he nodded as i went into my room.
i tried on the top and it was so cute. i left my jeans and gave myself some light tealish eyeshadow and went out to show robby
"you look amazing i love the top" he smiled
"help me take some pics in it pleaseeee" i begged
"sure but im not the best photographer"he chuckled
i handed him my phone and stood in front of an empty wall and posed. he took a couple and then handed me my phone back
"these are great thanks rob" i smiled and kissed his cheek
"i'll be back" i said and went back into my room. i posted the picture i liked the most and tagged robby for pc.
then i changed into the skirt and put my wings on. i brushed my hair and went back out
"here's the whole fit" i said and twirled
'it looks great but the guys are outside i'll see you later" robby said as he hugged me and left
robby was always a good friend of mine. whenever his mom left she'd ask my mom to take care of him and she always did. my mom and robby's mom were good friends too. so it wasn't uncommon for robby to come over
i ended up falling asleep and when i woke up it was 8. i quickly re fixed my hair and make up and walked out
"hey mom" i said as she was on the couch watching tv with my brother
"oh my god honey i love the costume" she smiled
"thanks uhm i'll be home later im going to the dance with eli miguel and demetri" i smiled
"that's fine have fun honey" she said as i kissed her cheek. i grabbed my car keys and left. i drove to the school which was a 20 minute-is drive.
eli miguel and demetri were on their way together when i had already arrived.
i went over to yasmine, moon, and samantha
"hey addy"moon smiled and hugged me
"oh my gosh i love your costume" she smiled
"yeah its really cute" samantha said
"thanks guys i love your cheerleader costumes too" i smiled
"so where are you group of dweebs" yasmine snarled
"they have names jasmine" i replied
"its yasmine not jasmine" she said angrily
"same shit" i replied
"whatever i'll be back whenever she's gone" she said and walked away
"she's not that bad i swear" moon sighed
"she just she's jealous of you. that you can be friends with your guy friends and still be friends with popular people" Samantha explained
"oh my gosh yasmine jealous of me that's funny" i laughed
"addy" a voice yelled i turned and it was demetri with the boys
"i'll let you guys get back to yasmine i'll see you in a bit" i smiled and ran over to the boys
"you're costume doesn't look that bad anymore" miguel said
"says the skeleton" i laughed
"you look good addy, you know im kidding"miguel smiled
suddenly everyone got a notification. i checked my phone and it was a video of aisha eating saying she was attacking the buffet.
"of course jasmine had to ruin someones night"i groaned
"i'll be bacK' i said to the boys and walked over to aisha
"dont listen to her she's just a bitch"i said to her
"im so tired of her i haven't even done anything to her" aisha replied as a tear rolled down her cheek
"karmas gonna get her. just ignore her" i smiled and gave her a hug.
i walked up to yasmine
"jasmine you're such a fucking bitch. you have to go ruin peoples night for your own enjoyment?" i said pushing her causing her to stumble and fall. i walked away back to the boys
"jesus christ addy what the hell was that" demetri shrieked
"someone had to do something she just ruined aishas night for no reason" i explained
"how are you not scared" eli asked
"scared of yasmine? she's too dumb to be afraid of" i giggled
"hey miguel isn't that your sensei" Eli asked pointing at a blonde man
"oh shit yeah hes just putting up flyers for the dojo" miguel explained
"anyways this dance is boring because none of you want to dance with me lets go walk around" i said and walked into the hallway with the boys following.
we walked around and talked it was fun since we all felt relaxed
"i have to use the bathroom i'll be back" miguel said
"me too" eli and demetri said as they all walked in
i went on my phone while i waited for them
"that moment all your friends leave you for the bathroom" i said as i recorded myself for my private story

Yelling started echoing from the bathroom. i slowly crept in. the boys were getting beat up by kyler and his friends. miguel had it the worst
"STOP IT" i yelled and ran in
I grabbed the fire extinguisher and and sprayed it over kyler and his friends
"run" i yelled to the guys. as we all sprinted to my car.
surprisingly we managed to outrun them and got into my car. Once we got in kyler and his friends looked around and went back in
"thanks for that addy"miguel said
"what the hell happened? i thought you were learning in karate?" i asked as i drove out of the school
"i am i just haven't had enough practice yet" he sighed
i drove to the nearest drug store.
"you guys wait here" i said went into the store
i bought bandages and stuff to clean them up. once i finished paying i went back.
i started off by cleaning miguel up first, the eli and lastly demetri.
"you guys are gonna make me get grey hairs. im turning into all of your moms." i sighed as i drove them all to their houses. first demetri then eli and lastly miguel since we live closer.
"thanks for saving us and cleaning us up" he said as he got off
"its fine you guys are my best friend. if i dont do it who will. and no more fights until you're the best okay? " i smiled
"yeah sure" he said.
i drove home.
