Chapter 2: 2: Amusement Park
It's been 12 minutes, Annie look at Armin for a moment. She gasped. She sees a beautiful drawing. It looks like..a flower. She never thought Armin would be this talented. He draw it smoothly. The shading he added at the flower makes it more beautiful. She ain't never seen such a beautiful drawing. She started to admire him.
"Are you staring at my drawing?"
Armin asked with a sweet smile on his face. Annie surprised for a moment. She didn't say anything. As always, she stay quiet. Armin realized that it's been more than 10 minutes, he put his pencil down and look out the window for a second.
"We almost arrive at our destination! Did you see the roller coaster?"
Armin pointing his finger directly at the roller coaster he just saw while he looked out the window earlier. Annie's eyes wide open. Even though the amusement not far from her house, she never go to the amusement park. She wonder what is in the amusement park besides roller coaster.
He smiles again. Annie can't stop staring at Armin. Without realizing, tears suddenly came out from Fumiko's eyes. That smile..reminds her of her dad. Armin shocked.
"A-Annie? Why are you crying..!!"
Armin screamed a little while whispering because he don't want to interrupt the driver while he's driving.
Annie started to wipe her tears quickly. She feels embarassed. Why did she cried infront of a new kid she just met today. She feels weak.
"We're finally arrived,"
The taxi driver stopped right infront of the amusement park entrance. Armin gives the taxi driver money and started to hold Annie's hand and get out of the car.
Right infront of the amusement park entrance, Armin sees ice cream truck and he have an idea.
"Alright, Annie. Stay here, i will be right back,"
Annie nodded. Armin started to run till he right at the ice cream truck's window. He take out his wallet and buy two ice creams for him and Annie.
The footsteps is approaching. Annie seeing Armin is holding two ice creams vanilla. With his smile on his face, he give Annie one of the ice cream.
"Eat it!"
Annie stared at the ice cream fo a second. She started to grab the cone of the ice cream. It's been a long time since she haven't eat ice cream. She always stay at home helping her grandma. It feels different right now. She feels like the old time she used to have with her parents.
Armin grabbing Annie's hand again and going to a nerby bench. They sit beside each other. Annie started licking her ice cream. It's..delicious.
"It's delicious isn't it?"
Annie nodded a little. She look up to the sky, it's dark. The colorful light started to flickering around the whole amusement park. She smiles a little.
"You smile again!"
Annie quickly wipe her smile off her face and look down.
"Why did you bring me here,"
"Mhm? I saw you upset so i bring you here so i could make you feel better,"
Annie look up to Armin. He looks like he's enjoying the ice cream. He seems like a nice person too. He always make Annie's heart warm.
"You better finish your ice cream before it's melting,"
Armin hit Annie's head softly and started to continue licking his ice cream.
Armin eat his last bite the cone of the ice cream. He open his bag and take out his drawing book and pencil. He continue drawing the flower. Annie just staring at his drawing while eating her ice cream.
Armin's hand smoothly drawing the flower makes it look satisfying to be staring at for Annie. The crisp of the pencil, and more.
"Done! It's beautiful isn't it?"
Annie shocked a little. Armin holding his drawing paper and showing it to Annie. He quickly reverts to a little kid for a moment. Fumiko nodded. Armin smiles again.
"Here, you can keep it if you want!"
Annie take the drawing paper from Armin and look at it while rubbing the drawing softly. It's..beautiful. Orchid flower. Wonder how could he be this talented.
Armin and Annie look at each other at the same time. Their eyes staring into each other's eyes. Armin started to pulls Annie closer to him and hug her tightly.
Annie's eyes wide open. She's shocked. She started crying. His body feels warm. She hug Armin back and holding his shirt tightly. Her tears dripping on his shirt.
"Let it out Annie, let it out,"
Annie started to hold Armin's shirt tighter. Her tears dripping like rain. Everytime she look at Armin or touch him, it always reminds her of her parents.
"You always look down, and stay quiet. I know ur in pain and upset. I may doesn't understand how you feel, but i will always be here for you. I don't care if we just met, you can hug me anytime,"
"W..why..why ur being kind toward me.. you care about me..it reminds me of my parents..why are you doing this..i don't understand..i considered as a mean person at school..but you still care about me..why..just why.."
Annie realising her hands from hugging Armin. He look down, he didn't even show his face to Annie. He feels..embarassed. He feels useless and thinks that he just annoyed Annie all the time and doesn't help her even once.
"Hey, am i that annoying,"
Annie stunned. She's speechless. Armin gripping his pants tightly. He's about to cry but he's holding his tears, he knows he's a man, he won't cry and stay strong, especially infront of a girl.
"Be a man, Armin, be a man,"
Armin and Annie shocked a little when they both hear a piano nearby them. They both started to look infront of the restaurant. There's a girl playing a piano. It's very relaxing. Armin and Annie are speechless. They both look at each other again.
"W..what is this feeling..why i feel like im in a romantic movie..no..no..i just met Armin...no..stop it Annie,"
"What's on your mind, Annie?"
Annie stunned again. She look away from Armin's eyes quickly. Armin sighs while smiling.
"Let's just..go home,"
Armin surprised a little. He nodded a little. In his mind, he's still thinking he's annoying. He's smiling to hide his pain. Annie and Armin stand up from sitting on the bench. They both set a foot to get out of the amusement park and get back home. Together.
Annie feels safe when she's around Armin. She wonder why. He's sweet, he's kind, care about everyone even her mean self. He even have a talent, he can draw. He did comforting her while he's hugging her. Annie's tears..are dripping again..before Armin notice again, she wipe her tears.
"We can get ice cream again tomorrow if you want,"
Annie look up to Armin, he smiles again. She nodded. Both of them waiting infront of the amusement park and waiting for the next taxi driver.

Annie take out the drawing paper from her bag. She stares at the drawing for a long time. She's rubbing the drawing softly again. She started to tape the drawing on the wall. It would look good.
"Annie!!"
Her grandma is calling her. Annie get out of her room and started running downstairs.
"Yes, grandm-"
Annie shocked and cupping her mouth. Her eyes wide open. Her tears started dripping. She quickly run to her grandma. She's laying on the floor. There's a blood at her palm hand and mouth.
"Grandma! What happened???"
There's no response from Grandma. She quickly get her phone and call an ambulance while crying.
"Please! Please be safe! Please..i don't have anything left except you grandma.."
Annie hears ambulance's sirens and started to open the door. The doctors carry her grandma and bring her to the hospital real quick.
Annie just standing there speechless. All she can do is just hoping that her grandma won't die. She knows her grandma is strong. She look down and staring on the floor again.
She really need someone to comfort her. But no one is here. She can't stop sobbing.
"Please stay strong, miss. We will bring her to the hospital real quick,"
The ambulance leaving her house. She can't see the ambulance anymore from the window. That means it's already far away from here.
"Why bad things always happened to me.."
Annie punching the wall and throws her books at the desk on the floor. She fell and kneeling. Looks like she will sleep alone in the house tonight. She's planning to call Armin but she doesn't have his phone number. Even if she has it, she still won't call him because she don't want him to waste his time comforting her.
Miss the old times with her parents. Unfortunately, she can't buy a time machine.
"I won't hesitate to kill myself if my grandma die,"
