Chapter 2: Farewell Earth (Part 1)

The world moved on. Unaware of what came before. Yet the aftermath of the collapse will still ripple forward for the rest of eternity. Converging on one person in particular, changing the universes' for all eternity.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Damn it, my head's killing me..." Groaned a pale young man lying in bed. He crawls up, gets dressed and readies himself for the coming Saturday. While brushing through all of his notifications on his standard black phone he quickly comes across the time. "Already 12? Haaaa the days already mostly gone."

He comes across a email concerning a day-out for a book club he joined online recently. Turns out his admission into joining the group going out passed, despite him only recently becoming a part of the club. It was a message from the groups leader reminding for everyone to show up at the meet spot for 1pm later today.

"Urrrgh, I forgot about this." Considering whether he should even show up at all, eventually deciding upon going anyway so that he doesn't seem unreliable or just plain lazy. Quickly preparing and having breakfast he then goes out and walks to the meetup spot, due to being just a few minutes away.

After a good half-hour reading on his phone at the park most of the group has shown up. Most of them are talking amongst themselves in small clusters of people. Eventually the guide comes forward and takes a standard rollcall. He answer when his name comes up and after 40-something names we're finally boarding the bus.

The ride was uneventful. People stuck to themselves just chattering the whole way. While cursing about his headache, he plops on his headphones and blast some random music to muffle the world out.

Hours passed quickly.

Upon arriving the club quickly splits up to explore the worn ancient structures of... well nobody knows really. These strange metal-like ruins dot the Earth, there are hundreds of them all around. They even glow, apparently, at random times every few years. Anyway our MC is currently wandering around the place, aimlessly. Well until he arrives in front of a silvery throne adorned with worn vines and moss wrapping around it like a tightly fit crown.

"Weird... this place feels weird." He mumbles to himself, alone in the overbearing throne room. He turns around and faces the gaping hole behind him. Through it he can see all of the other strange ruined towers crumbling outward from here. "Must be important."

A bizarre temptation strikes him suddenly; Maybe I should sit on the Throne? He quickly glances around and upon noticing no-one nearby decides to go and sit on it. After spending a good few minutes going back and forth between making sure he's alone and cleaning the throne of the more uncomfortable (seeming) vines and some patches of moss, he's ready.

Making sure of his solitude for one last time he then gradually sits down onto the throne. Marveling in the amazing view before him, he doesn't notice a gradually rising burning pain on his back until it starts actually burning away his skin. He quickly yelps out load and rushes away from the throne. Panting in pain he rapidly examines his back with his hands finding burns and scars dotting his skin now in a strange runic pattern. Weirdly enough though his clothes are still fine despite being between him and the, supposed, source of the scar.

Upon calming down from the surprising moment he realizes how dark it's gotten. Quickly checking his phone he finds it dead.

"God damn it, just what it with my luck today?" Laughing to himself he rushes back to where the bus should be. "And of course it's gone. Even the moons out now?! The hells?"

Thankfully he remembers about an old friend who lives near here and quickly calls them for help getting home.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Damn it, I forgot how stingy that guy is." Laying down atop his bed, he's lamenting over the misfortune he has suffered today. "Why the hells has today been so damn horrible..." He runs his hand over his bare back, tracing the fresh scars. "Still no clue about this though..."

Thinking over this all he eventually drifts off into a deep slumber, at the same time the energy of the universe begins to stir once again. A mass of pulsing Gaic energy gathers within the Earth, it seeps and stirs throughout the world's skin. Searching, hunting for something. After mindlessly doing so it finally finds life by flowing forth from the ground.

Upon passing through all critters and plant life begin to grow rapidly and expand, at least until the creatures collapse upon themselves from stress and pain, dying quickly. With each entity the mass passes through it gradually grows clearer and it's consciousness begins to expand. It quickly became more and more intelligent and it's senses began to spread outward growing faster and faster with every passing moment.

Finally the mass finds a seemingly plain body, at least to a regular entity, however this body possesses an abnormal conductivity for it (or so the mass feels). Like a stereotypical 'prince' archetype it goes rushing after it's 'fated' one. (Author: What the hell did I just write?) It narrowly avoids other similarly sized bodies as it senses a supposed discomfort if it would enter them, and eventually enters into the destined body through it's back.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Waking up panting he, our infamous MC, get's up once again.

"Hells was that?" Thinking back on the bizarre dream he just had. "That was.... strange. I feel like a broken record now. Hahaha." He stretches and then moves his hand to his back once again, the scars gone. "Just a dream then, huh?"

Sauntering over to the bathroom he goes ahead and does his teeth quickly. Then goes ahead and quickly throws together some random stuff from his fridge for breakfast. His phone then goes off as a text pops up. It was from the stingy scumbag he has of a friend.

"What does he want now?" Checking the message he quickly realizes that the 'dream' was real. "Wait, then where the hells did those scars go?"

He quickly gets up and grabs a few full body mirrors from his garage (Why does he have them though?). Placing them so he can easily see his back he takes off his shirt revealing a bare back with the scars turned into a faint white tattoo.

"Hells..." Jaw lying on the floor, he tries to figure out how this could have happened. Standing there for what feels like forever he eventually (less than a minute later) gives up. "Well it's not like how I got the scars in the first place makes much more sense."

[Urgh]

"Hm? What was that..." His head tilts comically to the side in confusion.

[My head.]

"Damn it... My headaches back!" He yells out in frustration knocking sense back into the entity talking to him.

[Shut it! You A****le!] The entity yells back (mentally).

"God damn it, Is this a turning into a migraine!!" Our clueless MC then goes to the bathroom and starts downing cup after cup of water. After about five minutes he's recovered. "Hells was that? And am I really a broken record at this point?!"

[Your more likely broken period.] The entity grumbles back.

"Urgh why the hell won't this headache subside..."

[Ahhhhh... I've been speaking in the Primordial Tongue. IT's a miracle this idiots head didn't expload.] The entity then switches to standard English, learnt via our glorious MC's memories. (Author: [] is for Special Languages and "" for more standard Languages, {} will be for Thought from here).

{Silence you idiot!}

"Bwuah!?" He jumps up in surprise. "Have I finally followed the light?"

{Is idiot too soft for this guy?} The entity would've probably scowled had it had a face, then it began to gradually calm down it's host.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So your some long dead Creator guy who was killed by Kissan, or something like that." He easily summarizes the long story told to him (Chapter 1).

{Admittedly dying by my own creator is a tad embarrassing.}

"Then what has that got to do with me?" He asks plainly.

{Well it appears you are somewhat compatible with whatever of my powers are left here.}

"So imma god now then?" Our excited MC's eyes practically light up at this thought.

{Well I'm far above gods so no.}

"Then am I a 'Creator' now?" He responds a tad less excitedly.

{Maybe.}

|| ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ||

"... How the hells did you do that?" Confusedly responds our MC as a emoticon appears in a box before him.

{Testing... It seems you actually are abnormally conductive for this new Energy thing}

"New Energy? What do you mean by that Carol?"

{Well that Gaic energy I mentioned earlier seems to have mutated upon my de- Wait. Carol?}

"Yeah I need to call you something, so Carol." He replied.

{Fine... It's understandable and not that bad. Anyways this New Energy seems to be a much more powerful variant of my own core abilities mashed together.} Carol plainly responds.

"Then doesn't that mean I'm stronger than you." Our teasing MC, teases.

{Yes.}

"Boring."

{Well I am- was an all powerful being, I've lived far longer than you can imagine and It's inefficient to be that easy to tease.} Carol smugly replies.

"Yeah. Yeah, so this energy how do I use it." Our embarrassed MC brushes the topic away.

{Hmmm.... Give me ten minutes.}

"OK!" Our impatient MC respectfully and patiently waits for all of- 8 seconds before innocently asking. "Are you done yet?"

{Art thee a child?}

"No..." He sulks.

Comment, add to your library and point out any inconsistencies and things you want me to add.

Poor MC he can't have his Beyond-god powers just yet. Anyway the first half of this was very difficult for me to write as it's the only part that I didn't have plans for so it may not be consistent with my later style.
