Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Realization
Yes that really happened. I got isekaied. I don't even recall having a faithfull meeting with the truck-kun. I was just sleeping in my comfy and warm bed. I woke up and get attack by a goblin.
"How the hell did this happen?"Well there is no denying it anymore i even get the level up thing.
My leg almost stopped bleeding and i have accepted the reality. Well only thing i can do right now is try to find i settlement of sorts or at least a road. The forest is a no go because thats where the goblin came out. I can't see any buildings from where i stand so i should try to see if there is any smoke as well. With that thought in my mind i start walking with a club in my hand.
What direction you might ask. Opposite of the forest of course if there is any more goblins i am for sure dead meat. I walk for about and hour while taking many breaks and spot a road. My stomach start rumbling and i can barely stand anymore. If there is a road there must be some sort of security patrolling so it should be safe to take a long break. I drop myself to the shade of a lone tree. I sit below the tree for about an hour but my hunger starts to take me over so i decide start walking once again. Because ı don't even have socks on i walk alongside the road.
After walking some time i see some smoke and decide walk to it. When i find the source of the fire it seems to be a merchant cart. The people who see me battered and bloodied look away perhaps thay don't want to bother themself but among one of them looks at me with a great interest in his eyes. I decide to approach them.
"Hey, i have been attacked by monster can you help me". I call out to the man who looks at me.
After pondering for a moment he speaks to me.
"Yes we can help you but what's in it for us". Well shit. I don't have any money or anything.
"I don't have any money". I say but the mans eyes still have glittering in them.
"What about your clothes" He says. The guy i am speeking must be the merchant. Then i notice he is looking at the t-shirt with a picture on it. His clothes dosen't look badly made but not at the quality of machine made clothing so my clothes seems to make him think they are valuable.
"If i give it to you what am ı suppose to wear" I ask the obvious question.
"I will give you something to wear plus something for your feet as well". Well it's not a bad deal but if i give my only possesion this easily i will have no way of acquiring supliees and food. With that tought in my mind i start to bargaining. We settle on some food and water, a change of clothes , and he will give me a ride to the closest city on top of that he will let me sleep at his warehouse for a couple of night if i help around. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
"You drive a hard bargain he says" But he has a grinn on his face so it's probably a good deal for him as well. After that he motions one of his two companions.
"Heal his wounds as well". The man nods and brings his hands in front of my wound and says "Heal" i am flabergasssed but merchant grinn grows further.
"I paid good money for a adventurer who can cast healing you know"
"Adventurer?!!" You mean there are adventurers out there. Every men dreams of being a adventurer so i get very excited.
"Yeah i hired them from the Guild"
"Guild... How does one register to guild" This time the one answering me the man who healed me.
"You simply walk in and register". Hell yeah!
After that talk i change my clothes and hop on the cart with the merchant it seems they only made a small brake there. While making small talk they ask me where i came from and i tell them i am from country side and lost my supplies while running from monster. They laugh at me then my stomach grumbless which makes them laugh harder.
Merchant then tells me to eat the food i got. The only food is hard bread but i have no other choice so i eat heartily. After a couple hours we see the walls of a city. When i see the walls i ask the merchant if i need any papers or something like that to enter to the city. He tells me thats not needed and they will only check the cargo for anything suspicious.
We enter the city without any problems and i vigirously start to look aroung which causes the adventurers and the merchant to laugh at me. He stops the cart in front of a warehouse and tells me to help unload the cargo. After unlouding the cargo he tells me that he will treat me to some dinner. I accept his offer immediatly and we leave the warehouse.
After walking for about 5 minutes we arrive where there is a couple food stands around.
"You can choose whichever you want".
"Whichever i want?" isin't it a bit to generous.
"Yes can order from any of them price dosen't change very much"
After that i decide to eat some grilled meat. And while making small talk he tries lowkey ask me where i got those clothes.
"They are from a peddler" I lie as naturally as i breath.
"Where did he come from, do you know?"
"No he didn't even spent the night at the village he quickly made his sale and left"
"Hmmm". He dosen't look convinced but dosen't press me any further.
After we fill ourselves i go back to the warehouse and he go back to home. While laying on the ground i figure out that he helped me so much because he wanted to loosen my tounge. I should get some money and leave this place as soon as possible before he thinks i am hiding something and resolves to other questining methods. With that thought in my mind i fall asleep.
