Kai held his hand out and closed his eyes, he focused on the words "Sacred Fire of Life" in his mind and slowly channeled his Yang Qi cyclones in his Middle Dantian, Kai felt the Yang Qi Cyclones in his Middle Dantian swirling faster and faster as he continued to merge the Yang Qi into his body, as the cyclones of Yang Qi surged even faster, Kai felt his body getting more powerful and surprisingly colder.
"I'm channeling my Yang Qi and trying to activate a fire technique, shouldn't I be getting warmer?" Kai wondered at this incomprehensible feeling.
Instead of feeling the symptoms of Yang Qi and the burning of flames, Kai felt his entire essence feel chilled like he just stepped into an ice-cold bath.
Kai continued to hold his hand out with his palm upward as he tried to keep the focus on how to activate this special technique in his mind, trying to ignore the weirdly satisfying chill throughout his entire body.
Kai felt the coldness flow through his entire being, through his meridians, veins, bones, marrow, and even his blood until it all converged toward where he was focusing it, right in the middle of his palm where the bloody gash was.
*crackle*
A soft crackling noise filled the tranquil atmosphere as Kai felt the strange coolness in the middle of his palm, the coolness, once it reached his palm felt strangely soothing, like putting fresh water on a burn.
Kai opened his eyes in surprise that quickly turned into amazement.
"It actually worked?"
Kai looked at the small flame slightly flickering in the middle of his palm, the flame's aura gave off an unfathomable and vigorous feeling, the flame was completely pure white in color and gave Kai the perception that he was holding something living in his hand.
During that amazing out of body experience it seemed like he didn't just gain a few words in his mind, he gained an entirely new ability.
Kai looked at the beautiful flame in his hand before willing it to disappear back into his body, he didn't want to use up all the reserves of his Yang Qi before fully testing it out.
Kai examined the palm of his hand in shock, the bloody gash that was leaking with his lifeblood was completely gone like it was never there.
The white flame seemed to have completely healed his hand at the same moment he activated it.
The "Sacred Fire of Life" actually had such a powerful healing attribute?
Did this mean that the "Black Ice of Death" would mean destruction? The counterpart of Life?
Kai decided to try it out and held his hand out and closed his eyes once more, this time he focused on the words "Black Ice of Death" in his mind and slowly channeled the Yin Qi cyclones in his middle Dantian.
Kai felt the Yin Qi Cyclones in his middle Dantian awaken, as the cyclones of Yin Qi surged, Kai felt his body getting strangely hotter, he continued to hold his hand out with his palm upward as he tried to keep the focus on initiating this new technique within his mind.
Kai felt a strange heat race from the Yin Qi cyclones all the way toward his meridians, veins, bones, marrow, and blood moving to the middle of his palm the same way the Yang Qi did.
*CRACK* *CRACK*
Suddenly, Kai heard cracking noises, like the noise of glass when it shattered.
Kai opened his eyes and was greeted with an even more astonishing scene than before.
All around him, a slim layer of ice appeared on the floor and walls of the training grounds.
The temperature of the training area turned freezing in an instant, yet Kai still felt the same notably hot feeling flow all throughout his body.
Kai looked at what was in the middle of his palm in wonder, it was a floating beautiful crystal made of ice, similar to the white flames, the ice should have given a devastating ice-cold feeling like Kai was holding a dying star in the middle of his hand, but it wasn't cold to him like it should have been, it was warm as life itself, yet gave the perception that he was holding darkness in his hand.
He was sure that it wasn't the same for those he used this technique on, they definitely wouldn't be feeling the warmth from this ice.
The ice crystal in the palm of his hand and the thin layer of ice on the floor were completely pitch black in color, making the scene look beautiful yet unorthodox at the same time.
Kai's face turned unhealthily pale as the black crystal suddenly retreated back into his body, the surrounding temperature gradually turned back to normal as the black ice on the walls and floor started to slowly melt.
It looked like using this new technique required a lot of Yin Qi and strength to continue using, Kai barely used it for more than a few seconds before his cyclones of Yin Qi were almost entirely drained of energy.
Kai caught his breath and smiled, overall happy with these two new abilities.
He wanted more power and it looked like he got it.
