Chapter 16: The Date Night

Time went by,

replenishing their tummy with flavorful sushi, ramen and kimchi stew with some rice, they all thanked God and got ready to depart for home.

The car ride was ample of baby talks, humour, and non-stop interrogation sessions with Tae, about when he will take them out.

Jin-Ae couldn't stop blinking with heart eyes, there wouldn't be a second when her heart didn't thud loudly.

She fell in love with the goofy and tacky side of Taehyung.

"He would become a great father." She reckoned and grinned looking towards the window as happy tears escaped her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Taehyung interrogated with his fingers brushing against Jin-Ae's smooth skin.

The warm, subtle touch fetched Jin-Ae back to reality.

Jin-Ae instantly smeared her tears and gave him a quick assuring look.

She then took a glance at the kids and noticed that they were inundated, appreciating the night view of Seoul and how everything looks distinct here than in New York.

Her heart rejoiced at the very cute and heartwarming moment as a solaced feeling attained over unwinding her anxious mind.

After the little ordeal of her being paranoid got over, she then, gaped at him for the lengthiest time ever.

In a trice, he sensed her eyes on her, and as soon as he looked towards her, their eyes got latched.

Jin-Ae naughtily smirked a little to which Taehyung gave her a vague look in return.

She kept staring at him whilst Taehyung tried focusing on the road and then, looking at her confused the other second.

Taehyung was indeed the best part of returning to Korea.

Baby smooth, veiny, long fingers with perfect pink nails and sweaty palms.

He was nervous.

His hands made her feel something she shouldn't, at least not here.

The fascination was going to erupt, tearing through her desires and venting into her soul. She couldn't wield it anymore.

*Things are sweeter when you don't own them. Totally.*

She needed him. She wanted to call him her forever. She yearned to be with him for the rest of her life.

But, all the "what-ifs" frightened her, deterred her and threatened her to not overdo.

She was so fragile and timid to deal with any of those.

1.00 am

After enjoying a fun night with Taehyung, cackling at the roof, having snacks, cushion fights, and all of the best, sweet moments, the ones she wanted them to experience with their dad somehow got fulfilled, they fell asleep.

Leaving Jin-Ae and Taehyung alone.

In no time, awkwardness began to envelop them as the cold breeze sang their favourite song and the stars giggled at the dramatic twist.

Taehyung got up and cleaned the mess whilst he munched onto some popcorns and offered some to Jin-Ae.

Jin- Ae denied standing up as she was full.

After cleaning and arranging everything to its place, they both sat down sighing loud.

Viscosity accomplishes to build up again forthwith when Taehyung looked at Jin-Ae.

His dark brown eyes soon turned into darker cinnamon-brown with small strokes of honey forging a wonderful contrast.

Jin-Ae bit her lower lip as she gulped down the lump in her throat consoling the nervous feeling, that made her heartbeat fast.

The sexy, utopian vibes and apprehension started to flare up as his stares got intense. Jin-Ae didn't spare to take a glance, she knew it would be wrong to do so.

A loud thud from the car, came from behind that ruined the moment.

Taehyung then carried Jae Joon and Min-ah to their room and made sure they were sleeping well. Whereas, Jin-Ae sat there recalling the thing that just happened.

She sighed drastically as she got up and paddled to have a clearer view of moonlit Seoul.

The vibrant tapestry of jade black woven with the white cotton candy, the stiff whiff that drove into her bones and trekked into her soul, in a twinkling of an eye made her feel extant.

An outburst of serotonin made her chuckle as her brain flashbacked all the sweet memories they spent together.

She craved his presence.

Nuzzling herself, stroking her weary hands around her shoulders, she remembered her promise. As a yawn left, Jin-Ae started procrastinating.

Jin-Ae and Taehyung conceded to spend some time together to cover up the moments they both missed.

"Wait wait wait,

Let me check it first and then you can come. Okay?"

Jin-Ae's eyes magnified in confusion, followed her brows dwindled in awe as he jumped out of nowhere but then, she just nodded as cold wind hugged her from behind making her eyes glossy from the chills.

Jin-Ae was too tired to groan so she decided to go with it as it was jotted down all over his face about how much he forfeited her. She didn't want to ruin his mood and let his excitement slide like that.

He smiled so big and ran.

Jin-Ae giggled at his cute gummy smile and how his eyes glinted, she missed it all and now, that she can have all of the views, all of it, as much as she wants to, she was delighted.

She loved it whenever he grinned so wide that his cheeks popped out and his eyes sparkled.

This reminded her of the time when he blindfolded her and vanished in the air.

All these nostalgic moments were making her sick, her stomach twirled making her eyes wet over all these emotions.

She always tried to stay busy and never let herself get caught in these moments. It was pretty easy as she was drenched in her fashion designing course, business set up and then the kids.

They made her life so much lenient and added a meaningful reason to live.

But, now that she was here, all of this was coming back in the form of memories and flashbacks. Even though sad nights and loneliness made her feel awful at times, making her crave Taehyung, she didn't know that coming back would be so painful and would need a satchel of courage so she doesn't fell and swivel into the fragile Jin-Ae that left Korea in hopes of returning stronger than ever.

Her emotions were taking so much of her, even though not a day has passed that she was not here. Her heart was always distracted with her dad's memories, her mind always dwelled in that room where the windows sleet but her duvet kept her warm, and her soul was with Taehyung that followed him with her prayers and best wishes.

But, nostalgia is a blessing and a curse all at once. It can tear a metal, where on the other hand it can turn all the debris into flowers with its aromatic fragrance.

She tried to shrug off all the negativities.

She watched the street light blink for a while, letting the cold mist in the air hit her face gulping down with all the lies her anxiety told her, allowing her brain to be blank, like the sky that was empty without any twinkling stars.

She was so occupied in dealing with her uncertain thoughts that no presence distracted her.

Taehyung walked to her and tapped on her right shoulder but moved to the left side.

Jin-Ae freaked out a little and looked over her right shoulder, letting out a small sigh trailed by an annoying smirk.

"You fall for that every time"

He laughed howbeit she just snickered a bit punching his muscular arm.

"Okay okay, let's go."

She nodded and heeded him, admiring him from the back, her heart was pounding, with thousands of queries in her mind about what it is this time.

"Okay, so shall I blindfold you?"

Taehyung asked with a grimace on his face as she throws him a death glare.

He chuckled and fringed his hand towards hers, her fingertips brushed his, gently.

The euphoric feeling immediately made her cheeks red as all the serotonin rushed to her cheeks. Her eyeballs started wiggling here there, not knowing how to act.

Taehyung glanced at her and sighed in mitigation when he got to see her like this, aspiring this for a long time now, to look at her glowing red with happiness.

He missed glimpsing at her, in person.

He missed being this close to her.

He missed holding her.

"What is it this time?" Jin-Ae whined for the fifth time shaking her hand, unruffle while on the contrary, Taehyung laughed at her cuteness.

"Patience miss, we're almost there," Taehyung said nonchalantly.

Waiting always annoyed her and who like waiting until it's for the pizza to be delivered so you can munch on it till you're full.

Gliding the stairs and walking for a few seconds to get to the room felt like hours to her.

She was exhausted and needed to rest but at the same time, she was eager about what Tae had for her.

Shortly, she came into the room with him.

The twilight and the air around her unexpectedly calmed her whiny self down. She loved it so much. The room smelled like his cologne.

A creamy peach glow in the room gave off aesthetic vibes, making her feel renewed and excited for the night, she walked forward to excavate more as Taehyung loosened his grip.

At the first glance, she would have sworn, it was so beautiful.

A tent date night!

Red and black foil balloons knotted on the left-right as white fairy lights twinkled beautifully on the silk soft white tent. Lavender scented candle with a glorious rose vase positioned on a small side table.

Some snacks and iced coffee was sighted inside the tent with small puffy pillows.

As she walked forth, a movie set up was done to set the temperament.

A big smile started to place on her lips.

The warm air on her neck felt like a warm welcome back to Korea.

She missed it.

"You did all of this?" Jin-Ae inquired with her wide eyes as they wandered from noticing every detail of the room to Taehyung. Curiousness made her eyes more dilated as she gawked at him for an answer.

"Yes", Taehyung retorted quickly with passion inscribed on his face as his hand went to soothe his hair.

"Do you like it? Why are you so red? Are you okay?"

Taehyung asked in one breath, cupping her face in his hands.

"Ahh- nothing!

Did I like it? Ummm noo." She quickly replied and looked down hiding her rosiness.

He got annoyed and pinched himself, jabbering something.

She cherished his reaction and giggled as their eyes locked.

Jin-Ae followed her instincts, consequently, she got a little closer to him, held his hand whereas, the other hand herded to his face as she touched his face with her thump.

Jin-Ae caressed his warm, soft moisturized cheeks looking at his every comprehensive feature carefully.

He was so immersed at the moment, that he didn't realize that he was blushing.

Jin-Ae leaned in a little more, now their noses were pressed lightly against each other. Dear God!

She couldn't battle against all the "Fifty Shades of Grey" thoughts out of her mind.

"I LOVED it."

She peeked a little kiss at his lips and backed off to circumvent the increasing longing and warmness in her.

He sighed in relief hiding his face, momentarily her scent started engulfing his senses now.
