Chapter 6: Torture *a little intense*
I am sorry if this is a little extreme please let me know if I need to adjust it. Also, I made this chapter extra long for no apparent reason... (It's the longer chapter so far at 2955 words)
I'm uploading this to make up for the horrendously long auxiliary chapter that was uploaded just so I could get power stones :)

I'll give you shoutouts and the top contributor to the novel will get to give me their opinion on how the story should go and I will take some of their opinions and incorporate them in the story. There are some flexible parts the are customisable ;)

A stinging headache...
That was the first thing Kiyo felt as slowly regained consciousness. His whole head felt as if it was throbbing until it would eventually explode as he tried to recall what had happened.
His eyes slowly opened as he let out a groan, feeling pain as he inhaled to take a breath.
"Haha! Look who's finally woken up," he heard a familiar voice that suddenly shocked his mind to be completely awake.
In that instant, he realised where he was. After Haru, Ryuuya and him were throwing stones at the puppeteers, they shifted their targets to them and they were quickly overpowered while many of the kids managed to escape.
It seemed like they had been taken to another location as he saw that they were under some mud house.
He turned his head to look around and the instant that he did so, he saw that next to him on both sides were Ryuuya and Haru, they were all tied on their hands and legs and seemed to have gained consciousness a little before him as they still had that dazed look in their eyes.
"Had enough looking around?" the Captain's voice mocked the three of them.
"Why are you doing this?" Kiyoshi asked calmly as he turned towards them, seriousness in his eyes.
"Why? Are you even qualified to know?" the Captain scoffed as he made his way towards the three of them and pulled out a loaf of bread.
"Does this look familiar?" he said as he showed it to them.
Seeing this, Kiyoshi immediately realised what was going on but just as he was about to reply, he heard a dissatisfied voice speak out, "That's just a loaf of bread. What does that have to do with recruitment?"
Hearing Haru speak like this, the Captain laughed, "Hahahaha! You still think that we were actually doing a recruitment exam?"
"Hahahaha! How senselessly stupid can you be? There was no recruitment exam that was supposed to happen!" the Captain informed amidst his laughter.
"WHAT?" Haru barked out, he was not able to understand what the Captain had just said.
"The recruitment exam was just a lure, Haru. They just wanted to get all of us together," Kiyo explained as his eyes coldly stared at the Captain.
"Looks like one of you has a brain after all," the Captain commented as he pulled out a knife.
"The merchants that you stole from all chipped in and paid us quite a hefty amount of money to get rid of you kids," the Captain informed as he traced his fingers along the blade of the knife.
"So tell me. Where are all the kids?" he asked.
"Huh?" all three kids blinked in confusion as they stared at the captain in disbelief.
"They ran away in all directions. What do you mean where are all the kids?" Ryuuya spoke up this time, in a questioning tone.
"Don't play dumb with me!" the Captain shouted angrily, "All the children followed your orders as soon as you told them all to run. You must be their leaders, so tell me where they are!"
At this, Ryuuya barked back, "All the children were ready to run regardless of whether we said it or not! We just acted, that doesn't make us their leaders!"
Hearing this, the Captain let out a haunting fit of laughter as he creepily spoke, "Looks like I'm going to get the chance to try and take you all crack."
As he said this, he clapped two and in that instant, the door was instantly flung open as a steel teapot was brought in by his lackey.
It was brought forward and laid on the floor.
"What the fuck are you going to do with that?" Haru asked warily as he could see steam pouring out of the pot's spout.
However, his words seemed to have fallen on deaf ears as the Captain's lackey came out and brought a giant wooden shutter that blocked Kiyo and Haru from seeing Ryuuya.
"Now..." the Captain picked up the pot by the handle and slowly spoke as he wanted each word that he spoke to sink as deep into the heads of the three as possible, "Where are the kids? Tell me their location."
As he said this, he stared at Ryuuya, expecting an answer from him.
"I don't kno- ARGHHHHHH!"
Knowing what Ryuuya was about to say, the Captain did not even bother letting him finish as he immediately tiled the pot forwards.
In that instant, steam could be seen rising from the top of the shutters and the ear-piercing scream of pain from Ryuuya.
"STOP!" Kiyoshi shouted, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TO MY BROTHER!"
After five seconds of pouring, the Captain pulled the pot back and made his way past the shutter, not revealing Ryuuya to them as he turned his attention to Kiyoshi.
Fear and unwillingness exploded in Kiyoshi's eyes as he saw the incoming pot filled with boiling water. He immediately blurted out, "He's telling the truth! We don't know where the rest of the kids are!"
Hearing this again seemed to have angered the captain as he suddenly swung the pot straight at Kiyoshi's head.
"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!" Haru's voice sounded as he cursed out loudly. Seeing Ryuuya hurt him deeply already but seeing Kiyoshi get sent flying to the side, and stay limp almost immediately, stopped him from keeping his voice silent any longer as his fear was replaced by anger.
"SIT UP!" the Captain shouted in rage. Kiyoshi was not even able to properly move his body but with the risk of his brothers being tortured, he managed to force himself up.
A/N: (I don't know what sound effect to use for this)
The coursing headache that Kiyoshi had forced to the back of his head once again emerged as the pot hit him right on the side of the head followed by a strange ringing in his right ear. Upon hitting the ground, he could not even scream as the pain was too much that even his nerves did not seem to follow him.
"Your mouth had been really stinky, let's put that to good use," the Captain said as he saw Kiyo slowly turn towards him as this he let out a devilish smile.
Kiyo's eyes widened in shock and utter horror at what he was seeing in front of him.
Haru was currently surrounded by two men and they were both wearing thick gloves and had their hands in his mouth, holding it open, Haru desperately tried to close his mouth and let out noises of despair but the lackeys' hold on his mouth was solid.
"NO! DON'T YOU DO IT!" Kiyoshi screamed as he saw the pot in the Captain's hand love closer towards Haru's mouth.
"TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO HEAR!" the Captain retorted, "WHERE ARE THE KIDS?"
"I DON'T KNOW!" Kiyoshi shouted in desperation and pain. He heard a small tch from the Captain and saw the pot go closer to Haru's mouth. He desperately screamed out at the top of his voice, "I DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY ARE BUT I CAN FIND THEM FOR YOU!"
Hearing this, a smile appeared on the Captain's face as his hand stopped in its movement, "There we go. It wasn't so hard, was it now?"
Hearing this, Kiyoshi felt a sense of relief and he could see Haru's tense body relax a little as he had been spared.
However, the Captain's voice suddenly sounded out, "But what use do I have for this foul-mouth brat when I only need you?"
As he said this, he then poured the water down Haru's throat.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" Kiyoshi shouted in disbelief and shock as he saw Haru's eye suddenly shoot white as his body began to convulse from his expression, he looked as if he was screaming but the water had flown straight into his mouth so all that was heard was a bunch of gurgles with the sizzling of skin.
After five seconds of the water being poured down his throat, the Captain pulled his pot away and the lackey's grip on Haru's mouth loosened and Haru almost immediately fell to the floor as nothing but the white of his eyes could be seen.
"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!" Kiyoshi shouted in rage as he saw Haru fall to the floor. He immediately tried to crawl towards Haru to check up on him but as he was about to, he felt a huge kick strike him right in the stomach and he a mouthful of saliva flew out of his mouth as an intense pain shot through his nervous system.
Rage was all that filled Kiyoshi as he felt anger that he had never felt before. The pain that he felt was quickly replaced by adrenaline from the anger as he suddenly dashed forward at the Captain, catching a strange sudden burst of speed.
He caught the Captain off guard as he rammed straight into the Captain's solar plexus.
The Captain immediately let go of the pot as he felt extreme pain in his chest. But little did he know that as he let it go, the initial momentum had caused the lid of the pot to fall out and as the pot fell to the floor, it sent hot water splashing everywhere.
Fortunately, Kiyoshi had head-butted with his face facing the ground, all he felt were some hot splash on his head and back. Normally, he would've screamed but another sound followed that made him forget all his pain.
"ARGHHH!!! MY EYE!!! THE WATER GOT IN MY EYE!!!" the Captain could be heard shouting right in front of Kiyoshi.
In the instant that he heard this, the ground around them suddenly began to shake.
The earth began to quake.
"What's going on?" said one of the lackeys in an unsure and wary tone.
As soon as he said that, the loud sound of a great thump as if something extremely heavy had fallen on the ground was heard. And at that moment, sand that had been lying on the ground and in the vicinity of the house began to fly around wildly in all directions.
"Boss! We need to run!" one of the lackeys suddenly shouted out, his voice now containing both panic and fear.
Kiyoshi could hear them pick up their Captain who was still screaming about his eye and run off outside of the building.
Hearing them run off, Kiyoshi pushed up every piece of strength that he could muster to force his body up and he began to slowly crawl towards Haru despite the sand that was spinning around, increasing in intensity.
Making it to Haru, Kiyoshi immediately put his head on Haru's chest listening for a heartbeat.
A huge wave of relief washed over him as he heard a faint heartbeat.
"Haru..." he weakly mumbled, "Don't give up on me yet. I'm going to get help."
As he felt the stress in his heart easily, he heard the crash of the wooden shutters. His attention now on Ryuuya, he turned his head towards Ryuuya and the instant that he did so, his eyes widened in shock at the state that Ryuuya was in.
He was also lying on the floor, unconscious, he looked to be breathing as Kiyo was able to see his chest slowly heave up and down.
But what really shocked Kiyoshi was the fact that Ryuuya's eyes... His eyelids were completely white as if the skin had been burned off and he saw the skin had turned into a wrinkly texture.
'No... no...' Kiyoshi's thoughts began to go into panic mode as his breath became uneven and his heartbeat became uncontrollable.
At this moment, Kiyoshi felt a huge throbbing pain in his heart.
He found that his body was unable to control itself as he slowly made his way towards Ryuuya and grabbed him with his hands that were still tied to his back. He then proceeded to drag Ryuuya right next to where Haru was lying.
At this point, tears began to fall from his eyes as he began to cry from hatred, rage, and hopelessness. All the pain that he felt only seemed to fuel his emotions as his crying grew even louder.
Crash!
Suddenly, the roof of the mud house was suddenly flung off from its roof and as it flew out, the source of all the sand and commotion was revealed to Kiyoshi.
"One-tail," Kiyoshi muttered weakly as he stared at the beast with eyes containing his complex emotions.
As if he was sensing this, one tail suddenly turned its gaze around and stared directly at Kiyoshi and for a split second, Kiyo saw pity and concern in the tailed beast's eyes.
However, after that split second, the beast turned around again and continued its rampage as it brought up huge whirlwinds of sand, creating a whole mess in the village.
At the moment that it turned around, Kiyoshi found his senses suddenly tingling. Curious as to what was happening, he turned around and saw black sand begin to appear around him and he suddenly saw the figure of a handsome navy-haired man appear right behind him.
"Are you okay?" he asked with concern evident in his voice.
Kiyoshi let out a vigilant look as he saw that the man was wearing a shinobi vest. But just as he was about to say something back to the man.
The man teleported once again, "We need to get you out of here immediately."
At this he grabbed Kiyoshi's hand and was about take him out of this area but found that Kiyoshi seemed to be fighting back.
"I'm not leaving without my brothers," Kiyoshi spoke in a chillingly cold voice as he stared at the man with his cold blue eyes.
"Leave them! With their injuries, they will probably die anyway," the man retorted as he tried to drag Kiyoshi with more strength but to his surprise, he was not able to do so.
"Then I will die with them," Kiyoshi muttered as he pulled free from the man's grasp.
The tingle that he felt grew even stronger as the man arrived.
"Okay then," the man accepted as he then waved his hand, the instant he did so, Kiyoshi found that the black sand in the area began to move, it first cut his restraints free and then began to collect under the bodies of Haru and Ryuuya.
With another wave of the hand, Haru and Ryuuya were both lifted from the floor and the man turned to Kiyoshi as he spoke, "Are you able to walk?"
Kiyoshi nodded and the man told him to follow him.
However, just as they turned around, Kiyoshi suddenly felt a huge sense of impending doom as he saw the sand suddenly go completely wild around him. He saw the shadow of a huge claw appeared in front of him.
"RUN!" the man shouted as he found that both his hands were occupied with holding the two wounded boys in place, he was not able to do anything fast enough to save Kiyoshi in time.
Kiyoshi could hear nothing as he suddenly pulled his hands together and kneeled on one knee.
BOOM!
In that instant, the huge racoon's paw landed straight on where Kiyoshi was standing.
"Shit..." the man cursed out as he quickly fled from the battle, his priority being to get the two injured kids that he was carrying to receive treatment as quickly as possible.
Fleeing had allowed him to get a proper look at the kids now and he could not believe the extent of their injuries, he had expected such young children to suffer such torture in the village itself.
'What the fuck is happening in my home?' he asked himself inwardly.
In the next thirty seconds, he found a medic and immediately entrusted the two kids into their care and immediately ran back.

What do you think? Quite intense eh? I thought this would a very impactful way to introduce Kiyoshi to the shinobi world. Some things did not really go as planned.
I had originally planned for Peko to die during the fight saving Kiyo from a puppet that had caught him off guard but I could not find a way to write that down.
So Peko, the great character, ends up being a symbol of poverty and the true disparity of the poor in the village of Suna, a den of corrupts.
Also, it's officially time! People, please send over your power stones! Let's get this to be one of the best Naruto Fanfics around.
There is a lot of more fun stuff planned don't worry, this will take over two hundred chapters to just make it to the Naruto period is my current predictions so there's a lot of chapters in store.
