Chapter 6: The Disguised Man

A tall, pale man knocked on the gate of a small house. After knocking a few times, the gate opened and a 175 cm tall man appeared behind it.

When he saw the figure of the pale man, his big rounded eyes sparkled excitedly. He pulled the tall man inside and immediately closed the gate. The round-eyes man jumped to hug the pale man and kiss him on the lips.

"How are your day, Liqin?" the round-eyes man asked after parted their lips.

Chen Liqin snorted in annoyance as he had to recall what he had been through earlier. "Bad and not bad. Don't talk about it now, Ming Yu," he said with a gaze full of affection at his real lover.

He landed a kiss on that chewy lips again and lifted Ming Yu into his arms. Ming Yu responded excitedly while putting his hand around Chen Liqin's neck. Chen Liqin brought Ming Yu into the small and simple house while still kissing his lover passionately.

Ming Yu had to put all of his energy to stop Chen Liqin.

"Why?" Chen Liqin whispered pouted.

"I will go get a wet towel for you," Ming Yu replied while stroking his lover's hair affectionately.

Ming Yu went into another room and backed with a wet towel for Chen Liqin. Chen Liqin took the towel and quickly rubbed it against his face.

A handsome face appeared from behind the towel. His skin color was still white but not as pale as a ghost. His eyebrows were neatly shaved, thin and sharp, with a beautiful curve shape. His nose was sharp and His sharp face line made him look extraordinarily assertive.

Ming Yu smiled when he saw his lover's real face. "Your disguise is really incredible but I prefer this handsome and sweet face," he winked to tease his lover.

Chen Liqin smiled while poking Ming Yu's chubby cheek then sat down on the chair. Ming Yu followed him and sat down on his lap.

"So, what is bad and what is not bad that you said earlier?"

"The not bad is I managed to obtain the evidence about the human trafficking at the illegal auction that held by the Yao family." A big smile decorated his handsome face.

Ming Yu smiled too. "You finally made it!"

"Yeah!"

"Then, what is the bad one?"

Chen Liqin sighed heavily. "I sacrificed a lot of money."

Ming Yu gave him a confused look. "You bought expensive information?"

Chen Liqin shook his head. "That Yao's famously beautiful and clever son. He's really weird! I had tried to trap him several times to get information about his family's illegal action but never worked. Then this morning, I saw him with short hair!"

Ming Yu widened his eyes. "Did he break some rules? Or suddenly became unfilial?"

Chen Liqin rubbed his temple. He felt dizzy just from recalling that moment. "I have no idea. Rather than that, you know what I did?"

"What?"

"I claimed to be his lover and that supposedly clever man just accepted it without any suspicion. What had happened to that young master who was so careful a few days ago? He just like a totally different person!"

"Isn't that great?" Ming Yu asked, didn't know where the bad was.

Chen Liqin shook his head. "This version of him is worse and extravagant! Even though I managed to trick him because he suddenly turned dumb, I had to spend a lot of money on his food and even gave him a pouch full of gold coins just to earn his trust!"

Ming Yu chuckled. "You've worked hard," he said, patting his lover's head.

Chen Liqin immediately forgot his annoyance and smiled sweetly. "It is for your sake, how could I not work hard?" He softly kissed Ming Yu's lips again.

"Ehem!" The sound of someone clearing throat disturbed their intimacy.

Chen Liqin stare was piercing through a large and handsome man in black traditional Chinese clothes that suddenly appeared from nowhere inside the house.

"I'm sorry to disturb you, Your Highness, but I don't think I was wrong because you called me," the bold man said in a very formal manner but his slanted eyes glinted mischievously.

Chen Liqin looked at him in disgust. "Dai Junjie, I don't remember that you can act so formal," he said mockingly.

Dai Junjie chuckled. He was the leader of the royal secret force working directly under the current Emperor, Chen Guang, Chen Liqin's father. The secret force was those who work on all of the top-secret missions that could not be known by the public.

That was the reason why, on the surface, Dai Junjie was known as one of the commanders in the Xin Kingdom.

"I managed to retrieve the evidence thanks to the map of Yao's residence that you gave me. Thank you," Chen Liqin's said sincerely.

"No need to thank me, Your Highness. This servant is happy to be your help," Dai Junjie said as humble as he could. It was a formality that he often did to the prince when they were on a formal occasion. If he did this outside the palace or when they were alone, it was mainly for a joke.

Chen Liqin didn't mind and smiled with satisfaction. "I'm going to see my dad." He landed a brief kiss on his lover's forehead before leaving the house with Dai Junjie.

The Crown Prince of Xin Kingdom, Chen Liqin, walked gallantly through the royal courtyard. A few steps behind him, Dai Junjie followed with a serious expression – he always showed this kind of face when on duty.

The servants and guards who passed by them immediately stopped and paid their respects. The Crown Prince just smiled briefly and walked past them.

He couldn't wait to report what he had found to his father and saw that old man's response!

The reason why he had to work on this mission, which had troubled his father for a long time, was because of what had happened one week ago, when he was caught having an affair with a man without a clear status.
