Chapter 27: Operation Ying Yue!

Rhea got enough time at college since she was not assigned extra jobs in the shooting. She could pursue the spy mission preparations, in other words, mission Ying Yue. That's what Liam had named their mission.

Bryce taught her about the cameras, transmitters, and receiver sets. Rhea bought everything they needed with the help of Yuan Yu. The uploading mission was given to Liam. Rhea will be the one to take the evidence, and Liam had to speak with Ryan, then make it public. Yuan Yu originally planned to give a second job to Rhea, but she firmly rejected it. Rhea was not willing to associate with Ryan for the current time, not to say that it was about Ying Yue.

Yuan Yu was given the mission to trigger Ying Yue. She was responsible to make Ying Yue fall into the trap. Yuan Yu had appointed two girls to spread the rumour about Ryan's new life in Ying Yue's current filming set. Of course, it will reach her one day. Also, the girls were deliberately told to mention Rhea's name in front of Ying Yue. Since Ying Yue is still trying to patch up with Ra=yan, she will be triggered for sure!

The cold war between Rhea and Ryan continued for about two weeks. Rhea believed that he'll calm down with time. But it seemed that he grew distant with time. The amount of time he spent in his cabin gradually decreased. The amount of work given to Rhea reduced as well!

Rhea couldn't guess what the situation is. The only clear thing is Ryan is avoiding her at all cost!

Rhea started to feel its quite normal after such a turn of events. Things had already awkward between them. The assistant – boss or the fan - idol line had already been crossed, twice! Rhea felt if that'll make him better, let him be.

In any relationship, you don't have to chase people! She had already chase him from Alaska to Shanghai. Isn't that enough? If he ever wants her he'll come!

She tried her best to forget these and started to concentrate on what she was doing before! She had to expose Ying Yue!

Bryce had already taught her everything required. She only learned things, since she didn't want to involve Bryce in anything. It's better if he can stay out of these.

The day she has been waiting for finally arrived.

Ying Yue was there since she had a shooting near this location. Since the studio was pretty big, it was still possible to shoot more than one movie there.

Things would have stayed normal if Ying Yue had mind her business and stayed where she should. But she came to the 'Just Met You' set and entered Ryan's cabin once again. But this time, she was not there to meet Ryan, but Rhea.

She was still wearing her long dress, which she was wearing for the shooting. Rhea was in the cafeteria when she came. So uncle Li came to ask for her, then go back to inform Ryan as he was in another building.

As usual, Rhea had entered the shooting spot in the noon, once she finished her lectures. She was given the news that Ying Yue was waiting for her in the cabin.

Rhea was carrying the spy camcorder, transmitter, and everything for a very long time, awaiting a situation like this. So she hurriedly went into the restroom and wore them most properly. She had called Yuan Yu and informed her that the target has arrived!

Yuan Yu hurried to the cabin next to Rhea's and prepared the computer and stuff which Rhea had taught her and called Liam. Liam who was busy in the hospital, eating hurried to the studio even without removing his white coat.

Rhea took a deep breath before entering the cabin!

"Why are you late?"

"Did I give you an appointment? I don't remember!"

Rhea didn't think twice before speaking back.

"Do you know who I am?"

"Of course why wouldn't I know you?"

"You still dare talk back to me?"

Rhea couldn't help but laugh. "You must be thinking too highly of yourself"

"Rhea, I'm your boss's girlfriend! You still try to speak back?"

"Ex, ex-girlfriend!", Rhea replied. She smiled scornfully as if to induce her anger.

"He still loves me!"

"He detested you"

"No! He still loves me!"

"You still believe this? Didn't you guys break up because he didn't want to marry you?"

Rhea was so careful and didn't bring the word 'contract'. If the contract between Ryan and Ying Yue is exposed, it will become another scandal for sure. So she continued as if she didn't know anything about the agreement between them. Judging from her character, Ying Yue will try to defend Ryan's love for her, no matter what.

"No that's because he wanted me to have a good career! He told me to succeed in life first. He would have married me no matter what after two years."

This slightly broke Rhea's confidence.

Now Rhea brought a sad face as if she had been cheated by Ryan! She still showed doubt on her face. Then, why did you…. Don't lie Ying Yue. You two clearly broke up because he was not interested in you anymore!

"No! Ying Yue shouted as if she is crazy! He loved me till the end."

"Go tell this to a child who would believe you. Ying Yue, you are nothing but a loser! You were thrown away by Ryan a long time ago. So stop messing with him anymore!"

"I lied!", Ying Yue said. "Back then I lied."

In truth, Ying Yue loved Ryan back then. But she also loved her career. Her career had just replenished then. She was afraid if she loses Ryan, she will lose fame as well. So she proposed to Ryan. He simply said that it was for the contract and he never loved her. She was enraged. He continued to say that he will announce that they had broken up once, the film is a success!

Ying Yue shouted that day, that if he continued this, she will announce that he had abandoned her. But Ryan was not ready to just give in because of this.

So at last, Ying Yue had to break the scandal, so Ryan will be left with no options other than marrying her! But what she expected never happened. He was firm and didn't agree to marry her even after the scandal. She tried to call him many times to make him agree. After a while, he had changed his number as well.

Ying Yue once tried to visit his apartment but it was a failure since the security for a lot more than she expected.

It was only possible for her to meet him once again, once he got out of his room and ready to act. She wanted to patch up with him and marry him. But when she saw Rhea, in his cabin her doubt grew stronger. She started to wonder whether if she is his new girlfriend. So she pretended that Ryan still loved her to break those two. If anyone wants to break a relationship, the first thing that should be broken is trust. If trust is broken, the relationship cannot live long. So she tried to break Rhea's trust in Ryan. Even today, she was so persistent to break Rhea's trust and make her know that he has another woman in his heart.

She was successful!

The fact she wanted to carry to Rhea's ears was carried well. Rhea believed every word she said. But Ying Yue was not aware of the fact that Rhea was recording her conversation. If she had known, she would have played the other way. She lost there.

"Recorded successfully" Yuan Yue spoke in the earbud.

"Thank you for the confession!", Rhea bitterly smiled.

"....." Ying Yue kept thinking, but suddenly understood, what Rhea is talking about! She could see the camera on Rhea's T-shirt, which was hiding in the pattern.

"You…!", she hurried and grabbed the camera and stepped on it forcefully. The camcorder was smashed into pieces. She then looked at Rhea then slapped hard on her face. With that forceful slap, the earpiece fell on the ground and Rhea was also taken aback. But before the next blow, Rhea had grabbed Ying Yue's hand.

"Don't you dare hit me once again" Rhea spoke as she slightly twisted her hand. At that time Liam had already arrived in the cabin.

So Rhea let her go!

"Get out!", Liam calmly stared at Ying Yue and spitted the word.

Ying Yue was dumbfounded and looked so confused. Tears started to well up in her eyes. She was still not sure if disposing of the camera is enough or not. Confused, she walked out of the door, with a panicking heart.

At that time, Ryan was running towards the cabin. He saw Ying Yue crying and going towards her car.

If she is crying, then it must be something big. His heart started to race. He almost ran into the cabin to see Yuan Yu who was leaning towards Rhea's face and checking it.

"What happened?", he asked. His voice was not calm but irregular.

Rhea got up from her seat. She wasn't sure how to explain things that they had planned.

"Nothing", she hid her face well by her hair.

"She was beaten by that devil of yours!", Ying Yue angrily told him.

".....", Ryan walked towards Rhea in two steps and tucked her hair covering her face.

He could see five red line marks clearly on her jade white skin. He could understand how painful and stingy it will be. His other hand fisted seeing this.

He couldn't keep looking at her and just hugged her tight and stroked her hair.

"I'm sorry!", he said.

Rhea couldn't understand why he is sorry. Is he really sorry for her, or if he is apologizing on behalf of Ying Yue? But in that embrace, care and kind words which she received after a long while, she teared up.

Yuan Yu stayed there dumbfounded. When these two had gotten close like this?

Ryan after a minute or two broke from the hug and checked on her. He slightly touched near her shoulder. Something was poking him all this while during the hug.

"What's this?", he asked.

Rhea was taken aback by the question. She once looked at Yuan Yu who was looking at them, and Liam who was standing by the door with ointment and finally looked at Ryan!

"Transmitter!", she said.
