Chapter 145: Happiness
"Who is moving in?" Ray asked the moment he arrived.
He could see men move things from the moving car into the house.
"Me and Alfred " Jack walked in.
Ray smiled, "Oh so the whole family is going to be living here," he said.
"Dad had decided for Jack and Alfred to move in after marriage but they were so busy now that the twins are here, they needed to move in sooner" Camilla explained.
"Ray do you want to see the twins?" Alfred walked in holding the two babies. Ray was beside him in seconds.
Jack came closer and took one baby, Ray looked over the baby with excitement.
"Why are they so beautiful? he laughed. " You guys are also fathers now, congratulations"
"Thank you, Ray. We hope you settle down soon too " Alfred muttered.
"Hahaha, don't worry about it. We still have time Rachel isn't ready yet" Ray laughed.
"And who says am not ready? Just say it to you who isn't" a voice said.
Ray flinched at the sound of her voice and turned around hiding behind Alfred.
"I...I didn't mean it that way...." he stammered.
Rachel walked in hugging Camilla.
"And what did you mean exactly? Care to explain " she said her eyes glaring at him.
He moved further behind Alfred who chuckled and walked away to the seat next to Jack.
Rachel turned to them, "OMG, they are so cute congratulations guys " she hugged Jack and Alfred then turned to Ray, "you come here "
He dropped his shoulders and head like a little kid in wrong and walked to her.
"Am sorry " he mumbled
"for what?" asked Rachel.
"For delay to make you a mother," he said.
He could hear laughter from the others, and Rachel chuckled too.
"Is that all?" she asked and Ray shook his head.
"Am sorry for not marrying you sooner " he said and the laughter around them increased.
"Then when do you plan to do all that?" Rachel asked.
Ray looked up at her and then around to see g everyone gaze at him.
"Rachel why don't you just drop that noise maker and let me introduce you to one of my rich friends "Chris's voice cut through the silence.
" Really?" Rachel turned to see Chris walk in. He nodded as he gave Ray a look.
"I think that's better too, I mean Ray isn't ready for any of this while you seem to want it " Camilla added before hugging her husband.
Ray clenched his fists as he heard them talk.
"I guess that could work, I mean look at now all my friends are married and have kids. And I have been wanting it for so long but I didn't want to pressure Ray into something he didn't want " Rachel spoke.
"If you don't like brother's choice I and Alfred can also help you. we have a lot of handsome male friends" said Jack the new father.
"You guys need to stop " Ray yelled with tears in his eyes. "Rachel is mine and mine only " he added.
They all turned to him. Ray turned to the others, "it's not that I don't want to I just didn't know when to ask her " he said.
"Ohh...." Camilla muttered.
"Ahhh" Rachel exclaimed.
Ray turned back to her and held her hands.
"I have always wanted to ask you to marry me it might sound crazy but it was from the day I saw you," he said as he moved his hand to his jacket and pulled out a small box.
Rachel gasped while silence filled the room.
"I bought this ring after the day you agreed to be my girlfriend and I have been moving with it every single day looking for an opportunity to ask you but I never seemed to get one " he sighed as he knelt on one knee.
"I didn't mean to make you wait this long so I won't hold back any longer so am going to ask you right now, Will you marry me?" he could see the tears in her eyes.
The room was silent again as Rachel stared down at Ray. She finally nodded saying, "Yes I do "
Ray gasped in happiness while the others clapped, he got up and pushed the ring on her finger.
"Now can we go make a baby?" he muttered to Rachel as he wiped her tears.
Rachel laughed pushing him away, "don't say that loud"
"Sorry love, but we all heard it " Camilla laughed.
"You can leave anytime " Chris chuckled.
"See they all agree with me and it was you who said you wanted a baby " Ray pouted.
"Yes I did but tonight is to welcome back Alfred and Jack and you just stole the spotlight from them "
"Oh, we don't mind. You guys can leave early " Alfred laughed.
They all laughed while Rachel hugged Ray to hide her blushed face.
Later when everyone had arrived, Rachel showed off her engagement ring to the others and the twins were introduced to the family,
Ben and Lily also announced their wedding date.
"Everyone we also have some great news to share, " Ritah said getting everyone's attention. After they feel silent she continued, "we also got married during our trip " Ritah announced as she also showed off her ring
"What?.." said Jack.
"And the cake? we didnt cut the cake " said Ray.
"OMG, congratulations you two," said Lily and Rachel.
"I won't call you mother-in-law. But am still happy you found your love " Camilla hugged her friend.
"Are you sure you didn't force him into it after making him drunk?" asked Alfred.
"Or he forced you?" added Chris.
Ritah and Chris's father laughed at their expressions and thanked them for their support.
Everyone was stunned by the news and then congratulated them.
