Chapter 3: Tale 3: Rebuilding This Weak Body
Gramps is working hard to get those ingredients for me, so I'll have to help prepare for the pill as well. Master once told me that in the Demon Realm, there's a place that is burning hot year rounds and deep inside it is a blood red lotus with the name of Devil Breath Lotus which grow by absorbing the flame and heat year round and those who can absorb the flower will gain the ability to converts their Qi or life force into flames that can both be use to attack and create pills that has Royal grades and above. I'll need it if I want to make a Re-birth Pill that can extend its full potential.
To locate the flower's growing place, I went around the village to ask where is the hottest place year round in The Demon Realm. Most of the villagers point towards Demon King Rage Volcano which is to the west of the village, but they did warn me that the heat will burn me alive if I step even one foot into the surrounding areas near the volcano. At that moment, the amulet mark on my chest starts to shine and a line of words appear in front of me. It seems like a cultivation technique made to be cultivated for both demons and immortals. Furthermore, the lines state that the one who cultivates this technique will be immune to all elements and attacks related to that element. I look around and no one else can see these words, but me.
What other secrets does this amulet hold?
The first layer of this technique can make the user immune to flame elements, I can use this to protect myself from the flames surrounding the volcano and this technique doesn't require Qi to cultivate. The one and only way to cultivate this technique is to absorb the elements into the user body and the more you absorb the higher the chance of the user breaking through the next layer and for every layer I break through I can absorb a new element.So I have to basically risk my life if I want to cultivate this technique. This technique is call Null Body Forming Arts
Now's not the time to hesitate, I need to bring order and balance back to this place and return to the Mortals Realm to find out why my love betrayed me.
On the following day, I gather some food and water and head to the volcano. When I reached the entrance to the volcano, I could already feel the heat and flame burning my feet and body. Knowing that I can't reach further, I sat down onto the ground, opened my vessels, and started to absorb the surrounding heat and flames into my body. My organs, muscles, and my entire body is burning more and more as I absorb the flames and heat, but if I want to get that flower then all this pain is worth it!
I sat there for hours while enduring the pain until I managed to control it and I can no longer feel the heat. Now I'm ready to head into the volcano. As I climb up the volcano, the heat and flames get stronger and I can start to feel burning again, but I can't cultivate while climbing so I force my body to endure the pain.
Finally I reached the top of the volcano, but the flower was nowhere in sight. At the same time, I felt the presence of something deep inside the lava. This might be one of the stupidest things I've done in my life, but I jump into the lava with hope that the presence was the flower.
Fate did not disappoint me, the flower was inside the lava, but the burning is starting to get worse and dealing more damage to me. I've gone this far so there's no way I can turn back now! Without any hesitation, I enter my cultivating position and start to absorb both the lava and the flower at the same time. As I absorb them, I can feel that my body will turn into ashes soon if I don't get out.
*Cough out blood*
This is nothing compared to all the pains I have to go through during my days before I became the Emperor Of the Mortals Realm.
"Aaaaaaaah!", I screamed. "Hahaha, I've broken through the first layer."
Now Null Body Forming Arts is in the second layer, which means that I can now absorb water elements related attacks and surroundings. Not only did I break through, I've also completely absorbed the flower. Now that my job is done, I immediately jump out of the volcano, which is now just an ordinary mountain with no lava or heat surrounding it. I basically suck up the entire volcano itself. Farewell and thank you for letting me absorb you Demon King Rage Volcano.
Wow looks like I've spent an entire day inside the volcano. I should check with the old man to see if he is able to gather everything.
When I arrived at the village, grandpa was inside the house waiting for me. I could see him holding a basket in his right hand and also multiple herbs on the ground.
"It took awhile to find the Body Recreating Plant, but I've managed to gather enough for you to use.", He said with a smile.
"Grandpa you are hurt. Who did this to you?" I asked after seeing his wounds.
"Oh I just fell down while walking. It's no big deal.", He replied.
This is no wound you would get from falling. This looks like a wound from when someone is beating you up. Where did he go and who did this to him?
"I'm your grandson aren't I? You can tell me the truth.", I asked.
"I...I went to Black Moon Village to get the Body Recreating Plants from their village head, but in return for the plants, I have to withstand ten moves from their strongest warrior.", He sighed.
Good. Very good! Black Moon Village is it? I'll burn all of you to the ground once I get stronger. You are all going to die for hurting my family.
"Oh I almost forgot. Here's a cauldron that you wanted. This is what your father used to create pills during his young days." Grandpa smiled.
I smiled and brought a bathtub(Big Wooden Basket) out. I then fill it up with water and put half of the ingredients into the basket. First step is done, now let's create the pill.
I sat down in front of the cauldron and started to burn my life energy and focus it onto both of my palms to form a blood red flame. As expected, this flame is as hot as the lava lake inside the volcano....no even hotter. I think I'll call you Demon Emperor's Raging Flame. I throw the remaining half of the ingredients into the cauldron and blast it with my flame.
"Satanael. Are you sure you know how to make pills? You'll burn all the ingredients if you throw it all in at the same time!", Grandpa yelled.
That's what the ordinary Medicine Sage would say, but those who truly understand medicines can know that the flame is the one that controls the process, not the ingredients.
Almost there....now! I immediately stopped blasting the flame and a pill was starting to form on top of the cauldron. Re-birth pill Royal grade successfully created.
"A Royal grade pill!?"Grandpa screamed in surprise.
Let me explain. Pills are separated into four different grades based on their quality: Normal, Perfect, Royal, and Divine. There's also a fifth grade called Fabled grade. Other than my master, I haven't seen anyone else able to create a Fabled grade pill.
"Royal huh? Well I guess this grade is good enough for my current condition.", I said before swallowing the pill. "Now let's get into the bathtub."
I took off my clothes and sat inside the bathtub, now filled with the ingredients, and opened all of my vessels and began absorbing. Although it's just seconds in, I could already feel all of my vessels, bones, and organs being torn apart. It's extremely painful, but I force my body to endure so it could absorb everything and rebuild my body.
*Panting*
The destroying part is over and the pain has finally stopped. Now the body will rebuild itself.
I continued to sit inside the bathtub for days until I'd absorbed all of the water and herbs and successfully rebuilt my body. Now that my body is suited for cultivation, I can now absorb Yin Qi and cultivate.
Although the books that Atrocious gave me is total trash, it is the only Yin Qi cultivating technique that I currently have on hand. Speaking of cultivating, what are the stages that the demons cultivate are based on.
"Hey grandpa. What are the stages of cultivation?", I asked.
He then explains that Demonic Cultivation is split into ten different realms: Yin Qi Capturing Stage, Demonic Core Creation Stage, Demonic Blood Core Stage, Demonic Soul Formation Stage, Demon Stage, Demon Lord Stage, Demon Duke Stage, Demon Emperor Stage, Demon Ancestor Stage, and lastly Demon God Stage. Each stage has six layers to break through except for the Yin Qi Capturing Stage, which has ten layers in total.
Interesting. Based on my current strength, I say I'm at Yin Qi Capturing Stage 2nd Layer and the majority of the genius in the village is at Yin Qi Capturing Stage 6th Layer. If I want to beat them all at the tournament, I have to get to at least the 5th layer Yin Qi Capturing Stage by the time the tournament starts.
It's time to show these demons the talents and powers of the one that once rule over all of Mortals Realm.
