"Um, good morning? Are you all right, sir?"
Felicia slowly approached unconscious Vincent. She bent down and started shaking him.
"Excuse me, are you still alive?"
She checked if he was breathing.
'He really is still alive!'
"Wow, I never thought someone could survive a fall from such a height. Are you by any chance a God? Wait, God wouldn't fall and be unconscious. Are you god's follower that was punished and sent here?"
Felicia asked more questions and tried her best to understand what was going on. An unknown man fell from the sky. She tried to identify him and searched for something that could help her in finding out Vincent's identity.
"Huh? What is it? Something bit him?"
She noticed the bite mark on his shoulder, which threw her into a state of shock.
'This being doesn't even have a scratch after falling from the sky! What could've left this mark?'
She searched through her head, trying to find a creature that was strong enough to do something like this, and the only option she knew about came to her head instantly.
"He was bit by a demon king! He must've fought with the demon king! But wait! Wasn't the demon king dead for a long time?"
Felicia gasped as she created more and more unrealistic stories that made sense in her head.
"Don't tell me that the demon king hid all this time and planned a counterattack when this young brave warrior saw through him and went alone to face him? It must be it!"
As soon as she created this story in her mind, she covered her mouth with both her hands.
"It's the only reasonable explanation of this situation!"
She tightly squeezed her fists as she looked at the young hero right before her.
"He is around the same age as me, yet, he bravely fought with the strongest demon our world has ever seen. Now, he fell right before me. Don't tell me I'm the heroine!"
Felicia instantly blushed and started shaking her head.
"This must be it, but what should I do now? I can't take him to the village, no one will believe me!"
While she was talking to herself, Vincent was slowly regaining his consciousness. He heard a weird mumbling, but he didn't have time for it, because of the hunger he felt.
Felicia noticed the change of his expression and already knew what she needed to do to wake him up!
"Oh God, I need to kiss him! But, won't we have kids if I do it? No! The fate of the entire world is in my hands, (Besides, he is quite handsome) I need to do it!"
She leaned closer and closer, and when she was about to kiss Vincent, he opened his bloodshot eyes and bit her neck.
This sudden turn of events shocked Felicia, and she passed out from excitement after the last thought went through her head.
'He is a vampire!'
Vincent still didn't know what was going on. He was feasting to his heart content because what he was currently eating was the best thing he had in his entire life. Even the best dishes from before the apocalypse weren't this good.
*Munch Munch Munch*
After he was full, he was curious about the thing that was this tasty, looked down, and saw a woman with half of her neck and arm eaten. He could even see her bones!
"Argh! Did I do it?"
Vincent looked at himself and had the urge to vomit. It was the first time he felt this guilty. He couldn't believe that he even dared to say that human meat was the best thing in the world.
"How could it be! Wasn't the zombification stopped? Don't tell me that this idiot removed the thing he did to stop me from turning into a zombie?"
Meanwhile, in weird place words couldn't describe, 'this idiot's' veins were bulging on its forehead as it was looking in Vincent's direction.
"I dare you to insult me once more. I swear I will strike you with thunder, you punny, arrogant, ignorant human!"
Vincent thought the whole thing through and concluded.
"I can't blame an idiot for being an idiot, but I can't also blame myself for what happened. This was totally out of my control."
He rested his chin on his fist and started searching for a way to explain what went wrong and who is to blame.
"Hm. Even if I'm intelligent, I can't find the correct answer. When I think about it, it's John's fault that he bit me, but I said that I don't blame him, so now, I have a problem. Maybe the zombie that bit John is to blame? Wait, who is John, and why it's so hard for me to talk about him?"
Vincent suddenly understood that he couldn't remember a lot of things. He knew that there was a hole in his memories, but he didn't know what was missing.
"Hmm. it's weird. Since I can't understand what is going on, then the only way is to sort what I know, then try to comprehend the missing things."
'I was in a place called earth, I caused a catastrophe, I lived in a weird world full of danger, I had a few friends I was really close with, they were killed because of someone I was close with, I didn't want it to end like this, so I appeared here.'
Vincent looked at all the information he had, and couldn't help but shake his head.
"How can I know what is going on with what I have now? It's the most common story I've ever heard. What's the use of knowing that my target is called Thomas when I can't even remember his face. What I remember clearly, though, is that it was supposed to be a fair fight. Does he lack a lot of his memories too?"
He was slowly getting more and more discouraged when he suddenly noticed something that maybe wasn't connected to his current disappointment, but could help him in finding where his archenemy is.
It would be funny if the demon king was still alive, right?
(Don't ask me, I don't know if it's true).
