Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Copy and Paste
After picking the special skill, Soro didn't start testing the new abilities right away. He is waiting for more rewards to pop up. Soon, he let out a sigh. "So there is no more reward heh? Well then, let move out of this dungeon and test out my new abilities."
By now, his summon already cleaned out the dungeon. Not even a single life is left behind. Once outside, he quickly checks the system to see how many wolves he can summon. After seeing the number, he feels even happier. Now he can summon 11 tier1 wolves and 40+ normal wolf.
While focusing too much on his system, Soro almost forgot about the nearby Kiki. He has done a good job, from killing normal wolves that were coming out from the dungeon. Because Soro is in a good mood, he decided to thump Kiki up and praise him a bit. Which makes Soro regret praising him because Kiki starts to brag about his achievements again.
With an annoying face, Soro gives an order to Kiki to bring the group of humans to him. And he gives an order to some wolves and bears to drag the dead body that is inside the dungeon out. Because he got a plan for those carcasses.
While waiting for the job to be done, Soro starts testing his newly obtained skill. First, he starts using [Hunter's eye]. Then his eye turns sharp like a wolf eye. Soon he starts to notice the difference, he starts seeing moving things clearer. Like seeing and spotting a high-speed bird in the sky or a nearby rabbit. Exclaiming to himself: "so this is the eye of the wolf. It helps them to spot prey faster, and can react to a high-speed attack."
Alright, let test out, memories transfer. After a bit of focus, I successfully connect to a nearby summon's mind. The memories transfer somehow works similarly to a video editing program. My memories are in a folder. I can search for a specific part of the event and copy it then paste it in the memories folder of my summon.
So for testing, I start to search about cats in my memories. I copied everything related to the cat and pasted it inside my wolf's head. Then I see the wolf turn stiff at an instant. A while longer I see an odd scene. A wolf keeps changing between howling and meowing. So test out a bit farther. I proceeded to delete all the wolf memories and keep only the cats' memories. Soon the result turns out that it becomes a wolf with wolf instinct and cat behavior.
Ignoring the wolf, I turn to the summon human nearby. He was the one that found this dungeon. After connecting to his mind, I start to check out his memories. His memories are short. It only has the memories from when I summon him until now. While checking his memories, I come across a scene of him fighting a wolf nearby the dungeon. This gives me an idea. I copy that part of my memory and paste it into a folder.
Somehow I can create a memory folder in my mind. I name it "super-soldier". Then I proceeded to search for anything related to fighting and soldier in my memories. I copy everything and put it in this folder as well. I call it the "super-soldier project". With this as an inspiration, more ideas suddenly pop up. So I create 1 more folder and put anything related to dog fight, tiger hunting, lion hunting, and more thing similar into it. I call it [super wolf army]. Luckily, I can search for those forgotten memories when I was a kid. I used to watch a lot of animal documentaries on tv.
Soon Kiki came back. I see Kiki is still high from the praise that I gave him, so I ignored him. I went straight to ask the summon human. "Do you guys find any dungeon or anything worth telling me?"
Everyone starts to shake their head, but then someone says: "I didn't find a dungeon but I found a village nearby."
I turn to him and start to copy his memories and paste them into mine. Then I know where the village is right away. Damm... what a convenient skill. But I forgot to cut away my memory about me summoning him. Now I have a memory of me summon me which is weird. But when I want to delete that part away from my memory, it won't let me delete it. So this is the restriction of the skill. It won't let me delete my memory. I need to be careful next time about what I should add into my head.
I look up at the sky. I estimate the time and it should be around 3 pm. From what my human summon tells me, there is no big animal around here. So I decided to stay at this dungeon for tonight. Maybe tomorrow I can go and check out the village. Looking at the pile of wolf carcass laying outside the dungeon, I start to search in my memories folder about animal skinning. Soon I found a few from movies that I used to watch. Then I insert all of them into my human summon. And I tell them to skin those wolfs. My original plan was for them to try skinning these wolves. But now I don't need to.
I closely observed 12 people skinning their first wolf. Once they were done, I proceeded to copy each of their memories about skinning into a folder. And then give them a copy of each of that folder. So now they have 12 memories of skinning a wolf. I remember a saying: "the more you look, the more you learn".
After getting the memories, they start to act like they know what they are doing now. They start skinning animals faster than the first time. Once done, I start to repeat the same copy and paste. On the third try, I see them become a skillful butcher.
