Chapter One: My Story

The Rise of A Mage Hero is based on the Shonen Jump formula with a twist. See, I've always loved rivals more than the main characters so I realized. How about I make a story where a typical shonen rival is the main character. I made an idea focusing on that and now this is the rise of a mage hero. The first volume is going to be much less exciting than the others because it has no fighting. It's more on the transformation of the main character, Isamu Kurenai. I assure you the other volumes will be much better if you like more action driven volumes. You're probably wondering why I'm telling the story of an avenger and calling it the rise of a mage hero but that's because this is based on the hero's journey based off Joseph Campbell. Isamu Kurenai is a shonen rival version of Luke Skywalker. You'll notice the main character is similar to Sasuke but I honestly took inspiration from Season 0's Yami Yugi.
