Chapter 3: She loves someone?
Sia dreamed in her sleep. She saw a handsome bridegroom and a beautiful bride exchanged their rings and were about to kiss. But when she saw the bridegroom's face, she felt her blood reached its boiling point. She stepped towards the couple and slapped the groom hard. The slap was so hard that it echoed in the hall multiple times. The man was so dumbfounded that he did not respond to her slap for a long time. His friend, the one whom our Sia thought to be the bride of the marriage reacted first. He called his friend. But the man was stupefied to the point he no longer knew where he was and who he was. But then he heard the sweetest melody in the world.
"You...You... How can you be this shameless? How can you marry another girl than me? How can you do this to me? I loved you and I still love you. But what did you do? Getting another mistress? You, Wait and see how am I going to punish you? You liar, you..."
Suddenly, Sia realized there was another person near him. She shot her (actually him) a death glare and slapped her three times.
Albert was so shocked and he could not pinpoint the reason why he received consecutive slaps from her. But he knew he was powerless against her. He still felt pain in his cheeks.
Sia glanced the bride up and down and screamed.
"You family cracker. How can you marry my hubby? He is already married. So, stay away from him or else I will give you 8 slaps. I dare you to come near my hubby, you will see what I can...."
Just then her friend Celine dragged her backwards.
"Sia, Are you mad? What are you doing?"
"No Celle, I am not mad" Sia pointed towards the bride and yelled, "She is the culprit. She dared to marry my hubby. Call the cops to arrest her. I'll make sure she will not die in my hands."
Sia was ready to rush forward and slap the bride. But Celine held her friend tightly so that she will not cause any problems. After helping Sia to sit, Celine came forward and apologized to the guests on her friend's behalf.
She hid her hatred towards the man and said to him, "Sorry. She didn't mean that. You are not the one she loves. Sorry to cause this trouble."
She looked at her friend and was ready to move but suddenly she felt someone holding her wrist. So, she looked back.
"What did you say?" asked the man.
"What? Oo...That... Sorry, she did..."
"Not that. She loves someone?" he asked.
Celine didn't think much and replied, "That., Yes. She loved someone and she still does. But that man is going to..."
"Stop it. I don't want to hear anything" then he left.
After leaving the hall, he went to a bar and immersed himself in alcohol. If only he knew this would happen, he would never have delayed his confession to her. If only he confessed earlier, would she have loved him?
At the hall, Sia was somewhat clearheaded. She recalled the mess she had created and searched for him. But she cannot find him. So, she asked his friends about his whereabouts.
When Sia entered the bar, she could not find him. So, she thought he must have left. She turned to leave when she saw a familiar silhouette. She went near him and pulled him to go. But he was stronger than her even in this drunken state. But she managed to get him to a hotel room and she left.
At present.
The man stood near the window and was glancing outside.
Someone knocked on the door and entered the room.
Albert came near him and glanced where the man was staring at. He was not shocked to see Sia outside. He knew him very well.
He could not forget how his friend lived after he knew about her love. For the past few years, his friend lived like a zombie. He could not forget how he cried in his drunken state. He could not forget how he tried to kill himself two times. Even though he could not see her, he had always bought gifts for her on her birthday every year. Even though he did not have any rights over her, he had always helped her without her knowledge.
A year before, after that incident, he thought his friend could live his life happily. But what happened yesterday... He could not help but pity his friend.
Albert patted his friend's shoulder but the man did not react.
"You know, you can move on," Albert said.
Still, he did not get any response.
When he thought his friend won't respond, the man talked.
"But I don't want to"
'Sigh'
Albert didn't know what to do with his friend. Still, he asked something that his friend hated.
"What if she gets married in the future? What will you do? Stay alone?"
But what he got as a response was a death glare. Albert wondered how come he was still alive.
Then the man left hurriedly. Albert also followed him because he saw fear in his eyes.
But when he came downstairs, he saw his friend hiding behind a window. He was going to ask why but when he saw Sia, he could not open his mouth to talk. He hated Sia because she was selfish and she didn't care about his friend's feelings. See, she was ready to leave already. But he...
He shook his head when he thought about his friend's state. He could not imagine what he will do next?
Soon, Sia bade farewell to them and left with Celine.
Albert turned to see his friend but he cannot find him.
'He must have gone there,' he thought then he went upstairs.
